Amazing personal service

What a refreshing change to have dealt with a company in the UK which was efficient and helpful. In particular Kerry went out of her way to ensure that the item I wanted to order was the correct part and that it was delivered to me very quickly.
I also contacted Joanna in Poland head office who helped me in identifying what I needed. I shall be forever grateful.

Excellent service from Abelo

Excellent service from Abelo.
Ordered a couple of days ago and here in their allotted time.
Abelos Poly goods are hard wearing but they take no chances and add fragile labels to the parcel, giving buyers extra assurance that items will arrive safe.

Best customer service

My hives arrived damaged however I reported to customer service, my replacement hives arrived in less than 24 hours later with no issues.

Fab customer service

Yet again, Abelo customer service has been great. It really makes buying from them so good. Not only are the products I have had great (and exactly as described) but any queries are dealt with quickly and with a really helpful approach. Thank you Abelo.

20 fully assembled super frames

I bought 20 fully assembled super frames from the company. The photo of the frames on their website does not have sharp wire coming out of the wire.

Each frame has a sharp wire coming out of the wood. They cannot be used for my bees. I have never in my beekeeping life seen such poor quality frames.

Any beekeeper, who joins a local association, will be taught how to build a frame. You do not get taught to build frames with sharp wire sticking out because bees will lacerate themselves on the sharp wire.

I bought these frames for a friend because I had an account with Abelo.

I complained about this and a staff member called Kerry replied to my complaint. Kerry was the only person who contacted me using my personal email.

Her first thoughts was that the frames were ok and that I could bash the wires in with a hammer.

I rejected this suggestion as I paid for fully assembled frames.

Then she wanted me to return the frames at my own expense.

I rejected this suggestion as the frames are not fit for use.

I raised a dispute with PayPal.

In the past I have been subject to attempted fraud using my personal email. Therefore, I have a special email for PayPal - an email I only use for PayPal. I do not monitor this email.

After seeing the reply from Abelo below, I did check the PayPal email account. Indeed there is an email from Abelo apologising to me as I had been sent the wrong frames. The message goes onto to say that they will collect the frames and I can have replacement frames or my money back.

At no time did Kerry pass this message onto me. Instead her opinion is that the frames are ok. Abelo staff need to talk to each other before communicating with customers.

Last Monday (02/06/2025) Kerry told me that she will arrange a collection of the frames for yesterday (03/06/2025). She didn’t bother finding out if I would be at home yesterday. In fact I was at home.

Yesterday (03/06/2025) morning Kerry contacted me to say I can keep the frames and that she has authorised a full refund.

I don’t want these frames. I can’t do anything with them. If the frames are so wonderful why don’t they take them back and sell them to someone else.

Following raising a dispute with PayPal I have received a full refund.

Abelo needs to have effective quality control in frames so that frames that are sent to a customer are fit for purpose.

The emails from Kerry were very abusive and offensive. She needs to undergo retaining in customer care.

Needless to say I will not be buying anything from this company again.

When you raised a dispute with PayPal I offered free collection, exchange or full refund but you never responded or answered the telephone when I tried to contact you, both of which are important in communication to resolve issues either with Paypal or with ourselves.

It is your sole responsibility to monitor you email in circumstances where you have raised an issue and are awaiting a response. It was you who opened up a second line of communiction via email with my colleague - which due to a extremely high volume of emails and the weekend the communication between ourselves failed on this occasion.

You immediately chose to contact Which and threatened to sue Abelo asking for the name of the person for your complaint to be addressed to without giving us a chance to reply in a reasonable timescale.

''I don’t want these frames. I can’t do anything with them. If the frames are so wonderful why don’t they take them back and sell them to someone else.''

Becouse you made that imposssible and we can't meet your requiments:

''It would be more sensible to contact me first to arrange a suitable date and time for the collection of the frames. How do you know someone is going to be in the house to hand over the frames.

It would also be sensible to tell me which company is picking up the frames and when they will be here.

If we are not available when they arrive you will have to rearrange the collection at a time and date suitable to me.

As per the advice from Which legal team I have videoed myself packing up the frames.

Can you take the frames to a local charity beekeeping association and please give them for free with sticker from Abelo. Any problem please contact damian@abelo.co.uk

Abelo has sold 20 000 frames this spring alone and you are the first person to raise this or any issue.

I feel like people reading your negative 1 Star review also need to be made aware of your level of response to my colleague:

Sadly I feel you were never looking for a compromise in this situation.

Her response was detailed and fair, calm and non aggressive, your chain of email messages however, leave a lot to be desired.

A great team, great products, great service!

I have been a very happy customer of Abelo for four years or so now.
Every time I order beekeeping kit - e.g. the Abelo 14x12 twelve frame poly hive, related accessories, ready made frames, extractors, creamer etc - I find the service to be excellent, the responsiveness impressive and Abelo’s products to be of the highest quality.
Whenever I have needed to call / email, Kerry and Damien make themselves available and are always very willing to engage and help, in spite of being super busy.
The Abelo team provide an exceptional level of service, are considerate and are genuinely customer focused in their approach.
A great team, great products, great service!

Great customer service

I bought the small poly solar wax extractor app for the apiary- just for bits. The glass pane fogged up and the tin wax mould rusted- almost immediately. Abelo were wonderful- they sent out new parts the day I called them! It works now and is really convenient. Im definitely going to buy more abelo products (I already have their big wax extractor in the garden- its great).

First rate customer service

I ordered an item without doing my due dilligence and discovered that I had ordered something that I didn't need; Abelo were actually at the point of dispatching my order when I emailed them to say I wished to cancel as I no longer needed the item. They cancelled my order immediately (as requested) and were extremely understanding; they couldn't have been more helpful or understanding; if only ALL suppliers were this professional and empathetic customers wouldn't have any issues. A first rate, 5 star service which I highly recommend and will definitely look to purchase from them in the future.

Superb and very speedy customer service. Recent purchase of 2 x 12 F National hives and the mini plus nuc.
Sent missing parts of order next day!
Couldn't have been more helpful.

Exemplary customer service

I had a minor issue with a candle mould I bought, after emailing Abelo on the matter they quickly called me to discuss. Less than 24hrs later I had a replacement mould on the doorstep.

Best hive design by far

Having recently purchased some Abelo hives I thought to do something I seldom do, leave a review.
When ordered the hives and some extra parts I made a mistake which Kelly at customer service noticed immediately and called me directly to amend the error. Fantastic.
When the hives arrived the packaging was first class , double boxed. Upon opening the boxes and inspecting the hives I could find no fault. Whoever designed these hives has thought of everything, and I mean everything. Top quality, fantastically well designed and very light to handle.
I would like to say a big thank you to Kelly for her help and to Abelo for designing such a great hive . Very impressive. Thank you.

Abelo great quality beekeeping products…

Abelo great quality beekeeping products at reasonable prices. They also provide excellent customer support. I recently emailed them at 22:30 on a saturday asking how I could get my radial shallow frame extractor to take deep frames.
The director of Abelo immediately replied to my email with a link to the relevant accessory.
Excellent all round.

Great products and quality service no hassle

Me and my partner are new to Beekeeping and ordered the wrong size brood box and supers by mistake. Kerry was super helpful and ensured that we purchased the right size second time round for the hive we have and quickly organised collection of the previous ones for a small fee and refunded the rest of the money very quickly with no hassle. The reason we wanted an exchange was due to the great quality and aesthetic of the product. The frames we purchased were also exactly as described and fit with no problems. Definitely would recommend and will purchase from here again in the future.
