Kind of sucks

Kind of suck. Use WithJoy or TheKnot instead. After a wedding website of nearly a year they are suddenly withholding our funds and requesting documentation previously not required. A lot of aspects of the wedding website and import/export access (like gift tracker/wedding cash fund gifts) are not accessible/offered at all which is insane to me. I am not normally a spreadsheet person but I should be able to export a spreadsheet of wedding gifts so we can keep track. A lot of the website features were not useful/useable for us (like invitation tracking etc.). It was pretty manual and clunky and we were not at all impressed. My experience using other websites (as a guest to their wedding rather than the bridal couple) was much easier. Neither my partner nor I had experience with backend for various sites and had seen similarly lackluster reviews for all the major competitors when we needed to make our decision so we went with Zola because as guests it was easy to use for us but it was NOT as the bridal couple. Super clunky, wondering where our money is, not enough import/export features offered. Go with GiveJoy or TheKnot.

Never buy from Zola directly

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience purchasing a dresser from Zola. I’ve been trying to fulfill this registry item since June 5th, and the process has been defined by a total lack of proactive communication.

Despite repeated follow-ups, I was constantly left in the dark about delays and the actual status of my order—at one point even being assured it would arrive when it was clearly not ready to ship. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with Zola regarding discontinued items and poor communication. It feels like I’ve had to chase the support team for every bit of information, and the resolution process has been frustratingly rigid, refusing to offer a cash refund for the credits used, effectively trapping my business with them. I have lost all trust in their ability to manage orders reliably and would not recommend relying on them for important registry items.

Hi Angel & Jasmine,

I'm so sorry to see we dropped the ball on your experience. Managing your registry gifts should be easy and exciting, and chasing us for updates got in the way of that.

I've sent you a quick note via email. I'd love to make this right.

They don’t screen the subscribers. They took, and placed an order at Kohl’s, from someone who stole my phone number, name, and email address.
Luckily, Kohl’s cancelled the order and sent me the name and address of the person who was to receive the package along with the order number.

As a vendor I’m giving this company a 1…

I will begin by saying you can go off of reviews of vendors on Zola because people do on a rare occasion actually book but as a vendor I’m giving this company a 1 star review. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve given them years thinking I was doing something wrong but I’m not. We can pay for a featured spot and I’ve paid every 3 months and it’s done nothing to help me with visibility and leads. They give fake leads too. They need to be sued. I’ve invested so much money hoping they’d throw me a bone and get my profile seen but they truly don’t care about that. I encourage you to join the Facebook group called The Knot and Wedding Wire and other scams. My profile is stellar and constantly updated and my client greeting message is perfect yet nobody is reaching out and when they do it’s always the same message not even addressing me by name because Zola encourages couples to reach out to many vendors so they get more money! 💰 It’s a sad platform that needs removed.

Ordered my gift the day I received the invitation ( 2 months before the shower). Several weeks later, never received by the bride. Minimal response by Zola, 'we aren't taking phone calls'. Finally received a response from Zola (email), asked to be shipped to my home immediately. "It's not available right now".
Seriously???
Will NEVER again order through Zola.

Called to ask a question and was told that they were not taking phone calls at this time. Contacted the chat support and all they did was ask questions such as my e mail and phone number than told me for $5.00 they would connect me to an answer site. I wish they had just registered at Target or WalMart!

On 6/30/26 I ordered a wedding gift off…

On 6/30/26 I ordered a wedding gift off of a registry. I received an acknowledgement of the order and that it would ship between 7/3 and 7/14/26. I never received a tracking report or an email that the gift was delivered as I have from all other companies I've ordered from. You cannot speak to them, their phone number said to email them which I did stating if I did not hear from them by weeks end, I would dispute it with my credit card company. Here is their reply:

"Thanks for reaching out - happy to help!
I'm happy to report the couple successfully received your gift on Jul 07, 2026!

We do advise couples to send thank you notes within three months of their wedding, but the timeline is completely up to them! You'll likely receive a thank you note in the coming months."

My conclusion is they are idiots.

