Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 43 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant disappointment with the quality of the products, noting that watches frequently stopped working or had components fail shortly after purchase, despite the brand's premium reputation. People also found the customer service to be consistently poor, with many reporting difficulties in getting responses, receiving inadequate assistance, or facing high repair costs for issues they believed were manufacturing defects. The price of repairs and services was often considered excessive, leading to frustration, especially when watches were still under warranty or had recently been purchased. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with customer service, praising their helpfulness and efficiency in resolving issues and servicing watches quickly. A few other people also felt that certain watch models offered good value, were stylish, rugged, and suitable for various occasions, despite some concerns about strap quality.

Premium Prices, Poor Service: A Major Disappointment with Tisso

I chose to purchase a watch from Tissot because I trusted the brand and expected a premium experience, especially as this was an anniversary gift. However, the product I received was noticeably different from what was advertised on your website. The quality, appearance, and overall impression did not match the premium image your brand promotes.

What disappointed me even more was the return process. After paying approximately €800 for this watch, I was shocked to discover that I would be required to pay for the return shipping myself and assume full responsibility for the package and any potential issues during transit. This is highly unreasonable for a company of your size and reputation.

I do not wish to go through an unfair return process for a product that does not match what was presented online. I am requesting a replacement with the correct watch as advertised on your website.

Frankly, it is unacceptable that a company charging premium prices provides such a poor customer experience and fails to take responsibility when customer expectations are not met. I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter.

From Loyal Customer to Never Again

My kids gifted me a Tissot T-Classic White for Christmas. They paid 525 AUD for it with their hard-earned money, which made the watch even more special to me.

Just two years later — and already outside the warranty period — the watch started acting strangely. The timekeeping itself seemed fine, but the second hand would stop for about 5 seconds and then jump forward 5 times to catch up. Very odd.

I went to the Tissot store in Melbourne, where I was told this was simply a sign that the battery needed replacing. Fair enough.

The watch was then sent to their service centre, and I received this response:

“The watchmaker has examined your watch and determined that the watch’s timekeeping is not within published tolerance.”

Their recommendation? A full maintenance service costing 209 AUD for something I truly believe is a defect.

I declined. Tissot warned me that without the service, the battery would drain faster. Again, fair enough.

So I went to my local watchmaker, who replaced the battery for 30 AUD. If the battery lasts even one year, you can do the maths.

Very disappointing customer service from a brand I had been loyal to for years. We own several Tissot watches in our family, but sadly, this experience means we won’t be buying another one.

Deeply disappointed!

Deeply disappointed with the lack of quality of the watch I purchased, as a surprise for my husband’s special birthday.
The watch has been sent back to Tissot twice, whilst under warranty, but the issue was not resolved.
Initially, it was so difficult to contact customer service.
Just last week; I took it to an independent repairer, who confirmed that my initial issues had not been resolved.
All I can say now, after giving up on my enquiries and hopes of assistance from Tissot; is DON’T buy one of their watches. They are duds, masquerading as quality.

Poor customer service

Placed an order. Received an email my watch wasn’t being sent to a residence. Customer Service said they made a mistake. When I asked them to reinstate the order they said it’s canceled and they refused to reinstate. I know need to start the process all over. Poor customer service.

I sent my Tissot watch to the…

I sent my Tissot watch to the after-sales service for repair. After the repair was completed, the watch was mistakenly delivered to another customer.

Fortunately, that customer was honest enough to contact Tissot and personally return my watch to me. Without his initiative, I might never have recovered it.

I was very surprised that a watch entrusted to Tissot’s service center could be handed over to a third party. Even more disappointing, Tissot declined to offer any commercial gesture or compensation, stating that the incident was beyond their control.

While I appreciate that I eventually recovered my watch, this happened solely because of another customer’s honesty, not because of Tissot’s internal controls.

This experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Tissot’s after-sales service.

After sales service a complete fail

Wonderful product but customer service a complete fail. Staff are polite and professional but not empowered. After sales service is as poor as I’ve experienced. Escalation to senior management no result. Buy the product and enjoy but expect nothing from Tissot

Never again...

This happen long time ago but I am still frustated by Tissot behavior.
I bought the first Tissot Touch model in the Middle East upon returning from a mission.

I had the watch for over 10 years, and one day the battery needed replacing. I contacted an authorized dealer in France, who sent the watch to Tissot in Switzerland.

