I booked and then got a phone call saying that rate wasn't actually available even when it accepted my payment.it seemed a little suspicious.i have booked numerous times .it had not happened that way . So the flight cost was $98 more . I was assured that it was legitimate.

To offer some further context, as a travel search engine (or price comparison site), Skyscanner is a tool to help travellers plan their trips and find the best travel arrangements. However, we don't advertise prices ourselves, and instead we display them on behalf of the travel providers. Skyscanner does not influence prices at all, either, and we are only able to display the rates and availability that the travel providers pass through to us to be displayed. Once you've found what you're looking for, you're redirected to the travel provider's site, where you make your booking directly. Unfortunately, Skyscanner doesn't have access to your bookings made after leaving our site, as the actual booking is made directly with the airline or travel agent.
