Booked for a smart meter to be installed. Time listed as a 4hr slot. No issue with that. My issue is they just didn't bother turning up! Called company to be placed on hold for 10mins while they "try" to get hold of engineer the cut off. That was after 40mins of trying to get through to them! Tried another 3 times. Then after 5hrs!!!! I get a CANCELLATION email, saying please rebook.what a absolute joke of a company.
I can see why after reading the other reviews. Not only have I wasted time calling,making the appointment but also my time.
Wouldn't touch use or even attempt to use again.

Booked appointment two weeks ago, for today between noon and 4pm, just rang them at 2 pm, said definately the engineer is on his way after completing one job, said thats fine and I will wait for the engineer. Just had a phone call from AES, that the engineer is not coming ! I told them that I took time off work without pay and even after the phonecall they cancelled ! totally rude and didnt care that they had to cancell

We recently had some work carried out at our property out of hours on behalf of Octopus Energy, after being cut off from our gas supply due to their error! The technician who visited us in Cornwall and changed our meter was called Ryan Cole and we were absolutely delighted with the service. He made a very stressful experience easily resolved and was kind, funny, polite and efficient throughout. From speaking to him he covers a very large area at all hours of the day, I hope he is paid appropriately for this. An excellent representative of your company.

Had a visit from Adam Boyce yesterday . Contacted me by text with all the information I needed before the apt .
Arrived with appropriate PPE and immediately showed his ID .
So polite , professional and helpful I honestly can't fault him .
Despite a phone call from Octopus to him (not me ) informing him 2 Octopus emplyees would be arriving at my house to "oversee" his work .
These men eventually arrived 15 mins later , time Adam took to give me lots of energy efficiency advice , in 2 separate vans .
The one who seemed to be in charge spoke to Adam in a very belittling manner and swore loudly and profoundly outside my house many times . I found his manner quite offensive and I'm sure Adam did too . He however remained calm and professional .
A really first class employee !

In the process of buying my first EV so had to have installed an outside charging point, the engineers from AES came to install the required kit and I have to say the service was excellent. There were a couple of unexpected issues to overcame which they did with utmost professionalism. The whole process was completed on time I would highly recommend AES

We were booked a smart meter install with AES by Octopus Energy. The engineer (Mr Gaouir) arrived promptly following the automated SMS I received and proceeded to install both meters without issue.
He was polite and pleasant throughout and did a great job despite working in both extremely low outdoor temperatures (there was snow on the ground!) and with no daylight.
Absolutely no complaints about the experience at all.
Easy to use app that shows how much charging is costing
Would like to store more than one car profile
Yet to see how information on charging is shown on electric statement

AES were booked by Octopus Energy to replace my existing SMETS1 electricity smart meter and mechanical gas meter with the new SMETS2 meters.
I was contacted by the engineer on the evening prior to the appointment to confirm.
Ben Chukwudi Amobi Igbokwe arrived early the following day, took all precautions - covered his boots as well, informed me of the work he would do and proceeded to carry out the work. Cadent had left my old gas meter bracket unsecured after replacing the gas main into the house - Ben drilled and secured this to the wall before installing the new one. He checked the static gas pressures and operation of appliances (hob,boiler) before and after replacement of the gas meter as I would expect.
Ben is very competent and performed the swap out and replacement of both meters over the course of 1.5hours in the morning and was finished before 9.30am.
He confirmed the commissioning status of the new meters (can take 24-48hrs) and old/new readings and demonstrated the new In Home Display - which shortly after displayed a message that both meters were successfully commissioned.
Overall I am very happy with the competency, attitude and communication by Ben from AES, and would recommend him and AES based on my experience

As with the other reviews here, AES were scheduled to install a smart meter on behalf of Octopus Energy but failed to show up in their 4 hour window, didn't contact us to let us know they wouldn't be coming and, when I tried calling, well I'm currently still waiting to get through after 40mins of hold music.
This is now the second time I have travelled 70 miles to be at a property to have a 3 phase smart meter installed by this company who are a sub-contractor of Octopus Energy. On both occasions they have failed to turn up and have offered no explanation or apology. On the second occasion I did phone AES to check where the engineer was and was told I was his next job and he was only 30 minutes away. He still failed to arrive and the company have so far failed to offered an explanation. If this is the off hand way they treat their customers I am surprised they are still in business. Octopus Energy must also take some blame, being unable to control their contractors and as a Which best provider their halo is slipping fast

Twice they have failed to turn up as arranged for the installation of a smart meter. They do not confirm anything by email or text and NEVER answer their phone. Seriously considering moving from Octopus Energy because of their use of this cowboy company