I would never order again

We ordered invitations for our 50th anniversary vow renewal from Zola.com. It was the most frustrating experience I’ve had with ordering something and I would never order from them again. The invitations arrived with some partial words and letters in black printed over the flowers and greenery on the top left corner of every invitation. I contacted Zola and asked for replacements. I was told I’d have to reorder. I felt they should be free and would have been willing to send the defective ones back. Kenneth did give 50% back after seeing my photos of the invitations and then offered 40% off and free shipping after many messages, but replacing them should have been easy and totally free. There was no option where fixing their mistake would be free. We decided to send the invitations with the error because this was causing me too much stress.

Zola was helpful to search for vendors…

Zola was helpful to search for vendors and to keep my planning timeline on track. Also had good experience editing and ordering Save the Dates. However, had several issues with our registry. Specifically, we found that Zola was not properly syncing with our other registry websites (Target, Crate and Barrel) and would not be updated in a timely manner even if it was marked as purchased on Zola by the gift-giver. This resulted in several duplicate items.

Constantly out of stock and overpriced

They're constantly out of stock of items even if you order while it appears they're in stock. They also have higher prices than just about any other platform. Please use any other registry service other than Zola for your own sanity.

Very disappointed with my experience…

Very disappointed with my experience with Zola. I received a damaged TV stand with the two main pieces cracked, making it impossible to assemble. I contacted customer service over a week ago and still have no resolution.

I emailed them, called multiple times, and was repeatedly told I would receive an update within 24–48 hours, but the emails never came. Every time I follow up, I get another promise and no actual solution.

What’s most frustrating is that companies like Amazon or Wayfair usually resolve issues like this immediately, either by replacing the damaged parts or arranging a return quickly. I honestly expected much better customer service from a company as large as Zola.

At this point, I regret using Zola for my wedding registry and am seriously considering transferring the remaining funds to my bank account instead of continuing to purchase through them. The entire process has been stressful, time-consuming, and extremely disappointing.

Extremely disappointed with my experience using Zola. The platform is advertised as an easy way to combine and manage registries, but it created more problems than it solved. I had multiple duplicate purchases on items that were literally marked as needing only ONE purchased, and customer support’s solution was basically for me to manually go in and fix everything myself over and over again.

At this point, I’ve spent more time troubleshooting registry errors and figuring out returns than actually enjoying the process. There has been little to no real assistance, and every issue seems to create another one. For a service meant to simplify wedding planning, this has been incredibly stressful and frustrating.

Would absolutely not recommend to future brides.

DO NOT ORDER a wedding registry gift…

DO NOT ORDER a wedding registry gift through Zola/Target!!! They do NOT update their system properly, so the item I ordered through Target was already ordered but did not show that in the registry! I tried to cancel my order through Target since it was the same day, but because it was a Target Plus item meaning through a 3rd party vendor I can’t cancel the order because it’s already been processed. Great customer service Zola/Target…wrong!!! Instead, I had to make calls to Zola who then referred me to Target, who then referred me to Target Plus just to tell me what I already knew. Which is ridiculous since I ordered the gift item on Sat afternoon and tried to cancel it that night! The ordered had been processed, but definitely NOT shipped because the estimated arrival date was over a week away!!! I should have easily been able to cancel that order because Zola/Target registry doesn’t communicate with its retailers and is beyond worthless in helping resolve the issues they create! So, now I have wait until Mon when I hopefully get the tracking info and I have to call whoever the shippping company and refuse the shipment per the Target Plus customer service agent’s instructions and then I should get a credit back. Are you kidding me…why do I have to do ALL the work to resolve the poor communication and customer service issues these companies have! What a frickin waste and I’ll never order a thing from Target/Zola ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gift Card Buyers Beware...

Terrible customer service.
I bought a gift card on a friend's wedding registry. She reached out and told me the code for the gift card wasn't working and encouraged me to get a refund. Zola refused to give me a refund because according to them 'the code was active and Zola doesn't do refunds for digital gift cards'. I even reached out to the retailer themselves. They also refused my refund. They're very sneaky and miserly.

You will NEVER be able to delete your account

You will NEVER be able to delete your profile. They will send you a form to complete. Once you submit the required information for deletion, it asks for an authorization code. You are then told the code will be email to you. You will never receive the code and you will never be able to delete your account. This is actually, a data collection scam.
