Update – Still No Resolution After Several Months I am posting this update because, despite Trip.com's reply to my previous review, nothing has changed. Following their response, my niece replied by email, answering all of their points and asking several legitimate questions. Unfortunately, she has never received any reply. Trip.com's position was essentially the following: "The airline did not approve the medical refund. Therefore, we consider the request rejected. If you wish to pursue the matter, please contact Turkish Airlines directly." My niece did not accept this response, for several reasons. Trip.com itself confirmed that: the Power of Attorney authorizing them to represent us had been provided; copies of the requested passports had also been submitted to Turkish Airlines. If all the requested documents were received, why should the customer now start the process all over again directly with the airline? Our contract was concluded with Trip.com, not with Turkish Airlines. We entrusted Trip.com with handling our case and acting on our behalf. In her reply, my niece again requested: a copy of Turkish Airlines' written decision; the reasons for refusing the medical refund; a detailed explanation of how the refund of EUR 156.04 was calculated; an explanation as to why Trip.com's system estimated a refund of EUR 1,443.86 on May 8, 2026, before later offering only EUR 156.04. None of these questions has been answered. This case concerns the emergency hospitalization of a 5-month-old baby, supported by official medical documentation stating that travel was medically contraindicated. We are not asking for special treatment. We are simply asking for transparency, clear answers, and fair handling of a genuine medical emergency. Unfortunately, after several months of correspondence, Trip.com still has not answered the essential questions and has left us without a satisfactory resolution.
