Have ordered from 80 stone on a few occasions, their roasts are spot on and do include roast dates unlike a previous comment. Their service is also incredible, fast response, helpful and none of the pretentious behaviour you can find with other coffee suppliers!
Recently invested in a bean to cup machine so we were on the search for some good coffee. We found 80stone being sold in a lovely little cafe in Swansea and were impressed.
Bought the 4 x tasting pack. Arrived quickly, well packaged and with the 'roasted date' labels.
I emailed to ask some advice on what beans would suit our taste. I sent the email during there Christmas break (due to re open on 2nd Jan) however got a reply within a couple of hours with a lot of help and information.
We will be re-ordering once we decide which roast we favour.
They couldn't provide any information about their roasting dates but said all packets have a roast date.
So i placed an order which arrived in good time yet without any indicated roast date. I contacted them again and suddenly they could provide information about roast dates insisting the beans had just been roasted 2 days ago and apologising for forgetting to stick the roast date sticker on the packet.
I felt fobbed off by a bunch of unproffessionals off-loading dodgy stock which may or may not have been the case.
To scew up on such an key element of being a small time roaster is quite frankly pathetic and unworkable.
I wouldn't recommend this bunch of no-hopers unless you insist on them ensuring the level of labelling they sell their service on providing.
