Got a battery for our aed and it only lasted 3 months. No helpful solution found to replace the battery.

Dear Seamus, we are sorry that you are unhappy that the battery you purchased from us did not last the recommended length of time. Because you have an older AED, that is also out of warranty, this is generally the case with AED batteries. This information is available on our website. All customers are advised to replace their AEDs if they are older than 10 years and/or out of warranty. Despite this, we offered, at no cost to you, to explore the situation further and requested that you return the goods to us for investigation. Our follow-up emails have remained unanswered, so we have not had the opportunity to help you further. If you still wish for us to help you with this situation, we kindly ask that you reply to our last email so that we can work together to find a resolution.

I ordered and AED
I ordered an AED, as a family member has a heart condition that places them at a higher risk of needing one. Two weeks passed after my order with no contact or confirmation of shipping from the company. After I contacted AEDexpert to see what the delay was, I was told that the product was out of stock for some time and they did not know when it would be available. This was never mentioned on the website, during the order process or since I placed the order. After speaking with a manger and making a compliant, I was informed that it is not the policy of AEDexpert to put the availability of specific products on their website. This obviously prevents customers from making informed decisions on what item to purchase. In my opinion any company that takes such a view, especially with such a critical, potentially life saving piece of equipment, is not to be trusted. I could not in good faith recommend this company and to say that I am disappointed with my experience is an understatement. When I made the complaint, I was assisted in getting an alternative device, which was shipped quickly. However I don't believe this mitigated the issues I experienced. If I had not chased the company regarding the delay, it is possible that I would have been waiting months for the delivery of this item. This falls well below the standard one should be able to expect from a reputable company.

Being a multibrand company, there are always various aed's from our range that Medisol/AEDExpert can supply from stock. Unfortunately, because of various circumstances due to Covid, we have experienced a decline in our general stock position of a few brands, which caught us rather by surprise. We are doing our utmost to solve stock issues as soon as possible, while it is our policy to inform our customers by return.
Caused by uncertainty about a specific delivery time, the notification with regard to your particular aed not being deliverable immediately was generated later than we expected, for which we apologise. Actually, right now, we are adapting our systems to make sure we improve this service, based upon the current actuality.
Furthermore, we would like to stress that we are always happy to provide any adivse by phone about what particular aed type is best suited for your personal situation. We can then immediately give you recent updates on which items can be bought from stock. Although we are an e-commerce company, this personalised service in our particular line of business is indespensable.
