Purchased many lattafa perfumes because of all the reviews on this site. Obviously all fake as I have wasted my hard earned wages on perfumes that smell lovely at first spray. Then nothing. None of them have any sillage nor lasting power. 5 minutes later you smell absolutely nothing. Not worth the price of post sending them all back. I’ll never trust fragrantica again complete joke of a site.

This is a joke, not a serious site.

It's funny how if you scroll through this page too fast, you get a message saying that you're probably stealing some information from them, when in reality they're stealing data and not deleting photos when accounts are deleted. Even with deleting the profile there will be a problem actually. The website itself isn't particularly useful – many people write reviews without owning the perfume and perhaps only smelling it in the store. And the information on the website, which the creators are so scared about you can copying, is the same information as on the purchase pages: fragrance notes, i.e. something they copied themselves but for some reason they treat it as private data that only they have access to. Plus articles written and images generated by AI. There's no point in creating a profile on this site, as it doesn't help with perfume selection or provide any professional information. It also doesn't provide proven and helpful reviews, as many people, for no reasons, play the role of experts on this site, not even owning half of the perfumes themselves, but still leaving reviews. Some verification would be helpful. Add to all this the fact that they allow AI on their site and that they force political topics – if you're going to start a perfume website, let it be about perfume. Something is going on here that's not serious, and their behavior is unprofessional. You can easily find other alternatives with the same information. Read other opinions and you will see that what I write is also seen by others.

The site is full of fake reviews and AI slop

The site is full of fake reviews and AI slop. They openly use low-quality AI images in their "articles", but many reviews also seem AI or bots posing as people. Their agenda seems to be hyping up anything they can profit from in various ways, that's all. Neither articles, nor reviews on Fragrantica seem overly trustworthy. It is an outdated, dying platform and owners seem focused on squeezing max profit before the ship finally sinks.

To the advertisers, potential buyers or investors: VERIFY their stats! Monthly users, engagements, any other metrics, really - demand solid proof of EVERYTHING. I can't explain how they show thousands of users being active at the same time, but articles are getting 5-10 comments, often less. I won't be surprised if after this awful site goes down, the only value will be in the domain name.

Finally, among the few actual people I noticed on the site, there are many weirdos. Some seem a bit sick in the head, and passionately review perfumes they don't own and didn't even sample . And some use fragrances as a coping mechanism for serious illness. Bottom line, if you're a normal person who wants an honest advise about what fragrance to choose, its better to use anything else - ask advisors in the store, or ask on Reddit.

Be careful creating an account or loading anything on Fragram...your pictures will be unlawfully kept by the website, even when you delete them. You need to do a written request directly to the Moderator to be able to cancel the account...but you will never know, if they will, nevertheless, keep your data...
Apart from that, I've found no real equity in articles and suggestion of fragrances...they tend to push some way more than others...so much so, that it makes you think.

The “Fragrantica” website has many ads impossible to navigate on.

The “Fragrantica” website has many members that don’t even try the fragrances and write a review about them. Even more, they give their opinion about the fragrance before it gets to the market. And if that’s not enough, now surfing through the website is impossible due to the ads they have. Every 10 seconds, your window comes up with the whole window add, I am done with that website.

Now taking 5 minutes just to load my profile.
How about make sure the update works before you force everyone to use it. The new page interface is a total disaster and is so slow and dysfunctional I may have to stop using the site.

This website has the shadiest ads.

This website has the shadiest ads I have ever seen in my many decades of surfing the web. Their ads will completely redirect you to different websites including ones that seem like malware telling you that you need to perform a critical update. Then when you complain about it on their forums the administrators delete your comments to hide the truth. Currently working on transferring my collection details to another app.

Politics ruins things again

Would be a decent site, if not for the political propagandising in the forums, comments and even the sub-header of the site.

Advice for owners: Keep your rubbish politics to yourselves. We're here for the perfume.

DO NOT JOIN

DO NOT JOIN. It's difficult to get your account deleted. It's just a website that's created by Russians with an agenda to push the idea of private labels into average customers who mainly wears designer. All the moderators are useless while they have their favourite flying monkeys that force private labels down your throats while making demeaning comments on designer fragrances. It's an strategic business plan by a bunch of Russians who only promote what they get paid for, rest they don't care about. If you don't agree to their taste for niche perfume which costs $700 they start looking down on you. It's mainly a very small elite community that runs the site and expects everyone to wear niche perfumery. If you have your own opinions and suggestions they try to prove you wrong. In their mind niche perfumery is the only way to go and no other perfumery exist. They even force niche on beginners. There are users who gang up on you based on the site owner's preferences. Let's just say they're hired to bully you based on your preference. I regularly see fake reviews being made and authentic reviews being deleted based on political agendas and paid promotions. It took me years to understand that the site is built by a bunch of private label owners that only want to force their views on people.

Beware of Fragrantica!

I'm having a difficult time deleting my Fragrantica account (or even getting assistance or confirmation from them) and I wish I'd never created it in the first place. They refused to post one of my reviews (it would post, then disappear shortly thereafter). I wasn't swearing or saying anything rude in it, just that I didn't like a certain fragrance. Basenotes, Boisdejasmin, and NSTperfume are all way better review sites and are run honestly with transparency. There's something seriously dysfunctional about the people who run Fragrantica. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's experienced issues with them. Beware...

A Perfume Site for Nutters.

I was a member on Fragrantica for well over ten years. Since those days it has changed beyond all recognition to become a Trump loving hot bed of conspiracy theories posted by fruit loops from their bedrooms while dressed in nothing but their heavily soiled underwear and MAGA baseball hats.

AVOID!!!!!!

Useless site.

I was shocked to realize that I couldn’t delete my profile from that awful site, which is filled with mostly fake perfume reviews. It took a great deal of time and effort to finally get my profile removed.
