Not For Me!

Not For Me!

I have dealt with the following banks online in recent years. MarcusGoldman, Ally, Discover, Newtek, Nexbank, Everbank, Bread Financial, CIT Financial, CIBC, Alliant, Citizens Access, Everbank. I had CDs maturing at another bank and intended moving a Large chunk of money into CDs with abound as they had a good rate. But the process of dealing with this company is waay more difficult than any of these others. I had an extended wait period before I was allowed to do anything. Then I had to create an external link (3 more days for deposits and verifying and when I went in and attempted to transfer 20,000 I ran into a Deposit limitation, called and spoke with customer service and was informed that only via Wire transfer, which would come with charges (small but aggravating and I have a basic mantra about NOT doing business with companies that aggravate me). Closed the account - Marcus would have had this entire transaction taken care of within about 15 minutes on their site. I have opened cd accounts at all of those other named banks above, in the past and all of them handled the process with significantly less waiting time and aggravation.
