Stay connected wherever you travel. With an Airalo eSIM (digital SIM), stay connected easily in 200+ destinations worldwide. No roaming fees or hidden costs — just easy, affordable, global connectivity.
An eSIM is like a SIM card, but digital. It's built into your phone and functions just like a physical SIM.
Instead of having to go hunt for a physical SIM card, you can purchase an eSIM directly from the Airalo app, install it on your device, and instantly connect to a mobile network at your destination.
An Airalo eSIM plan gives you access to mobile data, call, and text services. Choose between local, regional, or global eSIM plan to get online in 200+ destinations. You can also choose between Airalo's Unlimited packages for peace of mind, or choose a specific data package, over a number of days. Simply download the Airalo app, purchase your chosen eSIM, install it on your device, and connect to a mobile network when you arrive at your destination!
Airalo eSIMs are available for 200+ destinations, including:
An Airalo package comes with a fixed amount of data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). You can also choose Unlimited data packages for a specified period. Airalo also offers calls, texts, and a phone number for 30+ destinations. If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
eSIMs from Airalo start from US$4.50 for 1GB of data.
Some eSIMs come with a phone number so you can call, text, and access data. Check your eSIM description for details before purchase.
You can find a regularly updated list of eSIM-compatible devices at this link:
Yes! Most devices allow you to use multiple SIMs and/or eSIMs simultaneously. You can keep your primary line active to receive text messages, calls, and 2FA authentication (but remember, they'll be subject to roaming fees).
Happy travels!

Airalo has worked pretty well for me I'm Taiwan and the Dominican Republic. It's a little weird to get used to...what to turn on and off and if you don't travel a lot...you forget...but if you need help, connect to WiFi and they will help you

It’s easy to connect as long as you know how to connect it with your phone! Through Thailand and Taiwan, I only had it drop a couple times! I appreciate unlimited data. I just wish I could get one day extension instead of having to pay for three. That’s the only reason why you didn’t get five stars.

I have the hardest time using Airalo in Canada. With Europe and Taiwan, I was fine, but Canada is absolutely the worse. I was only there for about 8 hrs. Bought 3GB, was still driving to Canada from Buffalo, NY, and most of my 3GB were used up. Nothing running on my phone. I made sure to stop all apps.

The eSIM worked flawlessly in Taiwan. Service was nearly always 5G and was available throughout the country, including on subways and high-speed rail.
Selection of the appropriate package was easy. Installation and activation of the eSIM proved simple and fast. The instructions and FAQ were clear and complete.
Cost-wise, Airalo is significantly cheaper than using similar products from my carrier or buying a physical SIM in-country.

I used in 13 countries over the past 2 years. When there is a problem they took care of it for me and that's the reason i gave 5 stars. Taiwan was a problem but i got a refund. They have an AI assistant that is not really helpful but finally i got to a human. The activation process now is much better than last year, it doesn’t require a wifi signal on arrival to activate. That's a big help. But be cautioned, using google maps will eat up your data so fast you will not be happy so watch the amount left from time to time. Overall it has saved me time and money not having to buy expensive SIMS in airports.

Tested Airalo against Jetpac across Indonesia, Korea, China, HK, Macao, and Taiwan. Jetpac was cheaper, offered noticeably faster internet, and connected automatically without requiring any manual setup at each border cross. Airalo constantly required manual switching. Jetpac is hands down the easier and better value option.

Based on my experience and extensive travel in Southeast Asia, while numerous other eSIM providers are emerging, Airalo offers the best combination of price and user-friendliness. I have primarily utilized Airalo in Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. I have, however, also utilized it in China, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, England, and Turkey.
I utilize a Google Pixel 10

cheap and easy data for travel, I've used extensively in Japan and Taiwan. Recently had some network issues that lasted more than an hour and found it frustrating, but otherwise happy.

Easy to navigate, purchase and install the esims. Have now used Airalo on trips to Tokyo, Taiwan and Lisbon and doesn’t matter whether it’s Europe or Asia I never lose my ability to stay connected and navigate new destinations. Also the referral bonus works: I got a coupon for referring a friend. Affordable. Easy. And essential.

Unbelievable signal for my work in Taiwan for offshore

Lowered my phone bill by hundreds. Had to have help at the Taiwan airport for it but got it done. Next trip it was easy to load. LB

This was perfect for our trip to Taiwan, I had great reception and quick data everywhere I needed. I had some issues in the next country with a new eSIM, I reach out via chat and they solved the problem immediately. Great service would definitely recommend.

Very intermittent connection in Taipei, taiwan. Have to keep toggling airplane mode very frequently. This happen in Tokyo Japan too
Bought a pacific eSIM. Didn’t work in Taiwan didn’t work in Japan. Spent 1 hour with their AI terrorist agent and 3 hours with 5 human agent. The so called solution appeared to be a scam. Very disappointed. Used Nomad. Worked perfectly.
At the end got my money back.

1. Poor to nonexistent Taiwan internet (Chunghwa) connection. Had to rely on convenience store WiFi to connect with Airalo customer service.
2. Problem persists after several trips spanning one year.
3. Purchased eSIM from 2025-2026, unfortunately, recent experience completely different from 2021-2024
4. Appreciate most recent refund processed Feb 2026. But no interest in pumping money into useless product.

Sometimes it is really hard to connect the network in Taiwan while using the uber apps
The airlo service works very nicely in Austria, England, France, Vietnam, Taiwan, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. We occasionally have issues in the first couple of hours after the plane lands, but it seems to resolve itself with several reboots and waiting for a while. Overall it is my absolute Goto for data services overseas.

Purchased a local Taiwan eSim with 20GB, 15 days plan. Reception on iPhone 14 Pro was excellent in 95% of the area that I’ve traveled to… mainly from Taoyuan to Zhongli to Taipei. In a few area where reception was weak, there’s iTaiwan public WiFi that’s free to use.

Easy to use and reasonably priced. Some people report the problems they experienced, but so far, I have successfully used it in Taiwan and Thailand.
