This company is a SCAM!!

This company is a SCAM!!
Avoid it!
they look like a normal shop, but they use several "dark patterns" to secure your cash before they even have the product:
• The "Phantom Stock" Trick: They list thousands of items as "In Stock" (usually with a 1-2 week delivery estimate) that they do not actually possess. They are essentially a high-delay drop-shipper. By the time you realize the item isn't coming, they've had your money for weeks.
• The "Rolling Deadline" Loophole: When a delivery date passes, they automatically send a template email pushing it back by another month. They do this repeatedly to keep you in their system past the window where many banks allow easy chargebacks.
• The Predatory 25% Cancellation Fee: This is their most "scam-like" tactic. They claim in their terms that if you cancel a pre-order, they keep 25%. However, under EU law, this is often considered an "unfair contract term" if they haven't shipped the item or if they've missed the promised delivery date.
• The Geographical "Mask": By using dozens of local domains (.nl, .it, .co.uk, .be), they trick customers into thinking they are buying from a local shop with local return laws, when everything is actually funneled through their French entity.

defective product and unanswere

Gentlemen, everything was fine until my grandchidren opened the gift and saw that some pieces were defective. Then their smiles vanished, and mine too. I then asked for a solution, and I received no response.

Bad communication, no customer service, paid for items not in stock.

I ordered items that were supposed to be gifts for Christmas. I ordered these items well before Christmas and received them after. There were no gifts for the person. I was disappointed, embarrassed, and angry. When I inquired about these items I was met with vague e-mail responses. I was worried that you were a scammer and that I was robbed. In addition, I was told that you had two items and that you were waiting on the other item from somewhere else. Basically, you took my money and did not have items in stock…not cool!

I would recommend having better customer service. Better communication. I also recommend being honest with people. Do not take peoples money if you do not have the items in stock.

Your application (600784): ALL

What wenty wrong this time? -> Has anything gone right?
How can this company improve? -> Committing to delivery dates; responding to customer complaints by providing solutions, calling them or answering the phone when they call you. You have so much room for improvement that there isn't enough space here to list it all.
Remember to be honest, helpful, and constructive -> Remember that when someone buys from your website and you provide a minimum and maximum delivery date, do not exceed the maximum date so that in the future you can have satisfied customers. If you do, you are NOT being honest, sincere, helpful or constructive.

It was a genuine product

It was a genuine product, and arrived in good condition.
However, the item did arrive over a week later as promised, and the customer service only replied once I emailed them in french by translating through chatgpt.
All in all, order well in advance, and make sure to read through the website sales policy to understand the website markings.
They work with partly dropshipping from what it seems, so unless the website says: in stock, delivery the same day, they don't actually have stock, their providers do, which means delays might happen and they won't be able to do much about that.

Awful delivery and customer service

First, before the order was shipped, a communication to their customer service was sent to cancel the order. It was ignored and the product was shipped 7 hours AFTER they received the cancelation request.
Order was a PE kit (for those who don't know, its a delicate leaf of brass components used in a model) and a couple of Tamiya cement glues. The kit didn't fit the box at all so they decided to force it down into it, bending and damaging the leaf and the components. As no protection was included the kit also arrived battered and useless after days of moving and being hit by the glue flasks.
Only way to get a refund is I take care of sending everything back to them on my own, which is more expensive than the product itself, because they don't take any responsability for their own wrongdoing.
Avoid like plague.

DO NOT BUY HERE

I bought a board game that arrived completely damaged because they shipped it in a box three times bigger without any protection at all. I’ve been trying to get a solution for over a month and a half, and all I’ve got are endless emails and phone calls with no real help. In the end, they only offered me a store credit… when after this experience I never want to buy from them again.
Customer service is awful: I was attended by someone who barely spoke Spanish and just kept saying “mmm yes, I understand sir, I’m very sorry” without offering any actual solution.
This has never happened to me with any other store.
Do NOT buy anything from this store. Truly disappointing.

Friendly and helpful

I don’t know why this store has so bad reviews. Especially my case was a tough one since the first parcel didn’t arrive because they put the wrong address on the parcel. So I called them and they resend the parcel but a neighbor of us took it without saying anything to us and gave it to their kids. So I called 1001 again and told them that it didn’t arrive again… so they started the investigation and could provide me the information who took it. Of course the kids of my neighbor opened it and lost parts. Since 1001 asked if I finally got it I had to say that some parts were missing and they contacted the manufacturer and were able to send me those parts. So after a long stressful time I got everything. They really did a great job, always friendly and helpful.

Very Poor Customer Service

I have ordered items from 1001 Hobbies 4 times now. So have a bit of experience with them. I have found their shipping service to be erratic. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. If you have problems or queries on your purchase their customer service is awful. Their 'contact' email address never responds to your queries. I've been waiting 2 months for my last order and have written numerous emails and even request a cancellation with refund but, I have received no response at all. They have my money and there seems no way of getting it back. A criminal act !!