Tissot's response was this:

"We will not change the battery or do anything else to your watch.
We had a 10-year legal obligation to maintain these watches, which has now ended.
We have decided to take back all the first-series Touch watches.

We will keep your watch, and in exchange, we will give you a discount voucher to buy another Touch. But there will be no battery replacement or anything else."

I tried to negotiate with them, offering to sign a waiver, stating that only the battery needed changing, etc., etc. Nothing worked. UNACCEPTABLE. How can a watch I bought be exchanged for a discount voucher and kept by the brand?

I called them, try to explained that my watch had sentimental value and that I absolutely did not want to part with it... but it was no use.

I asked to get my watch back. Later a watchmaker in Switzerland changed the battery but didn't guarantee that the watch was "waterproof" as it was originally, because Tissot equipment is required to do this on this type of watch :( .

Never Tissot again..Seiko , Longines etc but this really sucks

From Swiss made to China manufactured

I've got a rare Tissot Heart Flower watch as a present for my birthday, less then a year of wearing it (was really often on my wrist) it started falling apart from inside, without being hit, dropped, etc.
That is a shame really, cuz paying 500 GBP for a watch that won't last an year is simply pathetic, not what is expected from that brand. Swiss quality turned to conventional China street market brand. Really sad!
I wish I can attach a pictures of the falling apart Flower inside the watch but that option is not available...
Service offered in the UK will take at least month as I been told in their Covent Garden shop... Long story short - never again Tissot, farewell merchant...

BEWARE TISSOT SERVICE

BEWARE TISSOT SERVICE. I have a Tissot watch which needed a new battery. No watch shop in Herefordshire would accept the watch-all saying it had to go back to Tissot-which I reluctantly did only now to be informed by them that it will cost £282.00 as the case is marked, the strap is unrepairable and a host of other items being wrong-none of which I recognise. This is the second time this has happened to me as my previous Tissot needed a new battery after 5 years and I was told it was unrepairable and was offered a 20% discount on a replacement watch-which is this one.It seems to me that this a bit of a racket and that watch shops are encouraged to advise that the watch be sent away for service for service which results in excessive costs-I have asked for my watch to be returned-no answer so far!!!

Tissot T touch solar sport.

Tissot T touch solar sport.
Terrible support. I bought the watch from European boutique in Toronto. After 10 months it stopped working so I returned it under warranty for repair. 5 months later I still haven’t received it back from the workshop. No communication and terrible support.
As a previous loyal customer to Tissot I’ll never buy another watch from them.

Quality concern

I recently purchased a Tissot PRX Automatic watch as a gift for my husband and was really looking forward to receiving it, given Tissot’s strong reputation for Swiss quality and craftsmanship.
However, I was quite disappointed to find that the watch arrived with so many visible scratches. For a brand new item, especially at this price point (around $1200) I expected it to be in flawless condition. This raised concerns about quality control and handling before delivery.
I had saved for this purchase, so it was meant to be a special and meaningful gift. While the design of the watch is beautiful the condition it arrived in did not meet my expectations.
I hope the company takes greater care in ensuring that products are thoroughly inspected and properly packaged before shipping, so future customers receive items that truly reflect the brand’s standards.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. A week after purchasing my tissot prc100 solar, the second hand fell off. I sent it in for repair, and it’s been a month and I still have no updates on its repair status. For $500 I’m sure this was a fluke, but it’s incredibly frustrating

Tissot watches have a very short lifespan

I recently left my Tissot watch with Goldsmiths to have the battery replaced and was charged £25 which I was informed would be taken off the bill. I received an email 2 weeks later telling me that the watch required repairs to the value of £140. In May 2022 I paid £135 for a similar repair. The staff member in Goldsmiths said he had never known these watches to fail. I brought my concerns to this company who ignored my remarks and advised that if I had the watch returned untouched I would forfeit the £25 deposit. Very poor customer service both from Tissot and Goldsmiths.

Shocking customer service.

I placed an order for a watch a week ago and spent a significant amount of money, and the customer service experience since then has been completely unacceptable. I have sent multiple emails and called repeatedly every day — often 10+ times — and have not received a single response from a real person.

Seven days with no reply, no update, and no support is shocking. For a brand that presents itself as a luxury watch company, this level of service is appalling. A true luxury brand stands behind its customers and provides timely, professional support — this has been the exact opposite.

Based on this experience alone, I will not be purchasing from Tissot again.

Very poor customer service and extremely disappointing overall.
