Just wanted to check value
Just wanted to check value, got endless screens and nags, and after several minutes of this, instead of a value, it just displays a message saying it can't display the information right now, please check back later. Complete waste of time.
Do they even do values anymore?
Seriously, it took an act of congress and slew of popups and I still couldn’t get a value for my vehicle. KBB you value cars, all the CRAP you now require people to deal with makes you a joke and a pointless tool. Just give me a value for my car! I don’t want anything else. Seriously way to screw it up.
Scammed me
Scammed me. Got an offer for my car, then when it's time for them to get it they stop responding. I keep emailing back, finally someone else responds and they want to pay $1000 less. I accept, again silence for weeks and then suddenly now it's $1000 less, but they keep responding getting additional photos that they had weeks ago e.t.c. Now with the same photos as before they say $200 less due to condition and they will take it. So it took almost 3 months and $2200 less while they waited to scam me, all I got was a verbal apology and no compensation.
Much Better Than Similar Online Companies…
I had a Subaru with a dying transmission. I went to KBB to get a value and see about selling the car. They gave me an offer that was as much as 72% better than other online offers I received. Yes, I had to take the car to a dealer to handle the transaction, but that was easy. The dealer was fully aware of their program, handled the deal and I walked away with much more money than other companies would have given me for coming out to pick up my car. I'd use them again!
I need a value to show the dmv for a…
I need a value to show the dmv for a bonded title. It used to fast and easy to get that but now they run you around asking to many ?s wanting you to open an account so they can either sale your info or send you a bunch of adds you don’t want. Than after a half hour it says unavailable ! Waste of my time guess I will try Edmunds!

I am 100% sure insurance companies own this company you go And value or look at buying vehicles and they come up with $12thousand on low end but get in a accident and your vehicle Now worth $5 or $6 thousand between this company and insurance companies they ripping people off I tell them I don't buy a vehicle from the blue book I buy from a dealer! How about a FBI or government investigation into this company!!!;;
Market Data Manipulation
I don't even want to give them 1 start to be honest.
Custmers tend to buy used cars, neglect them or they had been neglected and leave bad reviews.
I left a reciew on a 07 tahoe ltz that kbb tried to get me a offer of $750 for that had no accidents. Clean title and been properly maintained hence the 260k miles. I have 2 other vehicles 08 silverado 198k miles and a 08 tahoe 230k miles a dodge ram 3500 v10 370k miles. I have not had to do nothing but change fluids maybe a sebsor for oil pressure on a few but they are all running good.
Kbb values those vehicles at scrap prices or wont value them at all like the 98 ram 3500 v10 wont show up.
They need to be shut down because after I left my review they removed my 5 star review of the 07 Tahoe. Why? Market manipulation. They are a fraud company looking to rip you off with one of their partners to give you a low offer for your car.
Dont use websites to sell cars at 200 to 400 bucks. Call your local scrap yard and some pick it up for you and take 0.50 per pound off for the tow fee unless within a certain range.
I don't do dirty sales if you can't be 100% honest with your customers you should not have customers.
Kelly Blue Book has gotten to be a…
Kelly Blue Book has gotten to be a joke, totally out of touch with reality, and even when you use there car buying platform, the #s are totally out of sink.
They should close that app and try another form of evaluation, maybe predicting the weather is where ther expertise is, because it is Not in car evaluations.
Don't touch this site they will send…
Don't touch this site they will send your phone number to all the dealerships in the area and you will get never ending spam from dealers offering to buy your car. I never agreed to have my info shared all over.
I was exploring trading in my vehicle…
I was exploring trading in my vehicle for a new one and went to KBB for an evaluation of the trade in price, I did this at the KBB site and through the dealership website, I ended up with 3 different valuations, varing by as much as $3,000 dollars! KBB is like all car valuation sites, NADA (National Auto Dealers Association) contributes heavily to them in an attempt to influence/set valuations in their favor resulting in dealerships giving low valuations for trade-in vehicles! Buyers Beware!
I didn’t order anything from them and…
I didn’t order anything from them and they sent me a package via UPS with nothing in it, clearly to just boost their shipping numbers.
It's horrible
Their fine print says: "the Offer amount may be decreased. Kelley Blue Book and its affiliates are not responsible for Offer adjustments or if a Participating Dealer won't accept your vehicle. Dealers pay a fee to participate in the Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer program." Fact: when I arrived at the dealer, without even seeing the car, the first thing he said was that his actual price would be substantially lower! And he was right! It was about 25% lower than the KBB promise! Honestly never gonna interact
Seems to focus on higher price points…
Seems to focus on higher price points to support dealerships as a strategy to drive up prices of used cars. Dealerships buy from Manheim Dealer Only Vehicle Auction Houses that in turn wants to sell their inventory for higher prices to collect more fees from buyers. Owned by Cox Automotive. They charge their accounts absorbent fees with employees that have very little experience in maintaining their cars. They also own Autotrader that has gone to crap. Facility is highly mismanaged where most accounts are unaware of how they're vehicles are not well looked after and the company panics and tries to put things in order when they know an inspection or audit is about to take place. SCAM COMPANY THAT MAKES PROFITS IN THE BILLIONS - KBB AND AUTOTRADER USE TO BE VERY REPUTABLE COMPANIES UNTIL COX AUTOMOTIVE TOOK THEM OVER - DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFO FOR THEM TO SELL AS WELL
KBB is not worth the hassle
50 different pages to try to navigate, constant trying to get your information to sell to third parties. This used to be the gold standard for buying and selling a vehicle and now it’s become another sellout joke. 30 minutes to try to get an idea on whether or not I should keep full insurance coverage or not. CEO should suck a shit covered can’t say D1ck And the fact that I have to sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple to send anything. Duck you d1ckhead. Can’t even use correct spelling because of your snowflake attitude.
Worst website of all time
Absolutely bottom of the barrel offer
Absolutely bottom of the barrel offer. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! The price is about 20% under what their own kbb values show. Waste of time and effort.
Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time. They just want your info so they can sell it and your email will get slammed. KBB used to be a honored name. Now it is not worth the time of day.
Not very good I’ve been trying to get…
Not very good I’ve been trying to get an estimate on the price on my truck for over a week and they will not even send me a estimate on this value so I think Kelly BB sucks
Great website for getting scammed by car dealerships
This was by far the worst positive experience I have had in selling a car. Instant offer put me on a bad track to a low sale price.
Best of all you get bothered by tons of dealerships offering you 50% lower than the quoted sales price listed on KDB. 😃
I thoroughly enjoyed driving across the state to a one of these dealerships just so they could look at my car for 5 minutes and and offer me practically nothing for it. 😁
It was super relaxing getting 2-3 calls per day by said dealership saying they changed their mind and that they have a great deal for me afterall. 😊
