Stay connected wherever you travel. With an Airalo eSIM (digital SIM), stay connected easily in 200+ destinations worldwide. No roaming fees or hidden costs — just easy, affordable, global connectivity.
An eSIM is like a SIM card, but digital. It's built into your phone and functions just like a physical SIM.
Instead of having to go hunt for a physical SIM card, you can purchase an eSIM directly from the Airalo app, install it on your device, and instantly connect to a mobile network at your destination.
An Airalo eSIM plan gives you access to mobile data, call, and text services. Choose between local, regional, or global eSIM plan to get online in 200+ destinations. You can also choose between Airalo's Unlimited packages for peace of mind, or choose a specific data package, over a number of days. Simply download the Airalo app, purchase your chosen eSIM, install it on your device, and connect to a mobile network when you arrive at your destination!
Airalo eSIMs are available for 200+ destinations, including:
An Airalo package comes with a fixed amount of data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). You can also choose Unlimited data packages for a specified period. Airalo also offers calls, texts, and a phone number for 30+ destinations. If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
eSIMs from Airalo start from US$4.50 for 1GB of data.
Some eSIMs come with a phone number so you can call, text, and access data. Check your eSIM description for details before purchase.
You can find a regularly updated list of eSIM-compatible devices at this link:
Yes! Most devices allow you to use multiple SIMs and/or eSIMs simultaneously. You can keep your primary line active to receive text messages, calls, and 2FA authentication (but remember, they'll be subject to roaming fees).
Happy travels!

I tried to install the esim after arriving in Taiwan, but the directions were unclear -- it involved wading into layers of menus and changing APN settings which didn't correspond to settings on my phone

Preloaded app. Landed in Seoul and connection worked immediately. Then Kyoto, Japan, then Singapore, and finally Taipei, Taiwan - no hiccups. Definitely recommend and will use again.

I have been your client for several years now. To my surprise my 2 latest purchases of eSims were not activated. (one in South Korea and another in Taiwan)
I bought the South Korea ESIM for my October 5 trip. It was not activated, contrary to my South Koreaa experience in 2023. I ended up buying another eSim at the airport.
I gave Airalo another chance, I bought another eSim for my Taiwan trip since I used Airlalo in Taiwan in 2024 and it worked. Furthermore, I used an eSim the month prior which worked so I think my phone system is in the right setting. To my dismay, it did not work again and I ended up buying an eSim from Klook which was immediately activated after the purchase and installation.
I have been meaning to give my feedback - I don't know if I can trust Airalo again :(

I used this in Taiwan and Japan, data only. I was able to track the location of my companions on Google Maps, and exchange texts through Signal. Looked at my emails and news from back home. I will definitely continue to use them.

We have used Airalo for years. We have drifted back to a physical Sim Card on our overseas travels from time to time however, after our last travels to Japan & Taiwan we will only use eSim's bought from this great company. So easy to install, easy to maintain and use, and fantastic option to top up. Never any issues. Simply amazing! Thanks again.

Love using it but this last time I wasn’t able to use or activate it for my Taiwan trip regardless I paid for the service. I don’t know why or what was the problem as it did not activate or connect. As a result, my trip was less enjoyable as I could only use my services with the hotel’s WiFi. I didn’t know how to get a credit refund either.

I’ve tried and few different eSIM services and I have travelled to different places from Tokyo, Fuji area, Osaka, Kyoto, Seoul, Busan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, few States in US and multiple locations in Mexico and never have problem with Airalo. I have been using Airalo from iPhone 10 and Galaxy Fold 3 to iPhone 15 pro and z fold 7 and it’s working wonderfully on them all. Sometimes other eSIM may seem to be cheaper when you compare, but when you convert the exchange rate, I’ve found out Airalo is always about the same price as those with “extra” discount. Not to mention it keeps on giving me some rebate that accumulates enough for my future trip. Love Airalo.

I had an issue in Taiwan were the service stopped working for a day. it eventually reestablished but for people traveling for just a few days or a week one day of outage is a good % of the time.

Every time we travel abroad, we always try to get an Airalo eSIM card because it’s the most convenient and we find that it’s reliable whether it was in Spain, Taiwan, and now in Italy and Switzerland etc. Data plan is simple, easily upgraded, and easily install installed.

