ACES Eye Clinic Reviews 

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt genuinely moved to write one for ACES in Southampton.

The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming from the moment I arrived. The premises were spotless, which immediately put me at ease and gave me real confidence in the care they provide.

It’s rare to come away from a service feeling this reassured, but they truly earned it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I had an appointment after referral from my optician,at the appointment I was recommended to have puncta plugs, I was told it would take about 4 weeks to get an appointment.
After about 6weeks I enquired whether I was near to getting the appointment and was told this type of procedure would take 6-9 months. I found this to be totally unacceptable and wondered what could be the reason for so long but was simply told that this is the way it is.
Not at all happy and still waiting.

Every one at the clinic were so helpful and made me and my wife feel comfortable, the examination was thorough and comfortable I will recommend this hospital 100%

I have been managing Glaucoma for 40 years, and the care I have received at this clinic has been nothing short of exemplary. The prospect of losing your eyesight is frightening, but the staff here consistently put me at ease. They are incredibly professional and take the time to explain every step of the process. I attend annually and always leave feeling reassured and well cared for. I cannot thank the team enough for their support over the decades.

I attended trher MK clinic for my assesment, Unfortunately there was a short wait but it was explained as an appointment overran. I found the staff very helpful polite and, supplied explaination of the procedures and testd and what they were for. Witing rooms were clean bright and very comfortable.
I have not used the reply on the email as my computer detected a virus.

Very good service and staff very friendly and make the appointment enjoyable clinic very clean and tidy.

From the initial referral from my optician for cataract surgery, I cannot fault the service I have received. I am having my second cataract surgery at the end of January and I am feeling less nervous and confident.

The whole experience from opticians referral to treatment took only three weeks. Greatly pleased with the instant vision improvement. Be assured you’re in good hands with ACES.

I have been a patient of ACES for many years due to having Glaucoma. From the very first visiit they have always been very Proffesional, Caring, Friendly, Supportive, along with noting being to much trouble. I have no problem at all in recommending this wonderful health provider.

I had my replacement lens carried out at Chelmsford, they replaced with wrong lens, no accountability and no sense of urgency to correct their mistake despite being nearly 3 months of waiting to fit me in again.

was referred by my optician to have my right eye lazered. The reception staff were very friendly & polite. The actual gentleman who did the laser put me at ease and was polite & friendly

Following the referral I was contacted by Aces within 4 days and an appointment booked in 10. The tests carried out seemed thorough although somewhat fragmented. I was put forward for Cataract surgery. The procedure on my first eye was within 3 weeks with the second within a further 20 days.
The staff were very professional if not particularly friendly/chatty. The surgery took about ten minutes. However it seemed very much like a conveyor belt procedure.

Aces really know what they are doing. I felt relaxed and well cared for before and after my procedure.
The staff are excellent and the premises comfortable.

Apart from not being told about the wait time of 40 to 45 minutes before being seen Aces staff were all professional and friendly. The tests carried out were very extensive and the machines used were impressive. It took about an hour to ascertain that both my eyes needed cataract operations. A very thorough appointment. The NHS chose well using Aces.

My first cataract removal so a new experience for me. The whole procedure went very smoothly. The HCA’s who instilled plenty of eye drops, the Surgeon who performed the procedure and the after care and advice was all very good. Thoroughly recommend ACES for any ophthalmic procedures that they cover.

The assessment before operation was great. The operations went smoothly. But I’m very disappointed with the follow up call after the second eye surgery hasn’t happened. 2 appointments later that didn’t happen. No explanation as to why. Definitely no apology. So frustrating. Still waiting nearly 2 weeks after surgery. Was told I would get a call back. This didn’t happen either. So I still don’t know if the appointment has been arranged for the third time. Just not good enough.
