Very caring and compassionate staff. I'd have happily given 5 stars, however the fees are extortionate. Having to go there in an emergency is terrifying enough and then you're hit by a massive bill.

Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Excellent service from a very knowledgeable and caring team. The best! I can not fault them at all in their service very professional. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, my pet was seen within a half an hour from initial call. The call handler was kind and sympathetic that my cat had been injured and needed urgent help. Also helped me calm down and gave me reassurance the cat would receive care asap.

Unfortunately I don’t think the vet knew much about guinea pigs and so he deteriorated significantly overnight and by the time he reached another vet in the morning, couldn’t be saved. I don’t feel it was helpful or value for money.

The staff and treatment we received was fabulous
£302 before even being seen is extortionate.

I cannot thank the team enough for the exceptional care they gave to my dog. Every member of staff was kind, compassionate, professional and genuinely caring.
They took the time to explain everything clearly, treated Doris with such love and respect, and made a difficult time so much easier for us.
Their dedication, empathy and expertise were outstanding. I felt completely supported throughout, and I will always be grateful for the care Doris received.
A truly amazing veterinary practice that goes above and beyond for both pets and their owners. ❤️🐾

Can’t thank the vet who saw my pup enough for being so kind and patient. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us time to think as well as talking us through everything and answering all our questions. I don’t think she realises how amazing she is and how much she helped us in a stressful time

We could not have been better looked after when we just turned up with our young Labrador. The reception staff were amazing and saw a vet within minutes. Our dog had to stay in over night and we received regular updates which was very reassuring. 1st class service.

I phoned them for advice as I didn’t know at the time my dog had a grass seed in her ear. They were very good told me to go to the local PDSA Gillingham asap and they would be waiting. Luckily we didn’t wait too long to be seen and grass seed confirmed. The took her for sedation to remove it and we waited about 1 1/2 hours she ended up with general anaesthetic but successfully removed. The nurse was lovely we didn’t actually see a vet. The reception was manned by everyone my only criticism was that when you rang the bell to go in it took ages for someone to answer and the actual receptionist was not very friendly, we booked in and she did ent even say to take a seat she wasn’t rude just didn’t communicate. But overall they were very good x

Easy to contact and prompt appointment arranged without fuss. Expert evaluation, explanation and treatment plan. Very friendly (thanks for the cup of tea!). This was my second experience of Prospect House in Colwyn Bay, and just as good as the first.

We took our last pet rat to be put down 2 weeks ago. Emergency appt on a Saturday eve. Whilst the vet was kind, for £200 we expected to be given more time - we felt quite rushed. It was also a massive amount to pay for a very quick procedure, and I struggle to understand the breakdown of costs involved

Sadly had to take our cat to be put to sleep Sunday. The staff were vey understanding and compassionate. I'd have happily given 5 stars, however the fees are extortionate. First messed up our bill which shockingly tallied up to £700 then was reduced to a staggering £550. I know its the weekend but come on.. There are staff and vets there all weekend. I'd understand if someone had to come in for an emergency.
Your emotions are bad enough and then you're hit by a ridiculous bill.

My cat collapsed at the weekend with what turned out to be heart failure. Right from the first call to the call centre, the team were fantastic, professional, understanding and sympathetic. They took the time to explain what was going on, next steps etc. My cat has a long and difficult road ahead, but knowing the team are there for my cat is great comfort.

Was made welcome, problem discussed with vet nurse first, water bowl brought out for my dog. Consultation was friendly, concise and reassuring. All questions and concerns answered.
Helpful when discussing insurance and claiming etc at reception.
