Excellent hassle free service

So sad to see all the one star reviews for SNCF. I have just finished a call with OUI SNCF to rebook a ticket due to a train cancellation. Firstly I was notified of the cancellation today for a train due to depart in 4 days time offering a refund or the opportunity to rebook - so plenty of notice. I therefore called SNCF's customer care number where I was treated with great courtesy and every effort was made to rebook me on a train to suit my schedule. This done revised ticketing was sent immediately to my email address - no hassle, no questions just excellent service. Thank you.

Worst journey booking website

Seriously, whoever designed this website must be trying to sabotage train transportation. It's just a buggy mess that never give you twice the same result, when it doesn't just encounter a problem and ask you to come back later that is. Also great is the minimum price of the day preview that actually never exist and is 5 times lower than the actual tickets.

Are you trying to discourage travelling by train?Whoever designed this booking system deserves to be fired.

Tourist Trap—BE AWARE!!!

Tourist Trap—BE AWARE!!!

I thought French wanted US tourists. :( After a full day at Versailles, got on SNCF to Gare Montparnasse. Me and my husband placed our feet on empty seats in front when train ticket people appeared 5 seconds later telling us something about taking our feet off the seats. We apologized and immediately took our feet off the chairs. The two guys then said something about cash or credit card and stuck a credit card machine in front of us. We paid them €100. We discovered a small sign on the side of the train in French saying something about this rule. My French was too short to argue but irate at their practice of targeting tourists who obviously don’t and won’t know about this underhanded practice.

Oui SNCF putting profit and greed…

Oui SNCF putting profit and greed before customer lives in these covid times, putting us in danger by not spacing out people on their trains, just had 6 hour journey on fully booked train surrounded by other people, you cannot eat in the dining car unless you work on the train so are told to eat at your seat, how ignorant and dangerous is that, when the French government says to keep one and a half metres away from everyone else SNCF should do the same, instead of putting people next to each other space them out, other countries on booked trains do it so why does SNCF not do it, you spend 12 months keeping your distance and then get on an SNCF TGV and they have their own rules

Horrible service

Horrible service. We bought 1st class tickets from Paris to Toulon, and there were thiefs from the 3rd World countries in the Gare de Lyon train station who were checking all vagons fir the left luggage. SNCF employees saw them and did nothing about it. My luggage with Dell computer that cost almoat 3000€ was stolen right from the train while I was taking care of my two kids. This is shameful. The very SNCF employees told me that they see these horrible thiefs all the time but don't want problems so they do nothing and let them take out of the train people's baggage!

Could hardly go any worse..

Could hardly go any worse... I first tried ordering through the website, it took the money from my account but I never received the tickets, and this 4 times ! I ordered a first time on the phone because the website can't be trusted where the agent suggested that I keep trying online and did not seem to care that money was taken out everytime (it was a 150e trip by the way so I am not going to get 600e out of my account just to book one trip...) Now they canceled my trip without warning me by email or text and I can't get to customer service. Been 3 times 40 minutes on the phone and absolutely no sign of advancement whatsoever, please book a flight or a bus ticket next time you travel around France folks !

Perfect refund service due to COVID-19/corona

Because of corona/covid-19 outbreak I was not able to use the OUI.sncf tickets. Without asking, I received an email with instructions on how to cancel my tickets. The tickets were a combination of OUI.sncf and OUIGO and I was able to cancel all of my tickets with a full refund within a few minutes. This is first class service and I will use OUI.sncf again in the future and recommand this with my friends.

Terrible website and customer service

We tried to book tickets from Paris to London this week. Their app jumped ahead one month and we ended up purchasing tickets for Nov. 1 instead of Oct 1. When we called to try and discuss solutions, the customer service and website were TERRIBLE. Crashing when we tried to cancel the tickets and rebook. Wanted us to pay for two more and then they might "refund via check for the original two in 6-8 weeks" Uh NO. Don't use this site to book rail tickets.

Try to avoid this company

The website is very difficult to navigate and if you have to make an adjustment to your order, then you have to fully restart.

The customer service by phone is in many languages. Except they do not know anything. They give you incorrect information. In addition, if you try to send an email, they do not understand anything but French.

After 1 month of contacting the customer service back and forth in various ways. No luck yet...
