Very disappointing experience with MIDA / BICOM Based on our experience, I cannot recommend these machines. We paid over €30,000 for our MIDA machine, yet we have experienced recurring problems. Meals regularly get stuck, several parts have already been replaced, and every intervention becomes expensive when you add the cost of replacement parts and technicians. Despite all this, the machine has never operated reliably for any meaningful length of time. But what frustrates me the most is their Cloud ecosystem. BICOM wants to keep the machine heavily dependent on its own services, with useful features tied to their paid Cloud solution. I can understand this model during the warranty period, or for customers who actually want these services. But after paying more than €30,000 for a machine, the owner should have much more freedom. Once the warranty has expired, customers should be able to choose: continue paying BICOM for their services, or manage the machine using their own infrastructure, software or an independent service provider. I want an open and documented system where I can fully control equipment that I paid more than €30,000 for, not a machine where useful functionality remains dependent on proprietary paid services. Between the recurring failures, meals getting stuck, expensive replacement parts, technician costs and the dependency on their ecosystem, our experience has been extremely disappointing. At this price, I expected two basic things: reliability and the freedom to manage equipment that we own. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend MIDA / BICOM.
