I'm always reluctant to leave negative reviews but I’ve reached my breaking point.
The toilet has a “scaling” problem that doesn’t allow human waste (poo) to be flushed away. The problem was looked at a couple of months ago with it being escalated up to DynoRod to sort out - they checked things with cameras etc saying everything was okay.
Guess what? Back to same problem again only worse! Waste matter backing up for past 24 hours (their emergency call-out timeframe) with no contact apart from me calling them to REMIND them about my problem! Anyway - had to use local pub for a pee yesterday evening and local McDonalds for a poo (I had to arrange for a friend to come across just in case the contractors turned up!). Not doing my service related PTSD any good - all this second guessing and trying to mind read what’s possibly happening is adversely affecting my mental health - thank you Yorkshire Housing for harming me! (BTW. That’s me being passive/ aggressive).

Yorkshire Housing new portal is a nightmare. I have been locked out of my account for over two weeks now.None of the advisers seem to be able to help me,in fact I feel like I am going round in circles with them,with no one able to get me back into my account. The old website was good no problems at all this new portal is a total nightmare. The old saying is if it isn't broken don't try to fix it.

My son and I have recently become tenants of Yorkshire Housing. But so far, so brilliant. I myself am a brain injury survivor, as such I have both physical and cognitive impairments, I struggle with processing new information and following instructions. Even with my impaired cognitive function, Both Vicky and Becky have gently and patiently guided me through becoming a tenant and have explained how many services (beyond housing) are now available to me and my son. Our new flat is aesthetically pleasing and in good repair and the additional security which is afforded us, already has me feeling like I am entering a happy and safe stage in my life. Thanks to all involved, I’m genuinely grateful for everything you’ve done and I can’t recommend you highly enough.

After falling asleep on my medication I missed yesterday's emergency appointment to repair my open stuck bedroom, and ended up sleeping with it open all night, twas a chilly experience but and unnerving as I live in a high crime mountain estate. Fair play to Yorkshire Housing who responded early in the morning to resolve the issue, the operator Abid was very helpful, informative and very efficient at summing up my situation, as it is a ground floor flat and understood the security concerns, the repairs team responded within the alloted time to which I apologised for the tardiness on my behalf from yesterday and the gentleman was saying that no apology was necessary.
He promptly fixed the issue within fifteen minutes, lubricated the other windows to ensure that they didn't suffer from seizure and left total time twenty to thirty minutes.
Honestly flabbergasted at the efficiency and brilliance the result of the entire organisation, after being a long term Tennant of seventeen years Iv never had an emergency repair requirement, but if it does arise in the future I know that I'm in safe hands with Yorkshire Housing, Awsome job and great teamwork from Yorkshire Housing and setting the standards of great customer satisfaction within the letting industry. Thank you Yorkshire Housing, please stay brilliantly awesome.

Best customer service explained how to sign up to my portal as i haven't done it before because i didn't know what it was for and he explained perfectly! This is my first home i live in on my own and yorkshire housing have been so good with any issues i have felt.

I moved into my home approximately 5 years ago , it was in a horrendous state although I knew many of the issues, many were hidden due to it being a mutual exchange.
So over 5 years I have had many repair appointments and I can honestly say that many of the booked dates for repairs have been no shows , I received 11 reminders for an appointment last Monday and the guy didn’t turn up ! I was offered £ 30 compensation ( didn’t know that was a thing) that said ,it did not cover my days wages even by half . Still not received the £30 .
So it has been determined that my chimney on the roof needs to be repaired which is why my walls are damp , next available appointment is May 18th so 5 weeks I wait for it to be repaired another couple or so weeks for it to dry out and then will wait again for a plasterer to be booked to replace old plaster and then replaster , I also get the feeling I’ll then have to wait for that to dry before they can put skirting boards on and eventually maybe beginning of winter I will be left to redecorate . Some would say this is reasonable until you find out that there was a repair man on the roof only a few months ago repairing my neighbours half of the chimney , but didn’t think to prepare mine at the same time !
This is just the last mess I’ve had to deal with , it’s been this sort of hopeless scenario since I moved in . Reminder text at 8. am cancellation text after they should have arrived ! Common practice .
The only upside , is the customer service team that answer the phones , they are great but unfortunately have their hands tied and can only sympathise , however they do that well .
Got a new kitchen put in last summer ! Great untill they
1. Started putting up the wrong kitchen cupboards on my walls
2. Levelled the floor badly
3. Layed the flooring even worse ( not a qualified floor layer , think he was the electrician .
4 sent a painter in who was no older then a school leaver and who obviously had never painted anything in his life !
And to top it off I noticed the space where my cooker was to go was too small so they had to adjust the space afterwards and they damaged the door of my brand new fridge too !
Bathroom ! When the plumber puts the cold feed on the hot tap and hot feed on the old tap I actually gave up ! Seriously??!!
Bathroom door swells up won’t fit the hole so didn’t shut , so he shaved the door and left the bare wood showing ,…. first shower and we are back to showering with the door open again .
I think you might get my point now 🤪

I couldn't recommend Yorkshire Housing enough! I have been talking to Mollie French regarding my house move and she has always been so friendly, helpful and thorough with the information provided. I'm a classic worrier and overthinker, but nnothing has been too much for Mollie to assist me with, I've always felt like she's considered my needs and made me feel so comfortable. I'm really looking forward to being a Yorkshire Housing tenant!
