AFW & my sales person ROCKS!

I just wanted to say that you guys rock!! Everyone was soo helpful...especially Wolf my sales guy. He made my experience so much more fun and easier! He knew exactly what I needed and what I was looking for. Wolf's the man! and now my home is complete thanks to AFW and my sales person :) Thank you!!!

Terrible Customer Service

Went to AFW in Conroe, TX yesterday to purchase 2 recliners and an area rug. Approached customer service counter and explained what I was in market for. Was told to go yo recliner area and a salesperson would be right with me. After 20 minutes was walking out and noticed at least 4 salespeople standing around on their cell phones. Apparently the sale people make enough that they don't need another customer.

We bought sectional 3/27/24 and broke 4/23/24. I called was told someone would come out to look. Then called back no one came for 2 weeks. They said busy. called back 2 weeks said I need to email pictures with receipt did that no one came. then called back we are in may, said email not found send again. did that. Then callback 1 week later said employees no longer there and send to a service.co. I did then i get an email from service.co telling us we are not approved for repair since we have to call within 30 days of incident. AM I CRAZY?? What a scam!! They give no 30 day return even. Never again!!

The sales girl was nice but when the…

The sales girl was nice but when the couches were delivered I was not home. My husband only made sure the electrical functions worked. We rarely use the living room so we did not notice at the bottom edge of one of the recliners it looked like a box cutter cut it. It was noticeable until I reclined one night at my daughter noticed it. I contacted AFW and the customer service rep had me email pictures. She was very rude and claimed they don’t cut the boxes open in that spot. I asked her how she would know how they cut the boxes open. She then said I waited to long. The point is she was very rude and assumed she knew how these men cut the box opened. I will never use them again nor will I recommend the to anyone.

Deklan Thanks for going Above & Beyon!

I’d like to give Great Thanks and Appreciation to “ Deklan” at Thornton Colorado Customer Service pick up. I came in to do a return and was trying to return a small item the first associate did not know how to locate it and in the beginning Deklan also couldn’t locate it at the time and he apologize that this was probably a purchase to where you just pay and go and it is not registered under your customer number. we then looked around the store and other items and Deklan when above and beyond to locate us in the store to let us know that found the receipt in the computer and make sure we were taken care of properly, and he also offered to hold our item and that we needed to stop by to take care of the return. After we finished looking around the store, we approached him and he told us that it was all credited back to our card and wish us a wonderful day and that he was happy to help. Feeling some type of way not having the proper paperwork and someone going to the extreme to make sure that they done everything in their power to help. He definitely made our day. Thank you so much. Deklan thanks so much for going the extra mile we wish more folks were like you.

Phuong Nguyen did a fantastic job showing us options for buying a couch set in Marana, AZ today! We were very impressed with the quality of the furniture and the ease in which she made everything happen for us. Phuong is very professional and pleasant and we enjoyed our experience there today! Overall great service

I don’t understand all the negative reviews.

We have had great service from AFW.
We moved from UK to US so made serval trips to AFW in Katy Texas to purchase various items such as soda, beds and mattresses and dining table.
On the sales floor we dealt was a gentleman named Tony who was very helpful and very knowledgable.
Delivering of most items was within a day or two. We had some dining chairs that were coming from another warehouse but they kept us up to date with the progress.
One of the dining chairs had an issue and needed to be replaced but again this was all done very promptly.
Delivery people arrived when they said they would, left everything very clean and tidy and removed all packaging.

Overall very pleased and would use again.

Delivery sucked

Delivery sucked! The 2 people that delivered our couch were very unprofessional. I watched them roll the Boxes that had our couch in it over down the driveway without using a dolly. The rolled the boxes over and over. It was a miracle that the couch wasnt broken. I was watching from upstairs window and they didn't know I seen this. I tried to ask them why they didn't use a dolly but they could not understand english. They also seemed very agitated and rude. Why do you hire these sketchy people? Im guessing cheap labor. Will not buy from American Furniture again.😒

Great customer service

One thing i really liked is that the salespeople left me alone to look at the item I was going to buy. I hate in when salespeople follow you around, but not here they are very professional and give you your space.
But the main reason for this post is to give Emilio Azzam, the recognition that he deserves. He was very professional, had great personality and he really knew is stuff. Thank you for making my first furniture purchase a great experience. I will tell everyone that goes shopping at your store to make sure they ask for you.

Long time loyal customer lost

We purchased several items at the Englewood store on March 24th, and paid in full via credit card. One item in our order was to be transferred from another store, around April 5th. We called the store on at least 3 occasions in April requesting a status on our backordered item, and was informed each time that our item was on the way. We then visited the store and spoke with Emily on May 6th. Emily informed us that our backordered item was there at the store and she scheduled our delivery for May 11th. She then discovered a $56 charge that suddenly showed up, but was unable to determine the cause. We received confirmation via email and text on May 8th that our item would be delivered on May 11th. We called Emily on May 11th for our delivery window and was informed that our delivery had been canceled due to that random $56 charge that she had discovered was for taxes that were miscalculated due to a store system error. Essentially our backordered item was being held hostage due to an error made by the store! If our order had been delivered as complete in April, this systems error would've been found after the fact and written off. It's very disappointing that this company is willing to lose a long time loyal customer over a $56 company error! Doesn't make business sense!

