My review really dwells on two parts. The fact that I was able to put together what became an excellent tour with very little lead time is the first part. I contacted Ume travel and was contacted by Lan Liu approximately the last couple days of May. I told her I wanted a personal tour for two involving 2 people, including Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, etc.) and Okinawa to start on June 5 as I was flying into Japan (tickets already procured) on June 4 and exiting on June 21. Lan Liu communicated directly for the next few days via Whatsapp and was able to develop a tour that merged the attractions that would not only interest me but also would accommodate certain mobility restrictions that I had. I am not able to do the 20K steps per day reflected in standard tours so the schedule had to be amended to suit my level of mobility. Lan Liu carefully, through direct give and take conversations, was able to put together a program that was interesting, informative, and in my case, doable in literally two or three days. I cannot commend her enough on her level of interest, her persistence in trying to find the appropriate locations and experiences, and her ability to put this together in a minute timeframe -- and still have it work out well. 5 stars plus for her.

The actual tour varied from very good to excellent, somewhat because of weather concerns (especially in Okinawa). The guides in Japan proper were all awesome varying between standard guide activities and guide speak. They also took the time to take to non-standard places to eat, the meals were in out of the way places and generally awesome. The hotels that were chosen fit our requirements and more. In short, I would definitely choose to come back to Ume Travel for any future tours and would highly recommend their services to anyone.

I had understandable concerns when dealing with an online travel company—especially when a large amount of money is involved—and Steven managed my concerns beautifully. His was efficient, personable, and immediately responsive to my many queries, which built a level of trust that was absolutely justified. The tour was everything we hoped for. I will certainly recommend Steven and Ume Travel to my family friends who are planning to travel to Japan and Asia soon.

From planning to the trip everything was amazing. Lan Liu, our travel consultant put together a wonderful trip, making changes where needed and answering any questions we had. The itinerary was managable for myself and a five year old, and all of the places we visited were magical. My five year old now wants to move to Japan and is already planning on going back with the rest of the family.

The tour was expertly organized by Ivan, hitting high points of cultural, historical, and environmental interest. The hotels were excellent, and transportation was arranged without a flaw. The guides were dedicated, gracious, and congenial, though their command of English and of Japanese culture is still a work in progress.

We had a great experience with UME travels due to Ivan our point of contact. He customised our itinerary based on our requirements. Every arrangement was perfectly made, there was not a single glitch from start to finish. More importantly Ivan would respond to every query within minutes - be it night it day, which made us feel very comfortable. Very responsive! Amazing trip

From start to finish, Dan was incredibly helpful in the planning and the execution of the trip. There were a lot of moving parts and when small issues arose, UME was there to remedy them.

UME Travel is a treasure for those of us seeking safety, comfort, and peace of mind when traveling. Dan Li helped me plan every idea and what I dreamed of for this trip; no matter how often I messaged him to add something new or shake up the itinerary, he always accommodated my requests with a great attitude and willingness to help. He ask me allways if we need more thing to make comes true our dream travel and made it !!thanks Dan li for such a wonderfull trip.
We had very nice hoteles 4 stars choosed by Dan and we were very happy with them. The locations of the hotels were perfect. Dan took the time to choose them carefully—it was as if he knew my tastes, as he managed to make us feel very comfortable; I’m particular about hotels, yet we had no complaints. We loved the traditional hotel at Mount Fuji, where we slept on tatami mats and were welcomed with a traditional Japanese dinner—it was quite an Unforgettable experience!!!
We felt in Arriving in Japan and being met by someone to take us to our hotel was an invaluable, stress-free experience—especially in a country where the language barrier is significant. Every morning, we were met in the hotel lobby to be guided along our planned routes—and beyond—because if we asked for something extra, they always found a way to make it happen. They even sent a birthday cake to the hotel for my husband as surprise for him!! Their guides are the kindest, most helpful people you could hope to meet. Clifford in Tokyo was efficient, precise, and always incredibly friendly. Sarah in Kyoto was wonderful; she explained everything with such joy and a positive attitude, and she patiently waited for us at every stop we wanted to make—always smiling and ready to help. And Zack in Osaka—my personal photographer! Without a second thought, he offered to take photos and brought his own camera along to capture the most beautiful shots of my whole family in kimonos and samurai dressing. For someone so young, he possessed impressive culture and knowledge, helping us better understand every attraction we visited. He became like a son to me; I even teared up when we said goodbye. UME Travel’s incomparable service and the genuine warmth of their guides turn your dream trip into reality. I recommend them a thousand percent!

