Stay away this company is a joke !

Stay away this company is a joke !! Poor communication , poor service levels. Was called out as emergency 9 days later still not knowing what is happening about water pouring out of overflow damaging my property. Was told by engineer who visited after 3 days they would put a report in and sent photos then another engineer 7 days later came we though with the part but was there to see what needed to be done a first visit. No one knew what was going on in the office. We have now got the job done by local gas engineer. Do not know how they are on the panel for my insurers,

Avoid Action Property Services

This is a terrible company and I would advise to steer clear of them. My insurance company has sent them twice now and both times they did not fix the proplem with our boiler. This latest time they said the five year old boiler was unfixable and we would need a new one. The tradesman was very unpleasant. I got another plumber to come and he unblocked the condenser in an hour at a small cost certainly much less than another boiler. He was polite and pleasant.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. Contacted my insurers who notified me APS would be coming yesterday to fix my boiler - no hot water or heating. Both my husband and myself waited in all day - told by insurers 3 times APS were definitely coming out between 7 am and 6 pm. 4.30 pm APS finally called ourselves with pathetic excuse and stating they weren’t coming today. Useless company - no apology nothing . Don’t bother with this company - find someone ourselves and claim back from insurers - much better as if they can can’t be honest with customers from the start what’s the point . Never using again - found someone myself - with over 20 experience - much better. AVOID APS at all cost.

This company was commissioned by my…

This company was commissioned by my Home Insurance company's emergency cover. I do not have words to describe how shocking this company was. Cowboys would be an under statement. Avoid. If your insurance company commissions them beg and plead for someone else.

I wish I could give 0 stars to this…

I wish I could give 0 stars to this pathetic company who seem to have a bunch of cowboys, who are only good at giving false updates. It's been 10 days that I had raised an issue with Tesco home emergency insurance and they assigned that to APS. The boiler pump was identified to be replaced and it's been 10 days that I am chasing them for replacement. Every time I manage to speak with them, they will cook up a story on the delay and say than an engineer shall visit tomorrow b/w 8:00 - 18:00 but no one calls or visits. The same thing happens next day and so on. Tesco home emergency insurance is equally to blame as they have partnered with such an appalling service provider. I have 2 small kids, younger one being 6 months old and we are somehow managing without a functional boiler for the last 10 days. It's such a shame APS !!

Appalling service

Appalling service. We have emergency cover via Axa and called to report a broken boiler and no heating / hot water on Friday morning. We were assured that someone would be out on Monday. It’s now Monday lunchtime. No one is picking up the phone to confirm timings or the details of our engineer. Axa can’t get through to them. No idea if anyone is coming out today or not. Day 4 without heating and our patience is wearing thin. Would not recommend.

Awful company!!

They called up to cancel an appointment on the day, twice. When I said I’d like to complain as it’s the second time I’ve taken a day off, a horrible man called Lewis claimed that he didn’t have a facilty to transfer the call. When I questioned this he just hung up. Excellent customer service,Lewis. Not!!

I had a problem with my shower pump

I had a problem with my shower pump. I contacted my insurance company who instructed Action Property Services to carry out the job. After several let downs and 6 weeks later they fitted a new pump. Two engineers arrived one lady and one gentleman. Obviously they did not know how to fit it so the lady looked at the internet whilst the man carried out her instructions. They took almost 2 hours to fit this. When I tested the taps and the shower there was a problem with the pressure. Water trickled out at first than it gushed out. I complained and a second company came to see what the problem was. Their report stated that a wrong pump was fitted. APS refused to agree and when they came to check the man was extremely rude saying that this was normal and if I was not happy I should contact the manufacturer which was ridiculous as they fitted the pump. Absolute cowboy.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Charged for diagnosing the leak. Didnt turn up when scheduled, no call no explanation. Charged for fixing the leak although the leak wasnt fixed. "Dont worry insurance will pay for it" "bit like repairing a car" "when you fix one thing something else breaks it always happens". Just keep quoting and keep paying. Absolutely disgusting. Now expected to pay £500 plus another who knows how much as another guess is required.

RIP OFF!! (Theft in my book)

The company’s heating engineer arrives at my house. I direct her to the boiler and explain that it’s constantly losing pressure and there’s a leak from the magnetic filter. She asks if I could get the tool to open the filter cap because they ‘don’t carry them in their van’
As far as I know, there is no dedicated tool for this, however I have a tool to remove an oil filter from a car engine. I’m gone all of 3 minuwhen I hear her calling me as she’s leaving my house. She says it fine, she knows what’s wrong and I should ring the insurance company and ask them to authorise the replacement of the magnetic filter. At this point, she’s barely seen anything and definitely hasn’t touched anything.
Long story short. Insurance doesn’t cover filters or the power flush the ‘engineer’ says that we need. That’s right, she must’ve carried on talking as she closed my door and walked away because her office say we need that the insurance company is now definitely telling me to take a running jump and my wife is looking into our barely alive savings account to pay the potential grand it’s going to cost us.
Sorry. Long story, short (definitely this time) They lied. I know a thing or two. Had it out with Amish(?) in the office. Backtracked. No need for flush. £230 for filter. I ask for it in writing, with a breakdown. He doesn’t send it. Ask again.....nope.
Got it repaired myself.
A F💀☠️🏴‍☠️🤬🤬🤬 ‘O’ RING!!
THATS WHAT I NEEDED.
Clear & present dishonesty. Even the phone jockey in the office. I won’t have anyone tell me different. I’ll even leave the insurance company if they can’t send a different company.

We called out this company over a gas leak.

We called out this company over a weekend as we had accidentally fractured a gas pipe. They came the following day ( we were given a 8.00 -18.00 timeframe. They made the repair however after they left we smelled gas and tried to ring them but they did not pick up. When we spoke to them the next morning and they would only come if we paid them again there and then. We refused and contacted the National Gas Helpline who identified they had left two leaking joints and repaired them for free. We were very disappointed with their after care.
