DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! It's a complete scam. Their doctors have no idea what they are doing and won't be able to help you. They will happily take your money though. Save time and go to a REAL doctor

Total waste of time and money

Total waste of time and money! I have this service through my health insurance. Plus I live on an Island with no urgent care. I have used this service twice and been told they cannot help me and to go to urgent care or my PCP. You answer all the questions through the AI bot & then the doctor still asks you the same questions & then ignores your symptoms. I will not be using this service ever again. Deleting app off my phone.

All BS

It's all bs! You write paragraphs of what's wrong and in the end they just tell you that you have to go into the urgent care. I had covid and cant even get antibiotics or mucus relief. No point in this app at all. Can't even give me a doc note to stay home so I'm gonna spread covid around. Im not spending hundreds to go to hospital

Not a fan..

For the copay that I paid for this visit, I could go to several other online Telehealth providers, with less hassle. My biggest complaint is the dishonest disclosure, that states you won’t be charged, until after the visit is finished. I was charged immediately, before the doctor even joined the visit..

The app also states that they are conservative when it comes to prescribing antibiotics. More times than not, that is what most people are needing. Also, I wasn’t a fan of the numerous Covid vaccine questions. Time to move on..

A scam

My son has ear tubes because of chronic ear infections. His ear began draining and so we sought care to avoid an $80 copay since the app is free for us. Well it was a huge waste of time. The doctors even with pictures of the ear refused to treat it and just said they can’t help. Waste of time. Used to be able to use this app when he got infections but now they won’t do anything except collect money from your insurance company.

Not very helpful

Not very helpful. Despite the fact they could do nothing for me, I was still charged a co pay. This was a waste of time and money. Now I have to pay again to go to a doctor. I want a refund. Skip the app and just be seen by a doctor in person.

Expensive Referral Service Disguised as Telehealth

Paid for telehealth consultation for classic UTI symptoms after returning from Cancún. NP Felicia Seay refused standard empirical antibiotic treatment, claiming "international travel" made it a "complicated UTI" requiring urgent care testing first. When I pointed out this defeats the entire purpose of telehealth, she hung up on me.
This isn't the first time - EVERY 98point6 consultation I've had results in "go to urgent care." They provide zero medical treatment, then refer you elsewhere for actual healthcare. You're essentially paying for someone to tell you to go pay someone else.
Their business model appears to be: collect insurance payments, provide referrals, avoid actually practicing medicine. If you want real telehealth that treats conditions instead of generating expensive referrals, use literally any other service.

They were good until they weren't

I have had 98.6 for several years through my company. Went on COBRA a while back and kept the coverage. Now when I try to use it I cannot log on. I called tech support they said they would reactivate my phone number and call me when that was completed. That was about a week or 10 days ago. Still cannot access it, no one has called me back at this point I'm done with them. I'll just call my doctor.

They are a ripoff.

They are a ripoff, I have a simple UTI. Dr. Grogan’s recommendation was to go to the ER for IV antibiotics. Seriously??? I have medical training, did an at home AZO test to confirm. Explained this to him, then my session was cut off. I don’t believe I was chatting with a real person this was NOT a televisit, a chat head. I’m reporting them. I hope you won’t use them.

UTTERLY WORTHLESS

UTTERLY WORTHLESS.

Getting timely healthcare in remote Alaska can at times be challenging. My wife, a Doctor of Pharmacy with 25 years experience who knows far more about drugs than medical doctors or osteopaths do, was quite sick. She sat next to a person on an airplane who had coughed in her face the whole flight, refusing to cover his mouth. For eight hours. She quickly got sick. She had a horrible cough and produced volumes of sticky bright green sputum, indicating probable bacterial infection.

98point6 allowed her to consult from the relative comfort of home. Except they were USELESS. They asked her what she wanted and why. She explained she needed a broad spectrum antibiotic and steroids. This provider diagnosed her with pneumonia, but refused to give her any medication to treat the underlying illness itself. After a serious struggle, they phoned in cough treatment ONLY. But first, THEY DEMANDED SHE GO IN PERSON TO A DOC-IN-THE-BOX FOR COVID HOAX TESTING. Then to call them back with results. Why on earth would Telehealth think this was a good idea? Why not simply go to the local facility in person in the first place if this was an option? Ridiculous! So, I drove and got the required covid test, which came back negative. My wife called 98point6 back and they STILL REFUSED to give her anything to treat the actual illness.

She ended up suffering for more than a week without treatment, and missed five days of work. She coughed so hard she threw up four times. What on earth was the point of this "treatment"?

Of course, she couldn't help giving it to me, as she remained contagious since she was given nothing to treat the underlying illness itself. Thus, due to this worthless company, we both unnecessarily suffered with this illness, which could have been almost instantly curtailed, or prevented entirely, in my case, with a simple antibiotic.

UTTERLY WORTHLESS. AVOID this service. They will not help you.

Stay away

Support is unhelpful and patronizing, especially Julio R. Only sign up for this if you think you’ll never ever have any problems with your insurance, because good luck getting anything resolved. They don’t look you up at all, they just copy and paste from a generic script.

Don’t use this app it’s a scam this is the second time I used. 1st time it was for me with a stye in my eye which I usually get antibiotics cuz I’m a diabetic and none was given I ended in the urgent care. Today my son has pink eye and they said it was viral. It’s red and draining how much do u need. If it would have been swollen then they would say “Sorry u need to get a swab to verify the infection type in order to get the right antibiotics “ that’s how they work. Scam Do not waste your time with these losers. Their NP’s are useless.

WASTE OF TIME DONT USE…

Please dont waste your time using this app. I have used it 3 time and have deleted it 3 times. All come up with stupid reason why not to prescribe meds. This was suppose to be a way of not going to the doctor to save time, each time I needed meds like antibiotics and 800 mg ibuprofen and could even get it.

Have used before for exact same medical problem as this time. They gave me antibiotics for it last time cleared it right up. This time they told me just push through and use overcounter meds that I already have tried many times over and they have not worked. I mean they have it on file and that antibiotics worked last time. Just like they do everytime my sinus infection gets this bad. Very disappointing. Good chance I'll never use again.
