Ordering on the web site was quick and easy. The item was dispatched the same day with a next day delivery promise, unfortunately the courier took two days to deliver it. This wasn’t Toolstops fault... See more

Ordered a item on 16th

Ordered a item on 16th, its now 28th.

Already been fobbed off asking for a full refund. Asked for it to be here within 48hr almost a week later. Seeing as their failed delivery wasnt even showing as collected. Never revieved a refund of any sort. Then email them on friday 26th. I get told they asked shipper, 2 days later nothing back. Ive asked for a Full Refund on sun 28th june 2026. Almost 2 weeks for nothing? Your shipping is usless. Clearly the company u use for shipping is completely shot.

I could have simply picked this up 2 weeks ago and had the job in hand done and finished by now.

Disabilities stop me from driving. This is why we as a customer need reliable shipping companies.

Appalling service

I ordered an advertised HiKOKI twin-pack angle grinder sold by The Tool Stop Staffs Ltd, a “trusted” marketplace affiliate via B&Q Marketplace. However, only one of the two grinders was delivered. After I contacted The Tool Stop Staffs Ltd to query the missing item, they repeatedly failed to answer my direct questions about whether the missing 115mm grinder would actually be supplied.

Instead, I was instructed to return the delivered 230mm grinder first, with the assurance that the correct twin-pack order would then be “sorted”. Because their responses were evasive from the outset and consistently avoided answering straightforward questions about fulfilment of the original order, I became increasingly concerned that they had no intention of honouring the order.

Nevertheless, I returned the grinder promptly at their request and provided tracking confirmation once it had been successfully delivered back to them.

My concerns ultimately proved justified. Instead of resolving the issue or confirming fulfilment of the original order, The Tool Stop Staffs Ltd simply processed a refund without explanation and ignored further messages asking whether they intended to honour the advertised order at all.

The whole process caused considerable inconvenience, as I had purchased the tools specifically for an ongoing project which has now been delayed. I had also already purchased compatible 110V plugs and related accessories for tools that were never supplied.

The refund itself is appreciated, but the conduct of the marketplace seller was extremely poor throughout: partial fulfilment of the order, evasive communication, misleading instructions, and repeated failure to answer straightforward questions.

Given the manner in which the order was handled, and the representations made during the returns process, I believe B&Q should review whether this seller is behaving appropriately as a marketplace affiliate.

This is not what I would expect from a retailer presented through a major brand marketplace.

Very poor service.

I ordered and payed for on the 3rd of November, for a pair of Roughneck 35-602 colt 600e trestles.
I received a dispatch email on the 4th to say they were on the way .
I contacted you on the 7th to see where they were to which you replied " confirm your address so we can check tracking"?
well if you had dispatched them surely you would know that?
I have messaged you 4 times via B&Q market place and you have not got back to me once to let me know the score.
Not more than 20 minutes ago I received an email from B&Q telling me the trestles had been returned because of damage, how can they be returned when they have not ben delivered?
And I will get a refund in 14 days
Absolutely no correspondence from you at all.
Appalling customer service.
Have advised B&Q to remove you from their market place.
Had you of let me know what was happening all would be golden.

Four day delivery

Ordered due to it's next day delivery for an urgent order, but delivery was not received until four days later, including an attempted delivery at the wrong address. Not the fault of toolstop, but the delivery service they selected on this occasion was not appropriate for the speed they promise on the website. Four days is fast in the grand scheme of things, but then the text/expectations should match reality.

Stressful shipping

The tool seems ok and the price was fine. But the next day delivery was fraught. The problem seems to be that Toolstop has switched from using DPD to APC. The latter uses independent couriers for the final delivery and, in my case, for SW London, this meant Streetwise Couriers who are hopeless. Instead of the next day, I got the tool in four days and that was only by going to the depot to collect it. This was quite stressful and time-consuming. Also, there was no additional packaging -- they just put a shipping label on the tool's box. One end was crushed and so this might damage some devices.
