There has been some alarming and very negative reviews on: Odysseys Car Rentals in Athens, Greece ( www.odysseys.gr )

I have a review from a very recent experience, that differs quite a bit from the previous. We rented a car from Odysseys Car Rentals for 6 days, from October 6. to October 12. I have a review from a very recent experience, that differs quite a bit from the previous. We rented a car from Odysseys Car Rentals for 6 days, from October 6. to October 12. The reservation was done via the website, (that could do with a little brush up as some of the information are outdated) But the reservation process works fine.
Due to a delay of our plane (general strike in Athens) We postponed delivery of the car with a day, and had it delivered at our Hotel in stead of at the airport, this gave no problem at all and the response from the company was prompt and friendly, on both telephone and email correspondence.
We had reserved a "Volvo S40 or similar", and had a Renault Megane 1.4 with about 80.000 km on the meter, not exactly a Volvo!, but not bad either. Everything on the car worked as it should, AC worked fine, tires were almost new etc.

When I, prior to our trip last week, realized these bad reviews, I asked for a comment from Odysseys, their explanation was:

"These reviews are referring to the previous general manager.
The agency was sold and the new managing director is professional
While the company is really growing up"

Obviously I have only this one experience to base my judgment on, but this one didn't disappoint me and left me as a happy and satisfied costumer when I left Greece last week.