We had an absolutely amazing two-week trip through Japan, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Dan Li and Ume Travel did a fantastic job planning every detail . Everything was thoughtfully organized, allowing us to enjoy the beauty, culture, food, and history of Japan without having to worry about any logistics.

A special thank you to our tour guide, Hang, who was incredibly attentive, professional, and organized throughout the trip. Hang made sure every arrangement went smoothly and was always available to help with anything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care made our experience even more memorable.

UME Travel organized a fantastic Japan journey for our family. The program was interesting, varied and well balanced, combining modern cities with beautiful natural scenery and cultural experiences.

When unexpected circumstances arose because of the typhoon, the team quickly adjusted the itinerary and provided helpful guidance. Their professionalism and customer care gave us great confidence throughout the trip.

I worked with Carrie from UME travel and booked a 5 country tour through Asia over 3 weeks for my family of 6. Phenomenal experience with Carrie. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and responded rapidly. From detailed planning, through booking, and during the trip, she was with me every step organizing and putting out fires quickly. She made us feel extremely supported and VIP. Excellent. Our Guide Brian was AMAZING! super knowledgeable in so many ways, it truly was an educational experience for us as well. The organization was perfect not to exhausting, with enough free time. The main things to see and do were included. The guides and drivers were very nice and helpful and we felt safe and taking care of.

Ivan from UME travel made our trip to Japan for a week a great experience. He customized our itinerary, the arrangements were seamless and flawless .Every query or question was responded to almost instantaneously, and we had plenty. We had 3 tour guides , Lynn, Momo and Hikari, everyone showed up ahead of time,
and made our experience in Japan memorable .
The drivers at each city coordinated with us a day ahead, were very punctual and very polite .

We worked with Felix to create a vacation plan that would satisfy the whole family, My husband and I and our 14 and 6 year old boys. Felix was fantastic, he made me comfortable from the start. He made suggestions, changes, and plans that we all loved. All of our tour operators, private guides, and drivers were great and had great communication. Felix checked in on us and even made changes when we requested mid-trip. I was nervous to use UME to make plans because I always make all the plans but it ended up being great. Our hotels were perfect and all of our tickets and plans were seamless. Thank you Felix! Japan was incredible.

Eva is our super assistant for our trip to Japan!
She suggested great itinerary to match with our preference. We want one private tour with guide and experience public transportations and walk. And another day with join group tour to Mont.Fuji. All the food which included in our program are great as well.

Hotel Mitsui Garden that we stayed is very nice. We had small issue up on check in about accommodation tax. But when I contact Eva and her team, all problem solved in seconds.

This is the tour operator should be and I'm sure UME Travel and Eva will be our assistant for next time to Japan!

Authentic experiences and very knowledgeable guide

We just wanted to thank Steven Hu and UME travel for organizing such a wonderful trip for us to China and Hong Kong. The entire experience was fantastic, and we were genuinely sad to leave these beautiful destinations. We arrived home a couple of days ago, and we're still talking about all the incredible memories we made.

Everything went very smoothly, especially the transfers, which were arranged so seamlessly. Your hotel selections were excellent, and every driver and tour guide we met was professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming.

This was truly a beautiful and unforgettable journey. We had the opportunity to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, and Osaka, each offering its own unique culture, history, and atmosphere. The itinerary provided a perfect balance between modern attractions and traditional Japanese experiences.

Some of the highlights of the trip included riding the Shinkansen (bullet train), visiting several breathtaking temples and shrines, experiencing a traditional Kimono and Tea Ceremony, exploring the incredible scenery of Hakone, and enjoying unforgettable days at Disney and Universal Studios Japan.
