Broadband speeds inadequate, lack of communication
Not getting minimum broadband speeds. Attempted to call customer service number of times but keep getting disconnected. Only way to contact is via chat, which isn’t helpful. I switched to 1p and for two months I have not had the Internet. Due to the fact that I don't speak English, I can't call the service every day. But I called with the help of my friend many times, but to no avail. The worst part is that I had to pay the previous provider £43 + £23 for 1p. There has been NO INTERNET for two months now. ONLY MONEY IS WITHDRAWN.

Good but needs to improve
The changeover was pretty smooth and straightforward but customer service needs to improve when you need to use customer service it is not unusual to have to keep ringing them back as you get a robotic voice saying no one is answering the phone call back later I spent all day recently doing just that. A proper informed service telling you what number in the queue you are would be much better hope I don't have to use customer services very often other than that no complaints

Good communication from ordering, setup was hassle-free. Great to speak to a real person on the phone! Getting good service at much less cost than VM. I could set the router to wifi channels away from the neighbours, so that put an end to the poor reception in the furthest room!
1pb works well for me.
The switch-over from my previous provider was accomplished with some assistance from the very helpful young lady from 1p Broadband who helped me do so.
Since then, my average download speed is almost double to that of my previous provider, as well as being just over half the monthly charge I had been paying. And apart from some rather slow connections from time to time, everything is working well.

Absolutely no issues whatsoever with 1p Broadband. I did not even notice the switchover and received the same service as you would expect with the more prominent providers. Switch with confidence. We have also switched to 1p Mobile without any issues.
Great service
There was a slight problem on the day of transfer from TalkTalk but a knowledgeable lady from1p was able to get things sorted once I raised the matter. So far I have enjoyed almost double the speed that I had been getting at two thirds the cost and no drop outs so far. It’s early days but I think I made a good move.
Switched to 1p from TalkTalk
Switched to 1p from TalkTalk as fed up with the constant price increases within contract. All went well with 1p initially in so far as responding to emails, agreeing a switch over date convenient to me and all the preliminary work pre the switching date. They kept me updated and the router was received in good time.
The switch over date was today and I received an email about 3-4am advising that they were now my provider and that I would receive a further email later in the day to confirm the engineer had completed the technical stuff and my broadband was up and running. At that point it said my router would configure itself automatically.
That's when things went wrong. 6.30pm and still without internet and no email from 1p. I emailed them seeking an update. No response so 30mins later I called them. Spoke to a lady who took my details and said she would pass them downstairs for someone to look into it and call me back urgently. 45mins later still no email and no call back. I rang again sat on hold for 5mins with no one answering so gave up. Sent them a further email lodging a complaint and requesting I be contacted within the hour.
Nothing. It's now 10.26pm and still no email from the engineer, no email in response to my complaint and no call back.
Luckily my son is somewhat tech savvy and having looked at it he found my broadband had been connected by the engineer and was working once he had manually enter all the details and configured it for me. Why no one at 1p had bothered to contact me to confirm the engineer had completed his work is beyond me as is why they didn't get back to me after my initial call to advise me of this.
Not a good start to our relationship or a great first impression. At the moment the signal seems ok but it's no where near the stated minimum speed of 68 Mbps. I understand it can take up to 10 days for a signal to settle and get fully up to speed. Let's see if in 10 days I am getting the speed stated in the contract. If not then 1p will be in breach of contract and as far as I am concerned I will be entitled to switch my provider without penalty but let's see how it goes. I will update this review as things goes.
04/04/23 - Received email from 1p but no mention of my emails or calls. They just wanted to let me know they were processing my first bill...
05/04/23 - Finally a response to my enquiry. An email saying that they see my services are up and running (no thanks to them). No mention of an apology for not notifying me that the engineer had completed his work, and no apology for not returning my call. Nothing.
I won't be recommending 1p to anyone based upon my experience to date. I will update further after the 10 days to let you know what the download/upload speeds are and if they are as contracted.
Switched from BT and saved £££
Switched from BT - speed has now increased from 37M down / 10M up to 63M down / 19 M up, yet price has gone down from £39 to £23 monthly. Call prices are much lower as well.
Needless to say, I'm impressed, though not surprised as I have had their 1pMobile phone service for some time.
This is a decent company, with good customer service ( they actually answer the phone), and I have no hesitation in recommending them

From The Start! Best signal I've ever had from a broadband supplier. Router is the best and service is great- No problems with signal strength in all parts of home.

Slow alot slower than advertised (a quarter of the speed), intermittant coneection
Not a reliable connection (devices keep disconnecting), very slow, this is meant to be fast broadband 64Mbs, in reality it is only 15Mbs, not worth the money. Higher download speed on older slow broadband.
Enormous cancellation fee
Cancellation fee is 80% of the outstanding amount and no options less than 18 months, though my rental agreement is just 6 month. This effectively makes me pay 2,5 time more for the period. Extremely greedy and unfriendly. Beware this "cheap" internet provider that might cost you more than any other
