New mechanism and lock in UPVC patio door
Arrived after about 3/4 of an hour of phoning. Explained what problem was and how much it was going to cost to do the job before proceeding. Took about an hour to fit new mechanism and lock in UPVC patio door. Overall very pleased but did think it was a little but expensive.

Expensive
Expensive. He arrived when he said he would and completed the job quickly. He charged over £50 to come out. Over £80 labour and the lock mechanism for the door was £199. He stood over me when I wrote the review. Afterwards I felt I had been ripped off. His website suggests he was local but he actually came from Bristol.

We would like to clarify a few important points. All pricing was explained clearly before any work began and you were provided with a full quote upfront. You accepted the quote without hesitation and only once we received your approval did we proceed with the job. There was absolutely no obligation to continue if you were not comfortable with the price.
Regarding the review itself, our technician simply asked whether you would be happy to leave feedback and waited until you have finished writing it. At no point there was any intention to influence or pressure your comments.
In relation to location, our registered office is indeed based in Bristol. However, not all of our technicians live there. We operate with engineers positioned in various areas to ensure faster response times for customers and to reduce travel distances where possible. Advertising in the area our technicians serve is standard industry practice and allows us to provide quicker service while also minimising environmental impact.
We always aim to deliver prompt, professional service with full transparency on pricing. We regret that you feel dissatisfied. We stand by the clarity of our quotation process and the quality of the work completed.

I was desperate for a locksmith as…
I was desperate for a locksmith as couldn't open my patio doors i looked for a locksmith close to me I found 7 Locksmith read their conditions so decided to give a call .They answered straight away I gave them my situation and he said he be out in 30mins which he was.I showed him the problem he then told me the price for opening the door which I agreed.The mechanism was broke so had to be replaced I was given a price and agreed the replacement was fitted to a high standard and efficiently. The locksmith was in and out within 1 hour.And from time to ringing to repair was completed in 90mins.The invoice and receipt was sent by email. I would definitely recommend this locksmith wouldn't hesitate to call again if needed.
