Near-Enterprise ISP
AAISP are much closer to an enterprise-grade ISP than the more common domestic-grade ISPs, giving you many more services (including static IPv4 addresses and IPv6 ranges, allowing you to run your own servers, and, most of all, giving you an unfiltered experience of the Internet). This means that while their services are more expensive than the domestic ISPs, you get what you pay for.
The service has been utterly reliable with the exception of the copper line that I was using until my recent upgrade to FTTP. I haven't needed to use support much, but they have been very helpful in getting my VOIP phone service running, and making sure the FTTP upgrade went smoothly.
On the day the FTTP upgrade was as smooth as silk, with less than 5 minutes of downtime through the whole process. I'm more than happy with the performance of the FTTP service.
I've used this provider for my internet in two cities and both times the experience has been excellent. I struggle to see how anyone had issues with setup (as some reviewers did) because the instructions were clear and simple. Even though they're user friendly, AAISP do a great job of being transparent with the service they provide. I have access to detailed service data and I am genuinely blown away that I get a text alert within 30 seconds when they detect that my service is down. A true gem in a world where most ISPs' customer service is intended to keep people from complaining.
So nice to talk to a real human who knows what their talking about. Despite the obstacles raised by my previous ISP A & A sorted everything and the transfer of broadband and phone went without a hitch and has worked well since.
Tech support at A&A was great when I needed help with my fibre connection. E-mails were answered quickly by people who actually understood the technology. This is in marked contrast to other ISPs that I have used.
I've had the A&A broadband service for a month now and can't fault it. It's good to know that if I do have problems, I'll be able to get through to knowledgeable support people in the UK.
If I was to summarise, I would say simply Andrews & Arnold, just works - no marketing buzz words, what they say, is exactly what you get.
Broadband: The broadband is second to none, when it comes consumer (or even some business packages), for context I came from Virgin Media Business package; and AA excels in every category.
On the technical side, AA obviously invests a lot into there core network, not only is latency superb, but peer-to-peer communications with third party networks has higher link capacity (for example, to my own network located within a datacenter, throughput increased by 2x) - with same underlying advertised link capacity. (and not to mention, true routed IP space, IPv6 support, SWIPing, reverse DNS, BGP peering - honestly, if you like network engineering, this is a dream!)
Customer Support: Instantly able to talk to a human, no AI, no robots, just knowledgeable humans who do not read from a script.
Further, AA go a step further, again you can see they truly care about the customer, and will do anything within there power to ensure the customer has a good experience, even as far to point out issues with the line, then ensure OpenReach fix.
In addition, if you're a technical person like myself you can instantly speak to an engineer about any complex issues, or even requirements; honestly the service here is better than some tier 1 providers I have dealt with commercially, and given the price - honestly it's amazing.
TL,DR - what are you waiting for.
A&A have just helped me through a second house-move, this time upgrading to FTTP and porting a number to VOIP. Very good service, they have actual people available on the other end of a phone who answer your questions! Glad to be staying with them.
I had a Skype number that needed to be ported over. I thought it best to call them to discuss - Skype/MS provided little clarity. A&A were very helpful in setting out the steps.
I set it up, got an email asking for a little more info, a second one saying it was in process and a third a couple of days later saying it was all sorted. Their comms are excellent
On the transfer date, I just logged in to my account and redirected the number to my mobile. This activated immediately.
These guys just do what they say they will do and get on with it. No fuss and very helpful. Really impressed so far
Great experience throughout, when we had questions A&A was very responsive and helpful.
Performance and throughput are top notch, no connection issues of any kind, and consistently testing >950 Mbit speeds despite our own setup adding 20m of cable and 2 switches.
Monthly cost was obviously higher than other providers on offer, we picked based on reviews and experiences and A&A certainly delivered.
A new FTTP installation and then porting of our landline number went very smoothly. Their support site gave all the instructions needed for setting up my VOIP DECT phone. I found A&A very knowledgeable and helpful.
Extremely pleased with the outcome!
Ran in to a few issues while switching over, but these were dealt with. If, like me, you are sick of dealing with companies that take days to reply to your enquiries and sort out your issues, I'd recommend A&A - you can speak to someone within a minute most times in my experience and the communication is great. Highly recommended.
I’ve used A&A for over six years across three different addresses - they’re my go-to every time. The speed, service, and support are exceptional. No other ISP even comes close, regardless of the speeds they claim to offer.
Recently had a new FTTP line installed, installation went well and the service has been 100% reliable so far. Getting the full advertised speed, not had any throttling, latency is also excellent. I'm able to use an OpenWRT based router without any issues.
I've used Andrews and Arnold for many years now but last week I had FTTP fitted and it's performance has been great. A small initial issue was worked through with the minimum of fuss by knowledgeable human being on the end of a device called a PHONE. This involved an process called "speaking to someone" (now "lost tech" to many businesses) which was achieved with a minimum of fuss. Couldn't be happier.
Seemless switch over!
Smooth transfer across from Sky to A&A - clear information from the sales team throughout :)
I have been with Andrews & Arnold for many years ever since my previous ISP started to annoy me by introducing traffic shaping and similar shenanigans.
AAISP offer you a straightforward deal and they honour it. I like their plain language. It means we all know where we stand. I find them very easy to deal with.
They monitor the performance of your line as a matter of course and, presumably, rectify faults before you know about most of them. On the very rare occasions that I have noticed an issue, their support team was knowledgeable and addressed the problem swiftly.
The prompt for this review was the upgrade of my line from FTTC to FTTP along with a switch from BT landline to an AAISP VOIP phone. It was very easy to request this on their website and it was always clear what I was agreeing to. I was particularly pleased to be able to keep my existing landline phone number. An appointment with an Openreach engineer duly ensued, my upgrade occurred on the time and date agreed with no issues and the new services Just Work, only faster.
I've been with A&A for years now. I use their home broadband and telephony. It's a fair, honest and reliable service from a bunch of very technically able people. They deliver on what they promise every time. If faults happen, they let you know, they tell you the diagnosis and the fault is fixed as fast.
Whenever I've dealt with them it's been great. You ring them up and you get to speak to a real person right away. For the things I know about, they treat me like an intelligent person. For the things I don't know about, they'll happily explain.
Their equipment and network are great. Their control panel exposes much more monitoring information about my connection and configuration options than other providers. I can set up my services as I choose - I have IPv6, reverse DNS, advanced VoIP features, and more, all as part of the standard service.
Internet done right. Highly recommended.
Great service. Open, honest, straightforward.

Been with A&A over 2 years and moved from gfast to fttp, the day of install went flawlessly, install was done by circet. I had to contact support to sort a billing issue of my own making which was sorted quickly.

Last year, I moved into a property which (unbeknownst to me) had a collapsed underground fibre duct. After the first two ISPs I signed up with couldn't make any progress on getting me connected, someone recommended A&A to me. They were able to navigate the complexities of getting this resolved with Openreach and kept me updated along the way.
Since installation, I've found the service to be reliable. Overall, I've been very happy with them so far and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic. AA feel like an old fashioned company in their level of service, but with technology that outperforms the largest, most famous ISP by leagues. I have confidence that they would solve any problems I have quickly, and that I would be straight through to a competent engineer without having to persuade a queue of staff that I've turned it off and on again. But I'm yet to have a problem, so I'll have to wait and see.
