Excelent agency for registering UK Ltd as non-UK resident

There were two separate verification requirements involved in your application which, with hindsight, we could have explained more clearly.
The first was the Companies House identity-verification requirement. You completed this independently and subsequently provided us with your Companies House Personal Verification Code.
Separately, as a company formation agent supervised for anti-money-laundering purposes, we are required to carry out and be satisfied with our own customer due-diligence and identity checks. A Companies House Personal Verification Code does not replace these checks, as we remain responsible for satisfying ourselves as to the identity of our client and complying with our own AML and KYC obligations.
In this case, our initial verification checks had not been successfully completed and further identification was therefore required. As this involved an overseas applicant, we used our specialist third-party identity-verification provider. Some of the identification initially supplied could not be accepted by the verification system and, during the process, a verification link also expired and had to be reissued.
We appreciate that, from your perspective, this may have appeared as though you were being asked to prove your identity more than once. However, we could not simply rely upon the Companies House Personal Verification Code while our own required AML checks remained incomplete.
Once those outstanding checks had been satisfactorily completed, we were able to proceed with the company application.
We apologise that we did not explain the distinction between these two separate requirements more clearly at the time. Your experience has highlighted an area where we can improve our communications, particularly for overseas applicants, and we are reviewing our procedures accordingly.

The restoration turned out to be a particularly complicated and lengthy process due to issues and delays with Companies House, but Chandan was consistently patient, cooperative, and helpful throughout. He took the time to address the issues that arose, provide clear guidance, and work with us to resolve the various requirements and complications along the way.
His professionalism and willingness to assist made a significant difference during what could otherwise have been a very frustrating process. The LLP was ultimately restored successfully, and I am very grateful for Chandan's support and cooperation throughout.
I would definitely recommend his assistance to anyone dealing with a company restoration process. Specially if it's a troublesome one.

Practical and helpful service from Ronnie
Had to sort out a slightly unusual issue as we are closing one of our companies and didn’t want the registered office service to renew for another year.
Spoke to Ronnie first who was very helpful and actually listened to what I was trying to do rather than just giving a standard answer. He checked what was possible and helped get the renewal stopped. He then made sure that the admin team then followed it up in writing and confirmed the arrangements around the address while we apply for dissolution.
Was expecting this to be more complicated to sort out, but they made it pretty straightforward. Appreciate Ronnie especially for being practical and helpful on the phone.

I also had an absolutely terrible experience with 1stChoice Company Formations. Their service quality is has become shockingly poor..
My services were allowed to expire even though they should have renewed automatically. I never requested cancellation. They et everything lapse without warning. I havevrepeatedly emailed them. They mainly do not reply
.
I reached out asking them to renew my services manually, but they completely failed to take action.
Can mo longer recommend them.
I sent them new identity dics to their admin by email on 4th August 2026 at 10.39 am. They do not reply to my emails. I advised them if a change of my email address.

Your registered office service renewed successfully every year from 2021 until 2025. It was the 2026 renewal that was not completed.
RENEWAL REMINDERS
In accordance with our payment provider's Continuous Payment Authority, the first renewal notice was issued one month before the renewal date, on 9 April 2026. Further reminder emails were then issued on 28 April 2026, 8 May 2026 and 17 May 2026, with the final reminder providing an extension before the service was withdrawn.
OUR REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS
Those reminders explained that, if the service was not renewed, we would have to notify Companies House that our registered office address could no longer be used, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions. When the service was still not renewed, Companies House was notified that our address should no longer be used as the company's registered office.
YOUR ACCOUNT EMAIL ADDRESS
To ensure renewal reminders are received, it is each customer's responsibility to keep the email address held on their account accurate and accessible. The email address registered on your account was S********@gmail.com**.
OUR RESPONSE TO YOUR ENQUIRY
You first contacted us regarding this matter on 3 August 2026. We replied within 24 hours, explaining the security checks required before we could change the email address on your account.
IDENTITY VERIFICATION
After you provided identification, we requested an acceptable proof of address in order to comply with the Money Laundering Regulations before we could complete the email address change and issue renewal instructions. We sent further follow-up emails on 4 August 2026 and 6 August 2026 when this information had not been received.
THE FACTS
We were therefore disappointed to read the statement that we "mainly do not reply", as our records show that we responded within 24 hours and continued corresponding with you while attempting to resolve the matter.
THE CURRENT POSITION
Because the 2026 renewal was not completed, Companies House has now recorded a default registered office address for your company, exactly as our renewal reminders explained would happen. As this change has now been made to the public register, if you wish to use a different registered office address you should file the appropriate change with Companies House as soon as possible.
We are sorry that this matter could not be resolved and wish you every success in the future.
