The Cost of a Missing Original Box is £45.81!
I am deeply disappointed with the refund process provided by AimAct Ltd. for my recent return (Amazon order).
The item, a UPS, was returned to the seller in pristine, like-new condition, having been in my possession for only a few hours. However, despite the perfect condition of the product itself, AimAct Ltd. issued a significantly reduced refund.
The seller penalized the return because I did not send the item back in its *original packaging*, stating that they must now heavily discount the product and sell it as '100% pre-owned'. This resulted in a substantial and unexpected deduction of **£45.81** just for the packaging.
This deduction for the absence of the original box is entirely disproportionate and was not made clear as a requirement for a full refund. As a customer, I did not anticipate that the packaging would cost such a huge amount. While I appreciate that Amazon's system allows them to process the return, the fairness of this significant charge is highly questionable. I caution other buyers about this seller's stringent and costly packaging requirements for returns.
