Felt cheated by 7 ways
One day van rental and felt cheated. The price quoted on the website £69.99. Convenient pickup from Handforth. Was contacted before collecting to be told van had to be collected from Edgely Stockport. There was a fee of £4.90 location charge? No explanation given. On morning of collecting was informed return window was limited to between 4pm and 5pm only, inconvenient but could work with it on this occasion. On return was charged an additional £18 (£0.50 per mile) as had done over 100 miles ?? I checked the website and the confirmation email for the original booking and there was no mention of limited mileage. On collection of the vehicle it was mentioned but it was too late to change plans. This was very much a stealth charge and have never had this with any previous experience. The van was functional with 150,000 miles the panels in the van were very damaged and caused damage to a mattress when being loaded. All in all a very expensive and disappointing experience.
