I think I'm done with Chewy. I like how fast they are, but the shipping and packaging is terrible. They just randomly throw things in box with no concern for weight or protection. I have had fly spra... See more

I placed a order with chewy August the 30th and my order was supposed to be delivered today between 9:00 and 1:00 and the fedex driver still hasn't showed up to my house and chewy purposely delayed my order yesterday and they have cut off there online chatting on purpose so, my advice to you is don't put up with chewy false emails and there lieing to you about when your order is supposed to arrive.
I have never had an issue with Chewy
I have never had an issue with Chewy. Every order that I've ever received has always been exactly as described on the website. Their delivery is fast and their customer service is impeccable. I recently had an issue with a case of wet cat food. They replaced it without question. Don't judge a book by one experience. I've been using them for many many years and I know of many people who have been using them and have nothing but high regard for chewy.

I have a cat he's 15 years old and I also just had major abdominal surgery which makes it so I can't bend or lift anything. Usually I have to depend on other people to bring in something that's left by my door and that's what this review is about something that was not left by my door after I requested it.
I had called chewy.com and explain the situation and explained that it's mandatory that they have FedEx bring the cat food that I ordered up to my door because I cannot run downstairs to go get what I ordered I can only go out once a day and I had already been out that one time.
I was on the phone with them about maybe 10 minutes so that they could ride all this down they said that they would submit the report to FedEx I made sure that it would be delivered right to my door, I told the person I spoke with to have them ring my bell hi first floor and you need to either go downstairs or take an elevator to get to my apartment. They reassured me that they would make sure that FedEx did that especially after I explained to them that I just had major abdominal surgery and I wasn't able to go downstairs more than once a day.
When I received the order where was the order it was downstairs I had to go on the elevator, I took my grocery cart downstairs and I had to break the package up while I was down there put each can of cat food individually into my car so that when I brought it back up here I can use my grammar to put it away on my shelf.
I find this unacceptable I immediately canceled my account and told them that I don't like what they did and that they should have reinforced the situation made sure that FedEx delivered it where I asked them to. Other stores have been I've been putting orders by my door, and if it's something heavy I find a neighbor that will bring it inside for me I just wait until I can open it at a later time.
As of today September 2nd I'm 22 days post-op.
I just wanted people to know the bad customer service that chewy.com actually has.
Kudos to Chewy
I am a new customer to Chewy and when I called customer service I got a warm welcoming voice .I ordered something on impulse for my elderly dog and realized he won't use it.I didn't know how to cancel this item or if it could be cancelled. The customer service rep was so helpful and helped to resolve my issue.Other companies should follow Chewy's excellent customer service. They really seem to care about your needs and concerns.I will be a continuing customer with them.Thank you to my Vet who recommended using them.

I have recently started ordering from Chewy to buy an assortment of products for my cat. I have never had an issue when I have ordered from them. The packaged come in great pristine condition and in a timely manner. In fact, recently I ordered a large amount of items but I put the wrong address. When I called the customer service line a woman by the name of Tiffany was my rep. She delivered an excellent customer service experience. She was polite and personable, going out of her way to help me sort the issue out and resolved the issue efficiently. I was very satisfied with the solution and will continue to order form Chewy.

am absolutely disgusted and furious with Chewy's Autoship service. and every single order was a complete disaster.Order 1: Their system "accidentally" doubled my very first order and unauthorized charged my card $500.Order 2: I received wet dog food wrapped in plastic. After putting it in my pantry, it began to rot. I opened it to find two cans were already busted open and completely covered in maggots. This is a severe health hazard.Order 3: Despite already shipping to my house twice, they suspended my Autoship to "verify my address" via email. Because I missed the email, they canceled my order and blocked my account instead of calling me.The Customer Service: It took a 4-day nightmare to get this fixed. Multiple agents spent 30+ minutes on the phone offering fake "I'm so sorry" apologies and claiming it was resolved, only for nothing to actually change. It wasn't until today that someone finally fixed it.Chewy's system is broken, their quality control is nonexistent, and their customer service is a joke
Chewy ```waste of time```Place a rx for eye ointment on line and…
what can I say
Uncaring
⭐️⭐️
I have been a loyal Chewy customer for years and have religiously ordered my dog’s food and supplies through them. One of the things that always stood out to me was how much Chewy promoted the idea that they truly care about pets and their families. I’ve seen so many stories about them sending flowers, cards, paintings, and other thoughtful memorials when someone’s pet passes away.
When my own dog passed away, I received absolutely nothing—not even an acknowledgment.
I reached out to Chewy and expressed my disappointment, only to be told that these types of memorial gestures are sent to some customers.
Honestly, that answer made me even more disappointed. How do you decide which pets and families receive that compassion and which ones don’t?
It’s not about wanting free flowers or a painting. It’s about the thought behind it and feeling like a company genuinely recognizes how heartbreaking losing a pet can be. After years of being a loyal customer, this experience left me feeling like I was simply another customer and another sale.
I understand you can’t send something to everyone, but when your brand is built so heavily around caring for pets and their people, selective compassion feels very strange.
Sadly, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and made me question how genuine Chewy’s “we care” message really is. In my opinion, this was very poor customer service.
Such kindness
I recently cancelled all my autoships with Chewy, due to my dog passing away. Chewy sent me a condolence flower arrangement. Locally delivered. It was such a nice gesture and my husband and I really appreciate it. Thank you, Chewy for this kindness and all the great service over the years.
Was a fan, now a super fan
I have always been a Chewy fan, the auto ship cat food, medicine, and cat litter is very helpful. However, recently my account was hacked and I called into their customer support line for assistance. The agent not only fixed everything, he even went in to make sure nothing was ordered and let me know the tech team would be double checking everything to make sure secure. He heard my frustration and took the hacking personal. It was such a relief to go through the account, cancel false order, and make sure I had full control again. Also, the birthday/gotcha day cards are very appreciated!
Chewy is an A+ pet supply company
Chewy is an A+ pet supply company. Recently, I adopted a rescue dog and needed help with dog food selection for a dog with an unknown past. The Chewy representatives with whom I spoke were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I received my order in two days and there was even a welcome gift included in the box! This is a corporation with heart! ❤️ I have used them for years and will continue as a highly satisfied customer.
Lots of stuff you sell
When I want to buy a product, I don't always want to keep purchasing it over and over. Sometimes it's to try it out. However, if I don't sign up for autoship with you, I wind up paying DOUBLE for that product and I find that despicable. I stopped buying from Chewy several months ago because of this, and just checked out another product and sure enough, double. Nope. Even if I'm paying the higher price somewhere else, I'd rather buy it there than from a company that charges double if you don't comply with their thievery. Keep it.
Waiting on a refund
I returned an item and I'm still waiting on my refund. Two days after it was sent via fedex I received an email reminding me to return the item. I called and was told they had received the item and my refund would be issued in 3 days. Well I am still waiting. I keep getting the run around. I will not be purchasing from them again. It was a gift for someone's dog, I have no pets, I will go to an actual store.
Five stars all the way
Five stars all the way! Chewy's customer service has always been top-notch, with representatives who are both knowledgeable and genuinely kind.
But when my dog passed away, they showed just how exceptional and compassionate they really are. A beautiful, thoughtful gift arrived along with a truly meaningful condolence card. It was such a caring gesture during a hard time—a beautiful gift from a beautiful company.
Thank you, Chewy, for always being there for us.

