As a family, we are very grateful to have found Ablecare to provide professional and capable carers for my mother, who is in her mid-eighties, increasingly physically frail but mentally still strong. I was impressed by the registration process, which led to the development of a care plan and ensured a comprehensive assessment of my mother’s needs and that they could be met appropriately, ensuring a good fit. Michelle impressed us with her extensive experience, empathy, and practical approach, as well as her compassionate, person-centred manner. We have been very pleased with the care received so far and would strongly recommend Ablecare.

Able Care have been providing us with live-in carers (one week on and one week off) for over a year. We now have two carers who are considerate, professional and very caring towards our Mum who is over 100 years old. There was a gap when one carer could not come anymore but that was filled speedily and satisfactorily with a few different carers who were all acceptable to us and our Mum. We are contacted every week to check things are all ok and Inknow the carers are too so any issues can be resolved or thought through. I would highly recommend Able Care as they have a good list of carers on their books which means they must be a good company to work for.

We had able care for two months maybe 2 and a half this is a different situation most people have carers come in because there on there own, because I live here I have seen the care he’s getting hair not washed in two and half months, I have reported my dad been peeing in cup and throwing out window again nothing done still doing it even though I told him but he suffers dementia so doesn’t take it in again me and daughter live here but we work I tend work from home because he does have days where he’s walked out and nearly got run over, which again croydon council are aware off that’s why being in a home suit his needs

Again no teeth been cleaned in over two months bedding been on over three weeks not change again all been reported nothing done this care is not right and the only reason I’ve seen this is because I love here, how many more people leave there loved once in able cares hands but don’t know what’s going on as there only pop in now then, because I’m here all time I looked into what’s not being done and it’s not good anyone having theses into care for there loved ones maybe stay a week with them see what they do in a day to day bases I had to be on them all time as personal hygiene is a joke I have asked for him to go in a home. For his one sack one he wanders out and has been nearly killed by a car again croydon council saying we reviewing it
I’m sorry but there is no proper care here and I feel sorry for people who have left this company in charge of. There loved ones and there is no one watching over these carers as believe me I couldn’t believe the neglect, I also put notes on door so know it’s my room and daughter I carer came in Sunday shouting career career this went on waking whole house up and then he walks into my daughters room no knock even though I put her name on her door and again my room banging it even though I have put my name on the door the company is awful honestly spend a week with your loved ones then you see care they really recieving again my dad not been to doctors in over a year also put this to the company again the company is awful

I work for Able Care as a live in carer, Michelle and her team are very supportive to us Carers, always reachable if at all needed for any query you might have with a placement. I love working with Able Care, you feel like part of the family which is always very lovely. Thank you Able Care for all your support, really appreciate you all. 🥰

I only can tell about ABLE CARE the best!!! They fulfill all the qualities are definitely necessary to call themselfs as the best Care Company.

Able Care have been supporting my Mum for just over a week now. The carer is lovely, kind and extremely good at looking after Mum in many ways, encouraging Mum to continue with her own independence as much as she can, but there as a helping hand and as a companion.
Mum was very anxious to start but realised she was struggling look after herself. It was a very hard decision for the whole family to make, but I wish we had reached out months ago. I've also noticed in this short time, despite mum's dementia she has grown in confidence.
Able Care are a professional, well organised Company and give love and care as needed. This possibly comes from being a family owned business.

I've been working with able care for about 3 years now. I have found the company to be caring, professional and consistent with their clients and staff at all times. Care plans are always kept up to date. Clients families are always informed of any changes or updates too. Mandatory Training is prompted when due. Communication between the office and staff and families is prompt and ongoing. Genuinely a pleasure to work for.

When we reached the point where it looked like moving my parents into a care home might be unavoidable — something they were very much opposed to — we were introduced to Able Care. Quite honestly, it changed everything.

