Horrible experience at the Addison

Horrible experience at the Addison, Texas location with a Quack of a Doctor. This “Doctor” yelled and berated me for being 9 minutes late for a New Patient appointment that was fully covered by my insurance. I politely explained I had trouble finding the location and called 2x for better directions but no one answered the phone. He yelled at me and said I was “disrespecting his time” and told me FIVE times I was late. Eventually I walked out because I won’t tolerate a “Doctor” or anyone speaking to me so rudely. I think this “Doctor” was high on something because he was jumpy and seemed on-edge, plus he was tossing a ball up and down as he yelled at me. I have no idea how the physical therapy is because I left before we got to that!!

I had a one-hour appointment to reduce…

I had a one-hour appointment to reduce hamstring pain and return to normal activity. After checking in the first 27 minutes were spent talking with about 3 minutes of ham string manipulation or stretching. This helped but the 27 minutes talking did little to improve my recovery. The next 30 minutes were spent in a second office being told what exercises would help improve my hamstring pull strain. I can get this online on the Internet. Out of the one-hour session about 3 minutes were worthwhile. Needless to say, I canceled the follow up session. A waste of time and money. Lesson learned!!

WARNING: Medicare DOES NOT Cover Airrosti

At my first visit I asked if Medicare would cover my visits. The intake person I spoke to was very vague. What I remember being told was that they accept Medicare, but that they couldn't predict how much Medicare would pay. I was told that I would be responsible for whatever portion Medicare didn't cover. I kept trying to get more clarity and wanting to find out exactly how much I might have to pay out of pocket, but was told that we'd have to wait and see once they filed a claim.

Well, as it turns out Medicare DOES NOT cover treatments at Airrosti, which is information that is widely available on the internet. I am now responsible for nearly $500 in bills. And to add insult to injury, the treatments haven't helped at all. My pain prior to visiting Airrosti was intermittent. My the end of the third visit, the pain seemed better, but in it's usual pattern, returned a few weeks later and my bank account has been depleted of $500.

I still suffer from intermittent pain and

Absolutely horrible billing experience

The treatment I received was excellent. However, my experience with billing was absolutely terrible. I was charged almost 10X the cost communicated. Trust nothing they say and talk to your insurance first, truly a horrible Billing system.

Treatment times too short/overcharged

Treatment times too short. Did not result in complete resolution. Billing dept is awful. Overcharged me. Their System determined that My visit would be classified as office visits in which I had several office visits left on my insurance plan to be able to receive treatment from airrosti. Four months later I received a bill for $745. They claimed that they were waiting on my insurance company to verify all charges. I went on eight visits so in my eyes, I was well under my visit limit. They then changed it and said that they built under chiropractic visits in which my insurance covers six visits a year. Of course up to a certain amount. Now keep in mind if you pay cash Airrosti charges around $200 or so per visit. They overcharged me. I received the PDF versions of the bill from my insurance company and it was over $400 per visit. Now deducting the six visits I’m only allowed to get for a year since it’s now labeled chiropractic, they are stating that I owe over $700. Their billing department is terrible and very noncommunicative. Do you want to manual therapy done right, seeking out a manual therapist who will give you the time to allow the tissue to release is Paramount. Also someone who will communicate all charges upfront that way you were not Blindsided later.

First Timer! Great Experience

This is the first time I have been to Airrosti. I literally just went this last Monday. And I am blown away. After my first appointment I got immediate improvement. I have frozen shoulder currently. I have been doing physical therapy for 1.5 with very little results. I have had a cortisone injection with no improvement. So I started looking for different alternatives. I have to drive over an hour to go to my appointment. I am so happy that I went here. I have three more appointments. I am just really surprised and so relieved that there was another option! I was sick that my arm will hardly move. It was a little bit painful of a process but I am already hurting so it is worth the risk! Thank you Airrosti!

I personally went to their center at…

I personally went to their center at Allen TX to make an appointment. I presented my Aetna medicare PPO insurance card. They made a copy of it and setup an appointment for the very same day like 3 hours later. Next day they said we are not contract with Medicare and they billed me for $182. They should have told me when I presented my insurance card that they are not under contract with Medicare. Instead they billed me even though I am 100% covered for the treatment.

Don't trust them with your financial info!

The one appointment I had was ok, but left me with considerable bruising and did nothing to help the pain...I paid upfront for the treatment, and chose not to go back. Then several days ago, I noticed they had auto deducted $40 from my checking account without notifying me of what it was for. The real nightmare is trying to reach their Billing department...I've called multiple times, left messages and emails, and I can't get anyone to call me back. They have a trick they use called "suprise billing" I don't recall giving them permission to auto debit my account, especially when they give no notification of what the charges are for...Stay away from them, and don't give them financial information!

Beware of these folks

Beware of these folks! Hold on to your pocketbook. First of all, I was referred to Airrosti by my Baylor Scott & White health care provider and was told that they accept BSW Insurance. They do but ONLY the top of the line BSW Insurance (I found out later). Upon getting an appointment, I received a text from them advising me to get their Iphone App so that I could take care of my paperwork before my appointment. So, I download their App and every time I open it, it just locks up on the opening page. I called them back & advised them of my issues with their App & they asked if I had a home computer, which I do. They then advised me to get their computer App & directed me to where I could get it. After going to the aforementioned place to get their App, I found out that it was not compatible with an Apple computer, which is what I have. I called them again & told them that neither App would work for me & asked that they either text or email me the information, and they agreed. However, the info that they sent me all referred me back to the Apps that I can’t use.
So I finally got their estimate of my responsibility for the upcoming visit, which was $198.00. They would not accept Medicare or my BSW Seniorcare Insurance. Okay, I can live with that if they can help my problems and give me some relief. I arrive at their office for my appointment and sat down in the waiting room. After a bit, a gentleman opened the window & asked if he could help me. I said yes, I am here for my 4:00 PM appointment. The very next words out of his mouth were “That will be $198.00”. I’m appalled & shocked and told him that I haven’t even spoke to the doc and that he hasn’t even seen me yet. I informed him that I’m not paying him anything until after I am seen.
He then dropped the subject and I continued to wait for my appointment. Approximately 30-40 minutes later, I was called back to the exam room. I gave the doc a CD of my X-rays and the diagnosis after being read by the radiologist. He informed me that he did not need the CD, only the diagnosis. Upon reading the diagnosis, he told me that he did not believe that he could help me, as my issues were not within his field of expertise. After that, he said that he might be able to provide some temporary relief and proceeded to do so pressure point manipulation around my neck & shoulders for approximately 5-8 minutes and the took me to their in-house Physical Therapist who showed me 3 simple exercises to do at home daily. Then he sold me a “therapy” ball for $4.00 and then wanted the full $202.00 payment which I paid.
The doc’s pressure point manipulation did not provide any relief at all and after doing the subsequent physical therapy for a week, it did nothing at all either.
So why didn’t they just tell me when the doc said that he did not feel that he could help me, just send me on my way and cancel the appointment? No, they converse with me for about 20 minutes and take my $202.00. Just be aware of their business practices……..
