Buyer beware of "investment coins"
Buyer beware of "investment coins" sold by this company.
The company sells "investment coins" with autographs from Ed Moy. The coins sell for thousands of dollars above the bullion spot price. They "guarantee" a buy back at 82% of the retail price of you hold these coins for 5 years.
I bought these coins and held them for more than 5 years. Recently, I tried to sell them back to the company. They offered me $7,000 less than I paid for them. If I would have just bought bullion, instead of listening to the sales pitch, I would have been up more than 100% on my money over the same period of time.
Hindsight is 20/20, but the coins are a ponzi scheme. One of the selling points was that there would be proportional growth when bullion grew. There was not the correlated growth. Bullion exploded and the coins barely moved.
The market has seen they won't respond with movements in the bullion market as promised. This means they will need to find new and undereducated buyers to sell the coins being held by investors, ie, a ponzi scheme.
The asset didn't move with the bullion market so it is an arbitrary price set by the Gold Bureau. The only way they can show a return to their investors is inflating the price and hoping there will always be someone dumb enough to buy it again. On a long enough time frame, they run out of buyers. If you are holding your coins, turn it into bullion. If you are thinking about buying the coins, don't....unless of coarse you want to be the sucker in the room and want to waste money like I did. Best advice, find a different dealer and avoid investment, certified and almost all numismatic coins. At the end of the day, the metal is only worth its weight and purity. Don't believe me....go ask a "We buy gold" place what they will pay for a PF70GAB. They will tell you spot price.

You promised that my order would come via a hand receipt, signature, and handed me personally. This did not happened. The package was left on my doorstep until my contractors arrived for some repairs to my house in the late afternoon. They told me that I had a package on my doorstep. It was my items I'd ordered from you. It sat on my door step for hours! Any one could have walked away with the items. I was at home all day and no door bell or knock was had to alert me. Thought you might want to know what kind if service is being supplied by your carriers.