From the outset, the process was handled with speed, compassion and professionalism. An assessment was arranged quickly, and live-in care was put in place, enabling my parents to remain in the home they built themselves and where they raised their family. Being able to stay in familiar surroundings, connected to their village and long-standing friends, has made an enormous difference to their wellbeing and quality of life.

The standard of care has been exceptional. There has been a reassuring level of consistency in carers, allowing genuine relationships and trust to form, which has been invaluable for my parents. It’s clear that Able Care places real importance on continuity, dignity and personal connection.

Importantly, for me, Able Care has provided enormous peace of mind. I live abroad, and knowing that my parents are safe, well cared for, and supported by a trusted and responsive team has taken away a huge amount of worry. Communication has been clear and proactive, and I always feel informed and confident that they are in good hands.

What truly sets Able Care apart is the fact that it is a family-run business — this comes through in every interaction. They have consistently gone above and beyond, showing care not just for my parents, but for us as a family navigating a difficult time.

We've been using AbleCare for well over a year now and would highly recommend them to look after any loved ones. Not only are they incredibly competitively priced, but we have found them to be a very professional company to deal with.
What is so special about the company is that it is family-based, and originally sprung out of a need for the owners themselves to seek an alternative form of long-term care for their own aged relatives. Michelle, the manager, is approachable and friendly, and deals with any queries in a very prompt and effective manner. She has a wonderful balance of understanding and empathy alongside professionalism and efficiency. You couldn't really ask for more!
Despite the company being located some distance from where our aged relative lives, there has never been any difficulties in providing care whenever we have needed it. Their wonderful services have made all the difference, allowing our loved one to stay in the comfort of their own home with 24/7 live-in care, rather than being moved into a residential home. And at no higher cost - that is the surprising part!
The carers themselves have also been professional and compassionate. Michelle always endeavours to provide as much continuity of care as possible, putting in familiar carers on a consistent basis.
All in all, we are delighted with AbleCare, and would encourage anyone considering them to go ahead without hesitation.

Just when we thought we would need to move my parents into a care home - very much against their will - we were introduced to Able Care. A God-send! We were quickly able to arrange an assessment and for carers to live-in, allowing my parents to continue living in the home they built themselves and in which they had raised a family. This has undoubtedly hugely increased their quality of life relative to being moved, especially as they both have such strong ties to their village, with friends able to pop round and seeing familiar faces stroll past the window. The care has been super high quality with a high consistency of individual carers with whom my parents have formed strong bonds. I recommend anyone in a similar position to explore the services Able Care can offer. The fact the business is family-run is evident throughout the service we have received, going above and beyond what one would expect. Thank you!

My mother benefitted from excellent care from the same little tag team of Able Care Agency carers for nearly 5 years. The general consistency of care has been nothing short of astonishing (of course holiday cover has been provided, but the aim has remained to be as consistent as possible there too so that Mum never had to deal with too many new faces). The carers took care to get to know Mum and brilliantly managed the fine balance between giving her space in her own home, while supporting her when she needed it and reassurance when she was frightened. They were able to adjust as Mum's condition worsened over the years and all became genuinely fond of her. I shall be forever grateful to the wonderful women from Able Care who made it possible for Mum to stay in her own home right to the very end of her life. Thank you.

Love that Able Care is family based.
It shows. Mum has had 24 hour care with them for nearly three years.
From the very start we could see that this company understood mums needs.
Every carer we have had, has matched the way we like to look after mum.
Same hobbies that mum had (knitting, sewing etc,
sadly mum cannot do this herself anymore but enjoys watching the carers make her little pieces)
Same sense of humour and most of all family values.
I cannot recommend Able Care enough.
If there have have been weeks where carers have been unwell and can’t work (for mums sake as well as theirs) I’ve always had a call to say they won’t be in but have sorted a replacement.
Although I choose to fill in myself, I feel reassured that if I was unable to, Able Care would be there for mum.
I did research other companies initially and was astounded at the commission fees over and above the carers costs…Able Care’s charges, comparitively are very reasonable.
