Company responded immediately when we were looking for outdoor personnel lift options. The salesman explained the functions of the stairlift chair thoroughly.
The installer was very personable. He had the stairlift chair installed in less than 2 hours. He clearly explained all aspects of the stairlift chair.
Great product - We highly recommend Acorn Stairlifts!

“Outstanding employees in every department!! Sales rep. and installer were so awesome. Sales rep. explained history, how the outdoor lift works. The installer who installed the chair was friendly, worked fast, and explained usage. In fact, I believe Acorn was the fastest company service I had ever experienced

Best decision we made was in choosing Acorn! We love our new outdoor stair lift! One person, Al, completed the installation in just a couple hours! It was amazing!

Outstanding customer service. I sent an email Thursday evening after they closed, requesting info about the outdoor stairlift, and a rep called me first thing in the morning to schedule a visit. Friday afternoon the sales rep Richard came out and was so friendly and assessed the situation and said installation would be no problem and it would work for us. The following Tuesday Maxim the installer came and had the job done in about 2 hrs. Excellent job, showed us how it worked and explained everything. We tried it a few times and loved it. It looks great, good price. We looked at elevator lifts, ramps, etc. The stairlift did not require any changes to our current set up. Within 4 days it was done. We did have a power source right at the sight which was helpful. Highly recommend it.

Everything about our experience with Acorn Stairlifts couldn't have been easier. After visiting their website, we were promptly contacted by an Acorn representative who made us a fast appointment with a nearby client advisor, Mr. C Davis. Mr. Davis was early for his appointment, he listened to our needs, advised us of the outdoor stairlift we needed, and explained the entire process. We couldn't have enjoyed his visit more. Installation was scheduled for the following week. The installer, Mr. A Green, showed up on time, and within less than an hour and a half, we had our stairlift! Mr. Green demonstrated all aspects of the stairlift operation, and we felt very comfortable using it.
Our home is over 100 years old, and every entrance has four stairs, so it has been hard on aging knees to get up and down those stairs! The week following installation, my husband thought he could walk down our outside stairs to go to his doctor appointment, but he was physically unable to do so. He got on the stairlift, which came down safely, like it is designed to do! It was such a relief! And, it was an actual God-send which we needed at this time in our lives!
Thank you Acorn Stairlifts for your courtesy and care for the handicapped and aging population here in the USA. Your professionalism is SECOND TO NONE!

I own two outdoor chairlifts. They are three years old. I have 7 service calls. They work less than 1/2 the time. They charge an additional $500/ yr / chair for a warranty and then take weeks to schedule a service if you can even get through. Don’t believe me, call their service department yourself. The outdoor chairs are identical to the indoor chairs other than they come with a cheap cover( lasts 6 months) and the control board is varnished. All the switches and controls are indoor rated, including the power supply so they breakdown constantly . They are now not even honoring the warranty because I bought the same cheap power supply they supply because I could not wait three weeks for them to come out. They have good ratings where they have input. Where they don’t, like Facebook, see their reviews. I am not the only one. The outdoor chairs do not work well and the aftermarket service is non existent
Gordon installed our outdoor stairlift today. He did a great job. He was prompt, pleasant and professional. He gave us good instructions on how to use it and we tried it out several times. It was a delight to meet him and an enjoyable project so far.

Shaun Malinowski was the tech who came to service my acorn outdoor stairlift. He said he’d be there at 11:00 AM and he was right on time. He gave a visual assessment of the unit and within approximately 5-10 minutes he knew what had to be done. He explained what he was going to do, answered my questions and proceeded to do the repairs. He anticipated a certain amount of time to finish and he was right on time with that also. He was extremely courteous, professional and patient with me explaining what he had done, and gave me tips on keeping the unit in top notch condition.
He knows what he’s doing and seems to like his job. I know a company will tell employees how to treat a customer but I think Shaun knew how before the company taught him. If I need service in the future I will ask for Shaun Malinowski.

I recently needed to install an outdoor stairlift. After calling Acorn, they made the process easy. Very professional and courteous people, from 1st man sent out, to salespeople and final installer. The prodouct works great!
We have bought two of these stairlifts. One is used indoor between the 1st floor and basement Has sure saved some muscles. The one we really like is the one that is outdoor on the steps leading to our mobile home in FL. It comes with a nifty waterproof cover. (Since we are expecting a possible hurricane, we will see how secure the cover is.) It has sure let my husband get outside safer. Would hardily recommend. I esp. like the fact that the rail is located low and not down the middle of the wall as some are.
The outdoor lift make it very easy for my Wife to get out of the house
Easy to operate, relatively inexpensive, but well worth the cost to the person who needs it.
I think Acorn had missed an opportunity for earlier sales if they had pushed the availability of outdoor units.
