We, 9 SEASON is a group of professionals who assist the local farmers to look beyond in taking their crops to the world. We are grooming the farmer community in Sri Lanka and assisting in finding outbound markets for their products. We were triggered to support the Sri Lankan farmer community due to the many issues they face when trying to sell their harvest. We are not mere businessmen, rather a blend of professionals who assist these communities in carrying out the necessary research, equipping them with the new trends and knowledge sharing and mainly helping them to achieve a fair trade for all the crops they harvest. While conducting our continuous research pertaining to the agri related supply chain in Sri Lanka, we came across such pathetic observations that Sri Lankan farmers encounter, almost every day. At the same time, the present world market has a scarcity in agri products for their consumption, and most countries do not produce their own cultivations and depend on getting these needs from elsewhere. In this context, our main aim is to bridge this gap of demand and supply. In doing so we started working with different farmer families of Sri Lanka in the year 2019. As we are conversant and confident on a sustainable supply, our move is to access potential customers in the global market in order to get all stakeholders a fair trade /fair pricing by it. Given the above backdrop, we came across the opportunities in the Europe and Global market segment, which we feel is an unique opportunity for us as a startup business to try out.See more
