Beware AES in the US is awful! The customer IT support team does not help at all. We had an AES gate system installed which worked great until the company swapped out SIM chips and now the system does not work at all! Firstly the US IT department told us they would overnight the new SIM chip and three weeks later we get it in the mail! Installed witg installer and nothing worked! To this day nothing works! Fast forward several months to two weeks ago, we called the US number and after 10 minutes were connected to the Irish team. The team in Ireland was helpful, but was also not able to reach the team in the US 😐! After a few hours of talking back and forth with the team in Ireland, and some emails, still nothing from the team in the US! Still no working gate! Called AES again today, same thing. 10 minutes after waiting for the US team to answer, someone in Ireland answers! Pleasant enough but at this point I'm not very pleasant because it's raining, cold, and nasty outside and I have to get outside in the weather and drive down the driveway to open the gate every time someone comes all because AES US is not responding to any of my calls or even their own company calls from Ireland! I'm fed up. AES US please get to work!
In September 2015 I bought a BFT Multi- Family 3G intercom system and went 6 1/2 years without incident. I upgraded the system March 2022 out of necessity when the 3G network was discontinued and purchased a AES Global Multi-family Lite. I really appreciated the ease of the app and the ability to do everything remotely. Then it happened, the system began releasing the lock independent of command. On September 2022 it stop giving any newly entered families the ability to release the lock. I emailed AES Global and was told to follow a YouTube tutorial on upgrading the firmware. This is where the nightmare truly began. The system became completely useless from that moment on. Fortunately after switching out a circuit board and changing the Sim card it became operational. But none of this would have been possible without the technical of Kiefer McDonald. He took the time to provide exemplary service unmatched by any of my previous experiences with AES Global or any other service provider I have encountered. I was about to give up on this system and switch to another manufacturer. I understand trouble shooting remotely is always a challenge and can be extremely frustrating to both parties. But Kiefer understood my frustration and was able to restore my confidence in your product. This was done through his professional nature and knowledge of the product. Trouble shooting requires the ability to work your way through a maze without becoming discouraged. Kiefer posseses this gift along with his disarming demeanor. To whom it may concern, he turned my one star disaster into a five star testimonial. Thank you again for everything you did Kiefer

I tried changing the codes to my gate. Ended up locking myself out of the system. Then I went through the phone prompts (it tells private users to contact installer). My installer never answers his phone. I went through the prompts anyway and spoke to SAL. Sal was absolutely amazing. He walked me through the process (i have a intermediate level background knowledge of electronics) and BOOM. Back in working order. He also was polite and humorous during the entire encounter, given I had do sprints between my house and the gate repeatedly to get the job done.
I was having some issues with the Application WIFI Pro 2 which is an intercom and video app that allows me to communicate with my property's security gate. The contractor that installed the system suggested that I purchase a new smart device that would work well with the WIFI PRO 2 app. I emailed the customer service people hoping to get a recommendation for the best device to use with the app. With the time difference with northern Ireland, I received an almost immediate email response. What followed was an email conversation with both David and Kiefer, both of whom were amazingly responsive and knowledgeable. They had all the answers that I needed and stayed with me until all the information had been relayed to my satisfaction. In this day and age, I would say that is an unusual experience! Kudos to you guys. Well Done!
A BFT Call box was purchased in March of 2021 from LA Ornamental of 3708 NW 82nd St. Miami, Fl on said date and they sent a used Call box. On April 14, 2021 another call box was sent at a higher price. THE CALL BOX HAS NEVER WORKED PROPERLY. I tried to get Ralph of Ornamental to help me ... he would send me to someone else they would send me to someone else then right back to Ralph. He stopped taking my calls and I was left with a defected call box. Now AES is saying it is corrosion. or water damage. not from us. Now they want me to upgrade with a price of another $1300 plus dollars. I think they should get on their distributors. This is not right and God sees all wrong doing.

I had an issue with a replacement intercom (AES Prime) causing issues with erratic gate openings. Kiefer at AES Technical responded to my email enquiry within a couple of hours and had amended the protocol (which the installer had mistakenly used) within a few minutes, sending me several emails to keep me updated. I know a lot of reviews here are poor but, in age of dreadfull technical support, this was a shining light how to handle customer technical issues efficiently and expertly
I wish that I had read the reviews before having the new video gate entry system fitted. We removed a perfectly good working one that did not have the video call and replaced it with this piece of c…..
We have had it less than a month and the supplier will hear nothing of replacing or returning this. I am disappointed with the suppliers response saying that they are working on the app. I think that this is a case for trading standards to look into.
I'm heartened to see AES values its reputation by posting reviews of its products on its own website. I wish my experience was positive, but it is not.
I purchased a house 15 months after an AES intercom was installed at the property. It did not work from day one of our ownership, and I understand from neighbours, the previous owner had continual problems since the unit went in.
I received zero response to numerous calls, emails and personal visits from the installer. I went to the importer (I'm in Australia), who inquired of AES UK who, I understand from written communication from the importer, told them the unit was water damaged/corroded and not covered by any warranty. The importer then washed their hands of my problem knowing that under AU law, I had little legal recourse on them.
After 9 months of pursuing the installer through our local consumer rights organisation, I find myself with an offer to replace the unit at my cost.
Could I consider that when the unit may not be fit for purpose - IE, it could not withstand being in the weather? And how could I spend AU$1,600 on a unit that is either not fit for purpose or, was poorly installed, with zero support from an installer/supplier should I find there are problems down the track?
Unfortunately, my experience of this product is - Rubbish!
We bought Praetorian Guard for our gate system. It's horrid! We have had NOTHING but problems with it since day one! They don't tell you there is ZERO support available for the system. They claim a lot of things are good and available for it. We tried wireless/cell, then wireless , then a direct internet connection completely dedicated just to this gate.... And nothing works. It times out all the time. If someone calls and you can click the button to open it may take several times to open. Trust me...DO NOT buy this system. It is better to find a different package or hire someone to guard would be cheaper than the frustration for buying this crappy system.

Total garbage, had nothing but problems since the day it was installed. Currently saving up for a another version from a different company. Just buy the better one in the first place and save yourself a whole load of problems
We installed AES' Praetorian Guard gate system. We are having difficulty enabling all the features including getting the system to correctly display accurate time and day. Initially, I was unable to reach technical support. I later found out that they have changed their helpline phone number. They need to update the # in the literature which comes with the unit. Now that i have the correct contact info, i find them to be responsive. However, it appears that their app has trouble sometimes with android phones syncing the gate's time/date stamp with the phone. They can do this manually from their end but not ideal. Also, having difficutly getting notifications when the call button is pushed at the gate's intercom. Also, a bit frustrating.
We have been extremely satisfied with the AES Multicom Classic and found it to be a very reliable, highly functional but also easy to use system. Build quality is also excellent. As a wholesaler after sale support is very important to us, we have had absolutely exceptional support from the team at AES on multiple occasions and can confidently recommend them.
Everyone that i dealt with was very patient, extremely helpful in all respects, knowledgeable and supportive.