I’ve used Airalo twice and both times were beyond frustrating. In Taiwan, the eSIM was consistently slow and often there was no internet at all; on several occasions I had no service for hours. For something that costs about double the price of a local eSIM from the airport, this is unacceptable.
Customer support was another ordeal: the AI chat kept repeating the same basic questions until I was exhausted, and only then did it connect me to a human who admitted they were having issues with their local partners. That didn’t help me get back online.
Airalo sounds convenient, but in reality it was unreliable, slow, and expensive compared to simply buying an eSIM at the airport (which has been faster and trouble‑free for me). I strongly discourage using Airalo based on my experience. Never again.

I used Airalo’s Asialink eSIM during my recent trip across Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, and overall it worked really well.
Setup was super easy — I just scanned the QR code before flying, and my data connected automatically once I landed in each country. It saved me the hassle of buying local SIM cards at the airport.
In Singapore, the connection was excellent. I got full bars almost everywhere, and the speed was fast enough for video calls, streaming, and Google Maps.
In Thailand, the signal was stable in Bangkok and the islands I visited. It used the AIS network, which gave me good coverage even in smaller towns. WhatsApp, Google Maps, and social media all worked smoothly.
In Indonesia, the connection was decent — it worked fine in Bali and major areas, though speeds dropped a bit in more remote spots. Still, I was able to stay online for navigation and messaging the whole time.
The best part is how convenient it was — no SIM swapping, no language barrier at local shops, and instant data in every country. I only needed data, so I didn’t mind that it’s data-only (no local number or SMS).
If you travel around Southeast Asia and mainly need reliable data for maps, chat, and apps, Airalo is a great option. Just make sure your phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked before you go.

I have used Airalo in the US, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sweden, Estonia and Germany and I have come to depend on it whenever I travel. Japan however is problematic - their networks work better with a local SIM provider. Otherwise, Airalo is great! I often recommend it to other friends and family traveling abroad.

I highly recommend Airalo Global eSIM for one reason and one reason only. It Works everywhere I need it to!!!
Regardless, if I walk of the plane in India, Taiwan, China, USA or virtually anywhere else on the planet it connects to a local network and allows me to communicate by all data apps such as email, web, messages and video calls etc. without incurring roaming charges. Amazing.

I couldn't get AirAlo to work in Taiwan at all - bit dissapointed with it to be honest

Easy and comfortable for coonetion and service is wonderful.
However, sometimes difficult to understand the usage , such as this time Taiwan unfortunately noticed that my limit less than 25% and than 10% (3 GB initially boaught0. Then, again I top-up 3GB but next 4-5 days not finished although almost similor use i did, Still may be remains. Despite, thanks for support!!

I purchased an all Asia eSim that worked fine in Taiwan and Singapore however it stopped fairly soon after arrival in India - with no change in settings. I found out that India has banned Airalo - yet you sold me a product that claimed it was OK in India - which was the bulk of my trip. I purchased an eSim from one of your competitors and it worked fine with no change in settings. I had a long hard fight to get a refund, but did get one from you eventually,

I bought E-Sim for Taiwan, but I had no reception on the whole trip. Waste of money. It was not possible to complain.

Airalo has never failed me. Travelled to the countries of Spain, France, Italy, The Netherlands, and the UK. The Airalo eSIMs activated near instantly as we land and in all those countries, it ends up connecting to a major network, which means, great coverage, reliable connections, and fast speeds. I’ve recommended Airalo to everyone I know who travels or plans to travel. My sons, who have travelled to Asia - Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines - both say they’ve had no problems with Airalo. I am very happy I found Airalo.

I’ve used this several times - USA, Taiwan, Netherlands, Canada, Barbados and other parts of the Caribbean over the past few years.
Each time the rate was competitive, the sim worked as advertised. The networks that were connected to were mainstream local networks and all had reliable service.
I would highly recommend using them and I will use them again in the future.

On my last travel to Taiwan, this April 2025, my Airalo eSIM did not wrk at all! That was around 80 USD wasted since I purchased 2 eSIMs, for me and my husband.
I did no have any problem in the USA and Japan, last year.
