I`ve heard horror stories about…

I`ve heard horror stories about international moves but their team was spot on. They used those massive liftvans for my furniture and it felt like my house was in a vault. Communication was 10/10 from start to finish

I dont know about other people but I…

I dont know about other people but I move around a lot and Im tired of putting up with problems
I always speak up when something isn t tight but this is the first company where I didnt have to say a word

I never thought it would be possible to…

I never thought it would be possible to pack up so quickly. My husband and I were running late for a work conference in another state, so we decided on the spot to move but they helped us get everything done in just one day! There was a problem with only one box - tha packing wasn`t quite up to par but thankfully it wasn`t a big deal

Professional movers handling international move with care

From Chicago to Milan! The movers were not only professional but also genuinely kind. They took extra care with items that had sentimental value, like our family heirlooms. It felt like they understood the emotional side of moving.

Moving internationally is supposed to be one of the most stressful things you can do! right up there with planning a wedding or assembling IKEA furniture without instructions. But thanks to 1relo, our move felt more like a well-orchestrated adventure than a logistical nightmare!

From the moment we spoke with our sales rep we felt like we were in good hands. He answered every question (and we had a LOT), helped us understand the process, and never once made us feel like we were bothering him when we asked if our coffee machine would survive the voyage (it did!)

Our coordinators in the Operations team are absolute stars! Organized, responsive, and somehow always one step ahead. It’s like they had a sixth sense for when we’d start to panic and would email us just in time with reassuring updates.

Every box arrived safely, nothing broken, and our sanity still intact. If you’re moving abroad and want to avoid turning into a ball of stress, this is the team you want. Highly recommend! ☺️ and if I ever decide to move across the world again (hopefully not anytime soon), I know exactly who to call!

Be afraid....be very afraid.

This is what their website says. "The term “going the extra mile” is a very old expression. It describes individuals who provide great customer service whether it's over the phone, in person or via email. It comes down to basically doing more than is expected, trying a little harder and going above the norm.

Unfortunately, it was our shipment that went the extra mile.....they sent it to Latvia instead of Ireland. At this point, the fiasco truly began. For roughly six weeks, they said that our shipment would arrive "next week". Every week we would check in to see if it would arrive as promised and for several weeks in a row they said "next week". We finally got our shipment nearly two months late.

When we pointed out that this was unacceptable, their response was....and I quote. " I am unsure what you mean by unacceptable customer service. We have provided the updates to you as provided from the steamship line...we are trusting the information provided by the steamship line". So basically, if they shipping line sends your belongings to the wrong country, 1 Relo is powerless to do anything other than email them and trust them to eventually get your belongings to you.

Their website also states, "Transparency is the cornerstone of our approach. We believe that open communication is essential for building trust. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, we keep you informed about the progress of your relocation. No hidden fees, no surprises – just clear and honest communication."
So much for truth in advertising. In addition to being mislead several times about our shipment being on board a vessel bound for Dublin, we also got hit with an additional 800 Euro fee for port fees that were not disclosed to us ahead of time. As instructed, we called the port staff prior to booking their services and were not informed of this additional charge.

In short, they promise excellent customer service and no surprises....unfortunately we got the surprise of having our shipment misdirected to another country and then an additional six weeks of false promises

To add insult to injury we also got hit by a surprise 800 Euro fee once our stuff did arrive. The only good service offered was the crew that packed up our belongings and then unpacked them in Ireland. Otherwise, it was a truly horrible experience and wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

I am sorry that you had such a poor experience with our company and team. As you stated, you did contract us to move your goods to Ireland and they ended up going everywhere but there it seems.

We did relay information as provided to us by the carrier (Troy Lines) and yes, once it is in the hands of the steamship line, our control is greatly diminished. We had numerous meetings with them and pushed to have the items returned right away but unfortunately, when it got to Latvia, it had to undergo a customs process that added to the delay. Of course, these extra fees were absorbed, this was in no way going to be passed on, but the process had to be completed and we must adhere to the laws there. Once released, we pressed the line to bring it to Ireland, which we did and the delivered to you. It took significantly longer than advised and we are sorry.

As for the surprise charge, we did inform you from the very beginning, and it is in every document we sent to you highlighted and in red, that destination terminal charges were excluded. We also put you in direct contact with our local partner in Ireland in early March and all possible charges, as well as requirements, were discussed at that time.

As we also advised, we have been in communication with the vessel operator looking for a refund which was passed on to you as well as a reduction on our costs. I understand that this does not make up for the frustration.

Again, we do apologize for the delays you experienced and completely understand your poor review of 1RELO. We always strive to provide our clients with the best possible service and in your case, we did not succeed. We can blame the SS Line for sending it to the wrong destination but in the end, we were the ones responsible for the choosing of the line and the responsibility lies with us.
