Very poor service

The service was disappointing. It does not support sending bulk business emails, which was a key requirement for our needs. This limitation should be communicated more clearly to potential customers.

--

I became a paying customer and migrated my organization's email infrastructure to Zoho with high expectations. Unfortunately, my onboarding experience was dominated by serious technical issues.

One of the most critical problems was an ActiveSync synchronization issue that rendered Outlook practically unusable for well over a month. Although the issue was eventually resolved, it required countless follow-ups, multiple escalations, involvement of supervisors, engineering teams and even customer relations before a solution was found.

A short time later, I encountered another issue with S/MIME. Despite having a paid plan that included the feature, I was initially told that my subscription did not support it. Once again, several follow-ups were required before the issue was finally acknowledged and resolved.

Technical problems can happen with any software. What disappointed me most was the overall support experience. Response times were often extremely long, I repeatedly had to chase updates myself, and several of my cases only progressed after being escalated.

Today, I have decided to migrate my organization to Microsoft 365 because I no longer have the level of trust I need for a business-critical email platform.

What is particularly disappointing is that I recently contacted Zoho again to request an early termination of my subscription as a gesture of goodwill, considering the difficulties I experienced throughout my onboarding. So far, I have not received any response.

In addition, my girlfriend recently discovered a Zoho charge on her bank account, even though she is not a Zoho customer and has no connection to my account. She contacted support immediately to clarify the situation and, according to her, has been waiting for weeks without receiving a response. While this is her own separate case, it unfortunately reinforces my impression that timely customer support is not one of Zoho's strengths.

I genuinely appreciate the individual support engineers and supervisors who tried to help me. This review is not directed at them personally. It reflects my overall customer experience over the past several months.

Sadly, based on that experience, I cannot recommend Zoho Mail.

I've really loved using Zoho Social

I've really loved using Zoho Social. Like all of Zoho's products, it just works. My previous provider often failed to send scheduled posts or sometimes only 2 out of 3 social channels would get the post. Zoho Social has been reliable and easy to use ever since I switched.

The software is very easy to use

The software is very easy to use, very very convenient. Quite generous with their free plan, and actually their tiers are quite generous. They are always on hand and proactive with making sure that you are using the platform well.

Too many limitations in Zoho Forms.

I am using Zoho Forms and there are too many limitations. The desktop version is not synchronized with the app. Also, WhatsApp integration has limitations, such as not being able to attach a PDF file to a message. After setting up everything and spending time, the end result is not good. Unsatisifed!

Zoho Invoices is a perfect experience

I have been using Zoho Invoices for over 15 years. It has allowed me to create a highly customised, beautiful and on brand invoice for all my client needs. It has excellent functionality and features including a user friendly interface, recurring invoices, late reminders and everything you could need including a payment portal for clients. Furthermore, I have been on the Free plan all this time. I can't recommended Zoho Invoices highly enough.

Solid accounting software

I have been using Zoho Books for more than 3 years now. I am a IT freelancer and also run 2 AirBnBs. By using Zoho Books I am able to keep everything under control -- recurring invoices, recurring expenses, BAS - all incredibly easy to use and manage. The mobile apps are fantastic as well and the pricing model is incredibly competitive.

Upgraded my account and lost every business email overnight. No warning

I signed up for Zoho One a month ago to automate part of my business. During the 30 day trial they offered ten free user accounts. I did not need them, so I cancelled the extras to avoid a bill of around 450 a month and kept the plan I actually wanted at 45. Sensible, or so I thought.

When the trial ended I upgraded and gave it no further thought. Forty eight hours later every single email account across my four businesses showed as inactive and cancelled. One of those businesses is a mental health clinic. Another had launched that very evening. At no point during the upgrade was I warned that this would happen.

It was a Friday at 8pm. I contacted chat support, who were unable to help and pointed me to Zoho One support. Zoho One support is supposedly available by phone, except it is not, unless you pay for a premium tier. So email only, on a Friday night, with client facing services down. After a long and frustrating call I was promised a callback. Instead I received an email telling me my ticket was cancelled because I had not paid for phone support.

No warning, no safety net, no help when it mattered. If you run anything time sensitive, think very carefully before trusting Zoho with it. I will be moving my businesses elsewhere.

Its more then bad

Its more then bad. We had an account with them and asked them to not renew the account (direct after they automated renewed it last year), we actually did not want to renew it last year already (the Zoho software is to buggy and unhinged). But as we tought ok, we maybe forget to cancel it, we checked for a cancel button but could not find one, so we asked the helpdesk to not renew again, and also asked them to remove our credit card from their system.

Already for a year we did not really use their system anymore (to buggy) but we had still one domainname with email connected (one that is almost not used).

Surprice, surprice they did not remove our credit card and charged us 77$ as a renewal.

We offcourse emailed the helpdesk that this is wrong and asked for a refund. Their reaction: Zoho as a policy do not refund ones it charged....

But we can use the funds for other services. No way they would pay back the at this moment stolen funds.

As its 77$ (what can we do) we choose to use the mail lite 10GB packet for the 2 accounts (35$).

The cheating is not yet over, so they would then the extra funds allocate to extra months. Till now not any extra month is allocated, looks like the 42$ funds are just gone as also nowhere to be seen in the account.

BIG WARNING, stay away from ZOHO, their systems are buggy and they will scam you. Just try for yourself to find the cancel at end of subscription button.

I was so excited to use Zoho, but soon realized after services Shock

I was so excited to use Zoho after comparing products etc. Then made payments for two different subscriptions (Companies) of which one was allocated but not the other. We now started using the software BOOKS and no-one gets back to you from South Africa, Corporate etc. Very disappointed.

I've worked with many large…

I've worked with many large corporations. Not many of them can display heart. When someone asks me about Zoho as a consultant, I tell them "Zoho listens", and that is very rare. When was the last time a company answered its phone for you? When was the last time you had a deep and intellectual conversation with someone from a major corporation? I do this every time I speak to my friends inside Zoho.

Support fails to respond in promised timescales

Zoho is affordable and generally worked well, with good guidance on setting up features etc.

The problem I have had is that after outbound mail was blocked for reasons unknown, I have been chasing a support response for a couple of weeks to no avail. Every time I speak to chat they promise they have escalated my request and that I'll receive a response within 24 hours. Every time they don't respond and I have to chase.

I can't accept this timescale for business critical email so will need to move providers.