I usually love going to this place

I usually love going to this place. The salespeople are wonderful, the people who load your products are wonderful, he even delivery people are wonderful. but the customer service is awful! i ordered a white couch. It says Ivory on my receipt. and noted I chose WHITE!
It was delivered with hand prints on it. Of course the delivery people tried to clean it. but it wasn't white, it was yellow. I tried to get a pickup the same day but they wouldn't allow it, so I rescheduled all of my customers to do a Monday pickup, I reiterated I would not be available between 9 and 11 AM, i was told they couldn't control what time it would be picked up and to be available.
I insisted I would not be available between the certain times getting angry! Of course when I receive time of pick up it was exactly in the time I was not able to be available. This was intentional! they literally wanted me to keep it or return it myself. I had surgery last week and I am not able to lift, not to mention I had to lock my animals in a small room so they couldn't get near the couch even wrapping the couch in blankets. I ended up having to return it myself. Due to customer service, not being able to accommodate me. they even asked me to postpone until my day off, which would have been Saturday. But because I moved my customers, I am now working that Saturday. Geological my behind! I work a route and sometimes I have to move things around to accommodate. just pathetic! I really honestly believe this was intentional to make problems for me. i will never shop there again!

Cheap furniture and very poor quality. The couch was purchase on 3/30/25, it is extremely uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time. The Cushing around the frame is one layer and it is uncomfortable. The company refused to return the couch because it is beyond 30 days. It does not say that on the receipt nor did our sales associate tell me that returns or exchanges have to be in 30 days. All questions need to go thru customer service and the rep was rude and dismissive. I was told by customer service that all information is in their website. It would have been nice to know that at the time of purchase.

My wife and I highly recommend American Fine Furniture

My wife and I went in to the American
fine Furniture store there in Stockton, Ca. just to see what they had to offer. After looking around for a few minutes we sure were liking what we were seeing. Then we met the owner, Johnny, and what a great person he really is, personally and professionally. We really weren't looking to buy anything at that time but our experience there at American Fine Furniture and with Johnny, was so great that we bought our mattress right then and there. When it came time for delivery, were we ever pleased. Johnny showed up with his wife for the delivery and everything came off absolutely great. We would definitely and highly recommend the Stockton American Fine Furniture store and to talk to Johnny, a no pressure, very personal and professional gentleman who really listens and gives all out effort. Thank you Johnny for such an excellent experience and all your professionalism. ps. we absolutely love our mattress and glad we bought it.

Almost 7 years ago

Almost 7 years ago, I started the process of getting a bedroom set from American furniture warehouse. Unfortunately there was miscommunication and a difficulty getting the bedroom set delivered. At the time I was seven months pregnant and sleeping on the floor so I ended up going with another company and getting a bed. However, I still got charged with a restocking fee. That is now on my credit of over $1000. I called to see if someone would have some kind of compassion and kindness to see if they would remove it so it could be off of my credit since I never received the furniture and they were never Going to deliver the furniture when I needed it. Because they deliver when they feel like they wanna deliver it’s not convenient for the customer. Only convenient for the driver.I was met with cruelty. I was met with no help at all, and to be honest with you this company should be ashamed on how they treat people who could be potential customers. The fact that I have to sit and talk to someone who was talking to me as if I am a guilty party. It who was no compassion. The fact that I was sleeping on the floor waiting for furniture to be delivered and that it’s my fault is hurtful and it’s amazing that this is what I met with even seven years, after the fact, I even explained to the woman I get that there’s always gonna be more than one side to a story, but some kind of way you would have some kind of compassion towards a woman in that situation. She was unfriendly her manager over her was unfriendly and now I have something on my credit that I’m gonna refuse to pay because there was no help. There was no kindness and I hope one day this company is shut down. So if you ever wanna shop somewhere where they treat you as though they’re doing you a favor by letting you buy their furniture this is the place to go.

Pray there are no issues

We have spent a lot of money at American Furniture Warehouse. We have mostly been satisfied knowing you get what you pay for. However, we warn you that is you EVER have an issue they will not make it right. Recently we purchased a kitchen table and the paint was flaking off. They said “ This looks to be caused more by how the piece is used in the home. As such, this is not a warranty concern.” They have lost a long term customer since they did not want to fix this issue with our table.

We went back and forth over 15 times on claim 81L800463. We sent photos from every angle and distance they wanted to prove the paint rubbed off just by putting a plate down on the table.

Just beware and know there are other low cost options out there that stand behind their products.

Nightmare Experience

We purchased 3 rooms of furniture (and not super cheap stuff). The first time, one sofa was not the correct sofa. The second time, when delivering the correct sofa, it was damaged (manufacturer defect). The third time they brought different incorrect sofa and refused to take (return) the damaged sofa. I did not like being responsible for more possible damage. Plus, they were late. The fourth delivery, which at least this time they were doing the next day and let us pick the window, brought us the correct sofa. We were told they had to check 18 sofas to make sure it didn’t have that same manufacturer defect until they found it. It was the last one in stock. Great. EXCEPT, there is pulled fabric scaring on the arm. I am left with either keeping it or returning the entire set (two matching oversized chairs and two ottomans) for a 15% restocking fee. At this point, I’m keeping it. And even though we were given a $100 merchandise credit (that will expire in one year), I don’t think I’d ever consider shopping there again. Too little, too late. Four times I had to sit around waiting for them to show up, even though I at least was able to pick a window the fourth time. Giving up work and getting very little accomplished

I bought a sofa zero recliner

I bought a sofa zero recliner, the power cord or you plug in your USB and use the control channels for the for up and down. The plate fell off the next day. I called them up and they refused to come back. They told me to bring it in I’ve done 275 bags of chemo that’s impossible for me to do. Now the cushions have giant lumps in them. The quality of this furniture is very bad. The price brings you in, but the quality breaks your heart.

Poor Quality

I purchased a couch in July of 2024 and within months the cushion zipper broke and the cushions became misshapen. I contacted AFW for a replacement cushion cover for the broken zipper and was told it was normal wear and tear. After a few months??? We have no kids or pets.
