This company is a scam. I demonstrably transferred almost $5,000 to them in April for four gorilla permits and four chimpanzee permits (see attached photos). Now they claim to have no business with me, and the employee in question is apparently no longer there. Scammers! I will travel to Uganda and file a fraud complaint against this company. I tried contacting them but was simply brushed off.

Broken unsafe and expensive

Hello, I can only confirm the experience Leon had this year with this company. We rented this car, the foto you see above. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SEEN A CAR IN A SUCH POOR CONDITION. Over the time of two and half weeks the car got stucked three times. We had contact with the company frequently. We got no help from the company and paid at about 1,6 Million Schillings ( at about 430 USD ). Broken shaft, two nails in the tyres, loose sparking plugs, no brake and cooling liquid, not enough oil in the gears. I could write a long story. At the end we were said, that we did not fullfiled the contract and we got no money back. Uganda is a beautiful country with extraordinary nice people, but DON'T HIRE by 4x4carhire kampala. You can be sure, you get problems and nobody will care about it.

4x4 Car hire Kampala was a horrible experience ! We were looking for rental car for 7-22 april. Car was including rooftootent and camping gear. Affordable priced in comparison with other rental companies. Upon delivery at the guest house Entebbe there was no instruction and bolts were missing on 3 tires (5 instead of 6)!! Surface was flat on 2 tires no profile on 2 tires. During Game drive 1 flat tire hard to replace due to insufficient jack. And upon inspection it was a badly repaired tire that went flat. We ended up to replace locally with good tire. Game drive 2 the front wheel axle bearing damaged due to wear and tear. Had to be fixed by local mechanic as they would not be able to assist. Cost for repair where not compensated. Where accused of unknow use of the 4x4 car. Later in the week car did not start anymore due to error in electrical circuit. Had to replace dark black spark plugs wasted a day in a lodge to have local mechanics to fix this problem…. Camping gear provided was incomplete…. Holiday was a good experience about how to survive but also a test to keep yr temper with the non service provided by the crew. Truly a shame for the tourist industry. Several lodge owners had heard similar stories about 4x4 car hire kampala. Anyway go visit Uganda if you are not scared and like nature. Be aware of this 4x4 rental company. You have good alternatives we noticed during our travel..

I loved the services offered by 4x4 Car Rental Uganda. Me and my friends really had a good time because of 4x4 Car Rental Uganda. I remember during the December break after the semester. We needed to have a good time together in Jinja , we hired one of the cars from the company, the driver attached to us was also caring. Customer care was beautiful. Thank you so much
