Rob provided our wedding guests with an amazing afternoon of axe throwing, he kept things fun and safe and our guests were thrilled. He even had some throwing cards which he got out after hearing one of our stories about learning to throw playing cards, it really made our day! Thank you Rob

What a great experience. Myself and my son (10) did the shooting experience and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Rob is a fountain of knowledge and assisted with stance, safety and confidence. Wonderful time had suitable for all ages .. looking forward to axe throwing next time!

Great hour spent at the Ash Inn learning everything about archery. Rob is very knowledgeable and offers personalised tips to improve. We will definitely go again.

Booked the axe throwing at The Ash Inn up Mow Cop as a surprise for my husband. What great fun and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Rob was a great tutor, great knowledge and good banter. Great value for money, would highly recommend for all the family. Bring on the archery...😉

Booked a session at the Ash Inn on Saturday with my son. Was a great experience really nice guy running it .We will 100% be doing it again reasonably priced great fun.

The session was fantastic! It was fun and engaging for everyone, and they really tailored it to the group. I would definitely recommend them.

Our hen party afternoon was fantastic, filled with axe throwing and archery. The event was superbly organized, and the setup was impressive. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Outstanding fun and a totally new experience that I cannot wait to repeat again. Rob & Sharon provided safe and fun activities for my daughter’s Hen afternoon activity session. We were shown how to safely and effectively do archery, knife throwing and Angel throwing. Rob took time to explain safely how to use the equipment and progressed us to engaging in some competitive competitions.
Rob and Sharon down to earth lovely friendly people. I thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent with us!! I think a new interest has blossomed in archery. From the beginning Rob was really informative and on the ball regarding bookings and if the rented accommodation would have the suitable space to ensure a safe and fun time. Rob and Sharron really brought energy to our Hen celebration and ensured the session was fun and structured with a healthy bit of competition. Definitely got our moneys worth. A great experience from Rob and Shazza! Loads of fun but he also helped us refine skills he was teaching us. So a great experience as a whole. He made a party atmosphere and joked around with us! Amazing afternoon. 10/10

As part of 60th birthday celebrations, our client wanted some fun activities for her guests to enjoy. A group of 32 adults were fully engaged whilst having lots of fun & banter taking part in axe/knife throwing activity. A very professional team with safety being paramount. Everyone (there were 16 of us) giggled, learnt stuff and had fun. There gentle and kind approach made it fun for all! Plus they were super easy to deal with during booking. Book them tbey are fab!

Wow, from the start of my enquiry Active Aardvark were super helpful and responsive. I had several questions and requests and Rob was on hand to answer all of them. I hired the company for Archery and Axe Throwing for my wedding. My husband is Norwegian and I'm English so we wanted the organisers to dress up as vikings and Knights... and they did! So wonderfully!
The care and thought taken to make our day special, by adding extra personal touches throughout were fantastic, people are still talking about it!

All I can say is a massive thankyou to Rob and his team. It was a cold day and your patience and enthusiasm just shone through. I have not a single hesitation from using you guys again or recommending you to my friends and family!

We booked a session with Active Aardvark Activities for archery and air rifle shooting for my son who is in an electric wheelchair. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. It was wonderful to go somewhere that was easily accessible, with someone who took the time to adapt the activities so my son could be fully included. Nothing was too much trouble for Rob! It wasn’t just the inclusion but the extra lengths that Rob went to to ensure that my son was able
fully participate. Rob is a very professional instructor, he is patient, kind and took time to demonstrate exactly how to shot the arrows and air rifles and then help my son adjust each shot to improve his aim. Which meant he hit balloons, twice with an arrow and a bullseye with a the air rifle shooting. His best ever scores!
My son had the biggest smile on his face throughout the whole session. This is one fun day that we’ll definitely remember.
The added bonus was a rubber chicken catapult which was hilarious.

Had an excellent afternoon with Rob, both archery and axe throwing activities, as part of a stag day!
Having never taken part in either activity, Rob got each of us firing the arrows and throwing the range of axes & knives in literally no time.
Very good coaching and instruction, clearly very knowledgeable as he knew exactly how/what we needed to adjust to get proper results.
Really good fun, MUCH MORE FUN than I expected both activities to be. We all had a good laugh as it all became quite competitive, that's how easy we picked it up, under such good instruction.

EACH OF US CAME AWAY SAYING HOW FUN IT ALL WAS AND THAT WE'D DO IT ALL AGAIN!

Rob held a kids party for us. He is kind and patient and involves everyone. The axe throwing and shooting went down a treat the kids and parents all loved it. Thanks so much for making the day special
