I purchased a ring for my wife and me…

I purchased a ring for my wife and me from Kay Jewelers. The first engraving on the ring was terrible. We were shown a beautiful engraving on the picture, but when we received the ring, the engraving was hard to see. We asked Karen, the associate we purchased the ring from, to fix the engraving. However, after a week, our ring was returned with the same engraving, and according to the Kay Jewelers associate, it had been fixed. My wife was upset about it, but since we did not have time to return the ring and wait another week.
Upon purchase, we were offered a Comenity Bank credit card to cover the cost of the ring. Unfortunately, we were not told that after some months, I would be charged almost $1700 in interest. I called Kay Jewelers to inquire, and they redirected me to Comenity Bank to resolve the issue. Comenity Bank staff noted all the information I provided and asked me to call back the next morning. I called the next morning and spoke to a supervisor who said, "I can see you were charged interest on your purchase, which you will have to pay." I asked to speak to the manager, and I was told the same thing. After bouncing back and forth between Kay Jewelers and Comenity Bank, I decided to contact the CEO of Comenity Bank, Robert Bowman. I wrote multiple emails to him, but I never received a response.
In total, I have been charged more than $3000 in interest and still going on, which was never explained to me. Whenever I contacted Kay Jewelers Manager Karen, she never acknowledged my complaint and always redirected me to Comenity Bank. This was frustrating because Comenity Bank supervisors, Valerie, Dawn, Nikki, Ashly, and account specialists Latoria and Jeanine had the same answer for me: that they could not help me, and I needed to contact Kay Jewelers to resolve my issue. This issue caused significant problems in my relationship. In conclusion, making the purchase has cost me double than the original purchase.

If 0 stars could be provided I would

If 0 stars could be provided I would. Had processed two payments online in order to ensure that the account was paid off prior to the promotional period ending. Made sure that the matter was handled and to my surprise the second payment made disappeared. I called and spoke with representative Alfonso ID #A828264 and after speak with Alfonso and Supervisor Michelle who refused to provide any identification and even refused to come on the line to speak with me was advised that there was nothing that could be done and the interest they tagged onto the account would stay. They are horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone. They have no integrity .

Terrible Company

This is the worst credit card company I’ve ever used. I’ve had my card for many years and just the past year suddenly when I try to pay my bill on the website it tells me it cannot find my account, locks me out and makes me reset a password every single time I log in. Then for days it tells me it cannot find me under my credit card number and last 4 of SSN until my bill is past due then suddenly I’m able to make a new password and my account can be found. This company is a freaking joke. Once I pay off my line of credit I’m closing the account and never using them again.

HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE WORST BANK I…

HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE WORST BANK I HAVE EVERRR DONE BUSINESS WITH!

I got a Lays card when I purchased my wife’s engagement ring, and ever since they have been sending my statements and everything to an email address that I have never even heard of before.

Not only this, but when you call and speak to any agents they give THE WRONG INFORMATION! You can not track anything through an app. They are living in the 90’s still apparently.

they are LIARS and very disrespectful to their customers on the phone as well. I don’t plan on hurting my credit, so I will keep the card. But I will NEVER USE IT AGAIN, and I will never refer this bank TO ANYONE.

HORRIBLE/DISCUSTING/TRASH/WORST BANK EVER!!!!!!!! Tell EVERY ONE TO STAY AWAY!!!

On two separate occasions ,with two…

On two separate occasions ,with two different stores that use Comenity with their store credit cards I have been over billed, they once applied a payment I had made to the wrong account and were trying to charge late fees. Lesson learned......never again will I use a store card that uses Comenity. No rewards are worth the difficulty of dealing with them.

Dishonest bank

Dishonest bank! I took out a 12 month loan for some dental work I had done. I didn’t have to but I figured I’d take advantage of their promotion. I went to pay my 12th and final payment just to find out that they tacked on 30% of back interest I called everybody I could from the company and nobody would help me make this right. Because they sent me my first bill and statement six weeks after my purchase date it was in effect an 11 month loan I wasn’t keeping track of the purchase date I was only keeping track of the 12 payments , it was a sneaky trick and they were able to cover themselves legally and not give me back any of the interest. In retrospect. I should have never taken the loan. I should’ve paid my bill in full and I would hope that anyone who reads this would learn from my experience .

Zero stars

I signed up for a card a few weeks ago. I never got the card. When I got my first bill, I couldn't pay it because I didn't have the card number (I thought). I called and wrestled with the automated system. I have a paralyzed vocal cord so can't use the voice commands reliably. When I finally got a person, he told me the number was at the bottom of the page. What kind of stupid sense does it make to "secure" the card number in the account number box but then print it out in full at the bottom of the same page?? So I go online to pay my bill. It won't save my bank info. I call back and am told I need to use the Chrome browser. We don't use Chrome; we use a secure browser that works fine with all our other accounts, and we are not going back to Chrome now for ANYbody. So I decide to go back to the phone automated assistant. I can't type the cc number in fast enough and it sends me again to a representative. And again, she refuses to help me unless I pay a $9.00 fee and sends me back to the phone system. It took me a solid half hour to pay my bill and close my account. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No matter my problem, they still refused to do any work on it themselves without an exhorbitant fee. Never again Comenity. I will remember you, and Bread Financial, forever.

