Stay connected wherever you travel. With an Airalo eSIM (digital SIM), stay connected easily in 200+ destinations worldwide. No roaming fees or hidden costs — just easy, affordable, global connectivity.
An eSIM is like a SIM card, but digital. It's built into your phone and functions just like a physical SIM.
Instead of having to go hunt for a physical SIM card, you can purchase an eSIM directly from the Airalo app, install it on your device, and instantly connect to a mobile network at your destination.
An Airalo eSIM plan gives you access to mobile data, call, and text services. Choose between local, regional, or global eSIM plan to get online in 200+ destinations. You can also choose between Airalo's Unlimited packages for peace of mind, or choose a specific data package, over a number of days. Simply download the Airalo app, purchase your chosen eSIM, install it on your device, and connect to a mobile network when you arrive at your destination!
Airalo eSIMs are available for 200+ destinations, including:
An Airalo package comes with a fixed amount of data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). You can also choose Unlimited data packages for a specified period. Airalo also offers calls, texts, and a phone number for 30+ destinations. If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
eSIMs from Airalo start from US$4.50 for 1GB of data.
Some eSIMs come with a phone number so you can call, text, and access data. Check your eSIM description for details before purchase.
You can find a regularly updated list of eSIM-compatible devices at this link:
Yes! Most devices allow you to use multiple SIMs and/or eSIMs simultaneously. You can keep your primary line active to receive text messages, calls, and 2FA authentication (but remember, they'll be subject to roaming fees).
Happy travels!

It works smoothly in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore. The only problem I experienced was that every photo and video I took was automatically uploaded to iCloud, so my gigabytes ran out quickly. Make sure you turn off automatic uploads to iCloud 🤗.

It did not work in Taiwan for me. I did all the troubleshooting and it still wouldn't work. It looked like the last number didn't match on my account and there was no way for me to change it. I tried chat, and it didn't help at all. I wasted my money.

While my eSIM worked perfectly in Taiwan, I could get no service in South Korea at all. After literally an hour of unsuccessful trouble shooting on the app, I was given a refund. Silly me tried again in Timor- Leste recently, bought 3 x weekly Timor- specific esims, none of which worked. What a waste of time and money, NEVER AGAIN will I use one.

First E-Sim didn't work in Taiwan. Didn't get my money back.

Brilliant system, got the 20gb multiple countries package for our 3 month round the world trip. Japan, Taiwan , South Korea, Canada, UK, Europe, Singapore. Also used in Australia. Totally seamless, never failed. Highly recommend. Derek, Auckland, NZ

I travelled using Airalo esims all over the world, from Argentina to Taiwan, the US to Europe. I wouldn't use anyone else. Even when I ran into some network difficulties, the team kindly gave me a credit to help me out. Great service! I recommend it to everyone who wants to stay connected, simply, cheaply and effectively.

I heard about Airalo from another friend, and I was really glad to try out and become an Airalo user! I traveled to Taiwan and Japan quite often, possibly once a year, and Airalo never fails on me. I have tried many different SIM cards and esims over the years, and I usually have no connection issues, but the prices can be so different! Airalo is fair priced and the app is simple to use! I love the efficiency and how affordable it is!!

I've been using Airalo since 2022 for my trip to Turkiye. The data connectivity is quite good and has no issues in the many places I've been since. I've used Airalo in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and even Malaysia.

Easy to purchase and setup.
Fair prices.
I used these E-Sims it so far in Japan, China, Thailand and Taiwan.
The connection is usually very good, only a few times I had to select the correct Network operator myself.

I have been using Airalo from pretty much the start, and used their SIMs in USA, Europe, UK, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and middle east, bith for personal and business use.
The service has never let me down, and any minor issues were resolved in no time with their support chat function.
If you need global SIMs, Airalo is the way to go!!

Genuinely, this app has to be the most unreliable I have encountered. During my time in Japan, it functioned fine for a brief period. However, unexpectedly, my data stopped working, leaving me stranded without access to Wi-Fi. Despite my efforts to fix this, it resumed working after an hour in the same location.
Should’ve been my first red flag because during my trip to Taiwan, once again, data connectivity was disrupted, occurring at 12:00 AM, which was a big safety issue as a female traveller. This apps consistent unreliability has left me EXTREMELY disappointed.

I was very apprehensive about being able to set this up.
As I was visiting Taiwan and New Zealand thought it could be very useful.
I’ve traveled to Taiwan many times now and the free wi fi is easy to get.
It’s when you’re in need of wanting to use map for a direction or What’s app.
So I decided to take a punt at £8 felt I’ll have a go. I must say after a few tries I managed to get it to work. So set again to do for New Zealand, this time managed much better and it’s wonderful.
I’m yet to try adding data but sure now not to get stressed when I need this.

I am very surprised by the negative reviews on here. Personally, I couldn't be happier with Airalo's service! I've used their eSIMs during my visits to the USA (various), UK, Taiwan, Australia, and Costa Rica, and I have never encountered any issues.
I found the installation process straightforward. The coverage and data speeds have been excellent in all the countries I've visited (they are not as fast as when at home, but I believe most roaming services tend to be slower).
Also, I love the Airalo app, find it easy to navigate.
I'm planning a trip to China in a few months, and I have no hesitation in choosing Airalo for my eSIM needs there as well.

Had great service with Airalo while in North America, but had difficulties in France and Taiwan. Customer service unhelpful. Will probably not use when I travel again and generally wouldn’t recommend. You can find more reliable providers for a cheaper cost elsewhere!

There are some steps to follow to install an eSIM, but it worked for me for a vacation in Taiwan. No hassle to put a real SIM card in my phone since I already have two SIMs. No standing in a row, making copies of passports, but easily in your home country. I only had no 4G-data on the 12th or 13th day at the Sun Moon Lake, maybe because I don't have a subscription directly at Chungwa. So one star deduction.
