I had the worst experience of my life renting a car from this company. I canceled a reservation within 5 minutes and they kept two-thirds of the money. I made a second reservation and when we showed up at Alamo car rental to pick up our car they had canceled our reservation and charged us 2/3 again. This company is just disreputable as they come! Do not use BSP or it's affiliate gotcar rentals.com. Total scam artists

Avoid BSP Auto at All Costs

I strongly advise against renting from BSP Auto. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare.

Our airline changed our flight, resulting in a 5-hour delay to our arrival time. What should have been a simple booking modification turned into an absolute ordeal. We spent an entire week making countless phone calls, only to be passed around with contradictory information:

First, we were told to "wait 2 days for the change to reflect on your reservation"
Then, we were instructed to "contact the rental company directly"
Next, we heard that "only the rental company's headquarters can approve changes"
Finally, we were given two options: cancel our booking for a €50 fee, or modify it for €1,300 (our original booking was €800)
We wasted hours dealing with their so-called customer support, only to be met with incompetence and unreasonable charges. In the end, we paid the €50 cancellation fee and rented from another company, where the process was smooth and hassle-free.

Bottom line: Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Never again will I rent from BSP Auto.

Got a rental in Romania with a complete damage car. Got no assistance, no support, no pay back... Just nice talk and bla bla.

Our car reservation was cancel by the leaser because our plane was late. Without any car we had to pay anyway 95€ for cancelation fee. I tried to contact BSP support by phone or through their site to complain but never got an answer. If you got problem with BSP car location, do not expect to have any support of BSP.

Avoid at all costs. I booked a 5-day rental through BSP Auto, but because I arrived at the Wheego Malaga counter two hours after the scheduled pickup time, the incredibly rude Wheego staff claimed the booking was automatically canceled and the car was gone.
This is a complete scam designed to leave you stranded and force you into buying a brand-new, much more expensive rate. I called the broker, BSP Auto, right from the counter, but they did not offer any help or support whatsoever, actively enabling this scam instead of protecting their customer.
There is absolutely no mention of a "2-hour auto-cancellation rule" anywhere in the official voucher or rental information BSP Auto provided. They took my money for a 5-day rental, refused to deliver the service, and offered zero assistance. I walked away and rented from a reputable company like Hertz instead. Stay far away from both Wheego and BSP Auto.

I booked a car. Then 1 week before, they sent me a mail saying I needed to pay in a certain web link...
I tried to pay several times. their site was always down…
Then, the customer service numbers, do not work….
emails on the site, took 4 days to get a reply, and just repeating the process, with a broken link.
I had no alternative but to cancel, as I cannot get any answer or service from this company.
A total disaster your customer service, and the lack of response for several days.

I paid like €80 extra to get a car from the terminal compared to the providers with shuttle buses.

Turns out, their booking system was false and the rental company had no office at the airport at all. Had to wait 30 minutes in the scorching heat with the baby. After I raised it with them, I received no compensation.

Will not use again.

Dit bedrijf werkt op een manier die ik als toerist ronduit misleidend en intimiderend heb ervaren. Al bij het ophalen had ik een slecht gevoel: niemand spreekt Engels, er wordt kortaf en onvriendelijk gecommuniceerd en direct begonnen over allerlei extra kosten zoals €60 voor het “wassen” van de auto, €80 voor inleveren buiten kantooruren en zelfs €40 korting als je contant betaalt. Dat zegt eigenlijk al genoeg.

De shuttle was zo slecht geregeld dat ik mijn vrouw met koffer op het vliegveld moest achterlaten omdat er geen plek was. Professioneel is anders.

Bij het inleveren werd een bijna onzichtbare kras op de achtervelg aangewezen. Deze was bij het ophalen niet te zien op mijn foto’s en ik heb geen schade gereden. Toch moest ik €150 betalen. De eigenaar was onvriendelijk, intimiderend en totaal niet bereid om iets te bespreken.

Wat het nog vreemder maakt: het papierwerk (in het Italiaans) werd via WhatsApp gestuurd, maar de berichten werden kort daarna door hem verwijderd en vervangen door andere. Waarom? Geen idee. Maar het voelt absoluut niet betrouwbaar.

Na betaling werd ik door de eigenaar zelf naar het vliegveld gebracht — alleen in de auto — omdat ik per se om 08:00 moest inleveren zodat hij er zelf bij kon zijn. Het hele proces voelde alsof er bewust gezocht werd naar manieren om extra geld te verdienen via onduidelijke toeslagen en twijfelachtige schadeclaims.

Mijn advies: vermijd dit bedrijf volledig. Er zijn genoeg betrouwbare verhuurders in de regio. Deze hoort daar niet bij.

This company operates in a way that I, as a tourist, found misleading and intimidating. From the moment of pickup I had a bad feeling: nobody speaks English, communication is rude and unfriendly, and they immediately start talking about extra charges such as €60 for “washing” the car, €80 for returning outside office hours, and even a €40 discount if you pay in cash. That alone says enough.

The shuttle service was so poorly organised that I had to leave my wife with her suitcase at the airport because there was no space for both of us. Very unprofessional.

When returning the car, a nearly invisible scratch on the rear rim was pointed out. This scratch was not visible in my pickup photos and I did not cause any damage. Still, I was forced to pay €150. The owner was unfriendly, intimidating and unwilling to discuss anything.

What makes it even more suspicious: the paperwork (in Italian) was sent to me via WhatsApp, but the messages were deleted shortly afterwards and replaced with new ones. Why? No idea. But it does not feel trustworthy at all.

After paying, the owner himself drove me to the airport — alone in the car — because I was required to return the vehicle at 08:00 so he could be present. The whole process felt like they were actively looking for ways to make extra money through unclear fees and questionable damage claims.

My advice: avoid this company completely. There are plenty of reliable rental companies in the region. This is not one of them.

Your Terms & Conditions specify that if one cancels its car rental booking over 48 hours before pick-up time then you will refund in full. That was not the case, you deducted £50 which was complete unfair and not in line with your T&C's

Perfect, it was super easy

I recently rented a vehicle in Thessaloniki via BSP-Auto, which was subsequently managed by CarQ. Following an incident involving a questionable scratch, CarQ imposed a charge of €350. This contradicts my rental agreement with BSP-Auto, which guaranteed comprehensive coverage and theft protection with no deductible (reimbursed), including specific add-ons for glass, tires, undercarriage, and roof damage.

Despite these terms, I received a partial refund of only €265.98. The company justified the withheld amount as 'processing fees' and 'loss of use' charges, claiming these were excluded from coverage. It is inexplicable how such deductions are consistent with a 'zero excess' policy. Given this discrepancy and the lack of transparency, I strongly recommend that potential customers exercise extreme caution when booking through BSP-Auto.

I booked a car and (by accident) found a cancellation e-mail in the spam folder one day before the rental would have started. It looked like spam, but I then realised it was from BSP Auto. I called the hotline where they told me that the booking had been cancelled and that there was no way to undo it. I asked why and after some investigation, they told me that the payment had been denied. An e-mail was allegedly sent to me about this issue. However, I never received an e-mail. Long story short: It was not possible to undo the cancellation, and of course there was no way to get a price anywhere near the price I had obtained originally. Very bad service, very rude. Never again.

Everything went smoothly. I am happy to rent a car with them
