No communication after the event failed

The idea of the event was great- booked premium tickets and wrapped up for the weather. Lovely view right in front of Harewood House. However, about halfway through the showing, a gust of wind flipped the screen and they packed it away. Fair enough- it is what it is. However, it has been a week since and I have received no communication from Adventure Cinema to inform us how they intend to rectify the situation. I sent an email to them on Wednesday and had no reply from that either. We spent £160 altogether on tickets, travel and food from the vendors there and only received half the event. I will keep chasing up on this.
EDIT: I finally had a response after sending a follow up email- I have been offered 4 ‘free’ tickets when they are back open after the winter period. Granted, this was the least that should have been offered but it was a smooth communicative interaction, I’m just disappointed I had to chase this up myself.

Well handled refund due to weather cancellation.

Sadly the event I had booked with them had to be cancelled due to predicted storm and high winds. The team sent texts to ticket holders as soon as decision was made and told us to await further email re rescheduling. Following email confirmed there would be no reschedule and the event moved to cancelled. They refunded the money swiftly and without my having to engage them or contact them. Professionally handled even if disappointing to all parties that the event couldn’t take place. Thank you for an easy and pleasant transaction.

Excellent experience

Excellent experience, took the wife and my little girl for her birthday treat, we watched Wicked at salisbury cathedral, august 2025,was touch and go with the weather but it didn't rain and the wind and the cloud added to the atmosphere, wasn't to noisy, although it wasn't really a film I was that interested in watching so maybe the noise didn't bother me as much. Nice experience all around, I would of proffered it if it had been a drive in cinema experience. Why not 5 stars, well like most cinemas they were still letting people in even after the film had been on for 30 minutes, other gripe is the screen could of done with being bigger, picture quality was excellent 4k, maybe even 8k, but the size was just really underwhelming for an outdoor cinema, would I use Adventure cinema again? Definitely

Extremely Distressing Experience- No action from Falcon Eye Security Staff or wrest park staff

I attended Adventure Cinema’s screening of The Goonies at Wrest Park on 14th June 2025 and had a truly distressing experience that left me shaken, injured, and completely unsupported.

Despite the event’s clear guidelines asking attendees to put phones on silent and be respectful, a woman next to us used her phone throughout the film – taking calls, playing voice notes, watching videos – with her screen on full brightness. When I politely asked her to take the calls elsewhere, she escalated the situation by harassing me, throwing things at me, and physically assaulting me by pushing me forcefully – twice.

I have a medical condition, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), which makes my joints vulnerable, and her actions caused me considerable pain. My partner, who is registered blind and uses a cane, also received no support from the on-site team.

What made matters worse was the complete absence of effective security or staff intervention. The security team (Falcon Eye Security) only responded after I was screaming in distress, when the woman stated she was Turkish and even then, they treated me like I was the problem – siding with the aggressor and dismissing my concerns.

Adventure Cinema staff were nowhere to be seen, and no one took control of the situation. For an organisation that markets itself as a family-friendly and safe outdoor experience, this was deeply disappointing. I expected better safeguarding, visible support for disabled attendees, and at the very least, some basic accountability.

I have reached out directly for a formal investigation, but I also feel it’s important for other potential attendees to know that if something goes wrong at one of these events, you may be left completely alone to deal with it.

Had sent over £200 for tickets for…

Had spent over £200 for tickets for chirk castle, on the day it was thunder and lightning, I contacted the venue to ask if this was going to be cancelled, as flooding on road was terrible and we would've been sat outside in terrible weather! They said no yet they cancelled Ludlow Castle the next evening for the same weather!!
I have tried to speak to a lady called Shelia through emails but is now ignoring me! I have had to contact my bank to get a refund.

Underwhelming

Meh. No speakers towards the back so if you aren’t near the front you can barely hear a thing. It wouldn’t be AS bad if not for the fact they have food/drink vendors running generators alongside the viewing area making a load of noise.

It was all a bit disappointing

We went to see sing-a-long frozen at Hardwick Hall. It rained from the start to near the finish. However the staff were really friendly, not one with a glum face, all happy to say hello and chat to people. My husband drove me in and dropped me off, from the people directing traffic, to the entry staff, everyone was really helpful. I would definitely book again

wentworth woodhouse to see grease

wentworth woodhouse to see grease. said there was music on before and after the film. there was music on before but was so quiet we couldnt hear it at all . asked staff member to turn it up but didnt make a difference. the atmosphere would have been amazing had people been able to hear the music before the film and "got in the mood" for singing and dancing ! disappointing night for all our party

No where near loud enough

No where near loud enough. Their speaker system needs updating. They adv of 60,70,80 music been played before the film (Grease) i couldn't even work out what song it was it was so quiet.
They could have really made this a good experience if only they had the music louder and created an atmosphere and got people in the singing mood before this musical.
It was like sitting in a grave yard waiting for the film to start.
It certainly didn't turn out to be the experience i had imagined i certainly wouldn't recommend to family or friends . A disappointing experience at Wentworth Woodhouse...

Not loud enough-couldn’t hear it

Really disappointed after seeing Grease tonight at Attingham Park. It wasn’t loud enough, we couldn’t hear the dialogue at the back. We made our own fun and had a good time with our friends but we all said we wouldn’t bother again, we just couldn’t hear the film at all. It needs to really boom out. Poor show.

I was a little disappointed with my experience at the adventure cinema. I purchased 2 tickets for my family to see Mamma Mia. However, they said the film was not loud enough as they struggled to hear the dialogue. Additionally, they were seated near a speaker that provided delayed audio creating an echo. I was so disappointed that their experience was not what I expected it to be.