Watch Out… they lie and connive!

I make my payments every month using my bank account of course. I submitted my payment of 37 dollars and they took out 327.00 hmmm they couldn’t be that stupid….they are. When contacting them after a day of runarounds they said it woul d be 90 days for a refund. I got it reversed by my bank, and now they tried pushing it through again…. I reversed it again and am anxiously waiting for them to call! This is a fraudulent company. I don’t know what has happened over the years but they get non English speaking CS Reps and it make me think how much money goes into thei pockets for the scheme??

Common criminal banker thieves

Common criminal banker thieves. So boscovs makes a mistake and makes two of my payments on an old closed out account. I get a phone call saying I haven't made any payments. We get that straightened out, boscovs refunds my money with paper checks through the mail. I call Comenity on the 23rd of the month and ask what is the full payoff, lady on the phone tells me what the full, amount is and I pay it completely off. I'm done with payments, end of history. But no, the lady fails to tell me the payment was due on the 20th, doesn't charge me the late fee. Two, three months go by and I start getting phone calls from these clowns saying since she didn't charge me the late fee I now owe 160 in late fees. Bad way to do business. You bankers should of been strung up and fed to the wolves after what you did in 2008. I immediately canceled the card after that sheet show.

T E R R I B L E

My experience with Comenity Bank has been a total disaster.

After years with DELL's credit line, the transition to Comenity was an absolute nightmare. Not only did I receive no notifications about the change, but I also never received login credentials to manage my account.
When I attempted to seek help from their customer support, it was a complete joke – endless wait times, clueless representatives, and zero resolution.
As a result, I ended up with a late payment on my credit report, all because of Comenity Bank's incompetence and lack of regard for their customers.
Avoid them at all costs if you value your financial stability and sanity.

Terrible CARD COMPANY

Terrible CARD CREDIT COMPANY - Horrible! but this just my opinion and a warning to my fellow shoppers. Put this card back in your shoebox.

If you have problems with a transaction, THE company doesn’t listen to what you say. They don’t help you resolve it in your favor, even if you tell them you didn’t authorize the transaction, you called the questionable company and the company offer an 75% because they are a SCAM, and you didn’t receive merchandise.

Terrible customer service.

Use another Mastercard, or discover, American Express, bank credit, because these people don’t have your backs.

Horrible company

I have had the worst experience with this company I have ever had with a credit card. I have been communicating with them for over 5 months, and I still get the same answer. Even when proof has been sent, they still tell me the same thing. Their customer service department is not helpful at all. DON'T EVER GET A CARD FROM COMENITY!

They have not accredited my account…

They have not accredited my account with last payment, which I made 2-3 weeks ago in store at Academy. I owed $171.00
I paid in store $50.00
--------------
Now they're billing me $204.00
There is proof on their website, but for some reason I cannot access my account... never have been even though I keep my username, and password in my phone notes. The 2 phone numbers I found leads only to automated with no option of talking to a living person.
I'm madder than my one legged F-in-law at an ass kicking contest. Sorry, but my top is about to blow.

Trying to get to customer service is a nightmare. I spoke to four people trying to get a correct address. Three was so incompetent, I asked for a supervisor, then they hung up on me. Finally I talked to one that gave me some information, not sure if it is right. I am going to start only using a company that has customer service representatives that understand your needs and not located in a different company. This is not a company I want to do business with. This is a Caesar Casino preferred card, they need to consider who they do business with

Awful Credit Card System

Awful Credit Card System, If I could give zero, I would. I should not have reapplied. I closed my card in 2015 for the same reason. First, you struggle to log in to your account. When you finally access it, you try to enter your account information to set up autopay, and it won't let you; then you manually pay it, and it doesn't go through. The next thing you know, foreign call center agents are relentlessly contacting you for a late payment; you're considered delinquent now too. I tried to pay it in full to get it over with, and the next month I have a $2 interest charge that I never thought I would have because I paid in full, right? No! Now $2 became $40 including late fees, and you are delinquent again! What a terrible experience with this company! Don't get this card; the discount is not enough to cover the late fees if you can't log in or pay online. You call, you wait on the phone forever, then talk to foreign agents who have no compassion, all giving deep sighs as though they're tired of talking to other unsatisfied customers like me. So frustrating. I'm closing this account as soon as I pay off this ridiculous $2 interest charge again; the charges never stop!

6 year cardholder with ULTA

I had the ulta master card for 6+ years. Noticed some odd minimum interest fees recently. My entire balance was paid down this month. But somehow a fee was left over and issued. If I didn't recheck the app, I would have been charged a late fee. I feel they changed their usage rules or something. Money Hungry. Not worth the headache but it is worth taking the hit of closing this credit card.