I have used Chewy for years and rarely has there been an issue. They fix it immediately. The quality of their products keeps me coming back. My little Maddie cat passed away at 16 recently and I contacted Chewy online to cancel her auto shipments. Maddie loved all her cat trees, toys and snacks! I left a message yesterday that she passed and why her stuff was canceled. Today I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a condolence card from Chewy.
Chewy is full of liars and people who don’t care if your dog starves because of their lies.
I started an autoship order through the chewy app. Then I cancelled it because of how long it was going to take and I could get it faster through PetSmart, well they claim they do not take the money until the order ships which is a lie and false advertising. In an email they basically said they don’t owe me because they don’t take the money, a lie, and when I told her if it takes from Saturday until Tuesday to get my money my dogs won’t be able to eat until then. She said “oh I’m sorry” chewy don’t give two s***s about animals. For one they lie and say they don’t take the money when in fact they do WAY before it ships. Then they keep your money until Monday and release it if you order in a weekend m. When I told the lady over the phone my dogs won’t be able to eat, you’d have thought I just stubbed my toe and she was being comforting. No we are talking about 2 dogs who will starve for 4 days now! This company is a joke and I’m calling my news station today to see if this is a story they may be interested in. If you say you don’t take the money until the item ships BUT LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH, that should be illegal and I’m going to see what I can do about this! My dogs are going to starve for 4 days because of this piece of shit company! Maybe I can sue over this! I don’t know but I’m going to find out Monday. Over my dogs going without now for 4 days. If you can take the money out right now, you should be able to put the f’ing money back right now! I’ve never been so angry with a company that I wanted to shut them down, my dogs starving now since I, like many, are on a budget. Yeah I’m calling attorneys Monday morning 1st thing.
Zero stars if I could.
uZero stars if I could.
Chewy.com was genuinely one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had. In 2026, why do I need to call an 800 number just to initiate a return? After going through the hassle of calling, all they did was email me a FedEx return label.
I don’t even live near a FedEx location, so now returning an online order requires me to get in the car and hunt down a FedEx drop-off.
For a company whose entire business is ONLINE SHOPPING, the return process feels unbelievably outdated and inconvenient. Returns should be self-service, take 30 seconds, and offer reasonable drop-off options.
I will absolutely shop elsewhere going forward. Zero stars.
"System" errors are human errors
This review is for Chewy's corporate executives, not its customer service or other staff. The company's "system" (quoting a customer service rep) placed ordered items on hold until "the next autoship date" for only one item in the order that was supposed to be added to a new autoship order. All other items in the order (a cat tree, a litter mat, food mats) were one-time orders. Because Chewy's "system" failed to communicate with the vet prescribing the sole autoship item in the order, the entire order shipment was placed on indefinite hold. "System" errors are created by people, typically corporate executives trying to maximize profits at the expense of customers. Chewy used to be a good company. Not anymore. Goodbye Chewy account.
Good service, but watch out for capped discount offers and Autoship pressure
I’m giving Chewy 3 out of 5 stars because while the overall service is decent, their promotional offers are slightly confusing and frustrating. They strongly push you to sign up for Autoship by promising a 35% discount on your first order. However, what they don't make clear upfront is that they cap this initial discount at a maximum of $20. The aggressive marketing for Autoship combined with these hidden limits feels a bit misleading when you are expecting a true 35% savings on a larger order. The platform works fine for basic pet supplies, but @Chewy needs to make the fine print on their deals much clearer.

My dog is allergic to beef and chicken, when I filter for non chicken or beef I always get stuff with chicken in it,so why even have filters, very disappointed
