The Company is without a conscience
My story is similar to all the ones on here. I gave Airtreks $12,000 for a multi-plane trip. Covid hit and they, of course, received the full refund from the airlines and pretended to put it into a credit for me. When I came to book, it cost an additional $780 for 2 tickets which were currently listed on other sites as approximately $6,000. So, they kept $6,780 of my money. I also had to ask them about changing one of the flights because the airline had changes times. They charged me $200 for that privilege and then, once they had that $200, they contacted me and said they couldn't do it (I subsequently contacted the airline and they changed it for no fee). They claimed they would send back the $200 so I told them to send it via Zelle as that was what I had had to use for them. They had the gall to say they couldn't use Zelle to reimburse me. They want my bank account information. Yeah, I'll be giving them that information right away.

I spent thousands of dollars for an around the world ticket. COVID hit and flights were canceled. I didn’t receive any refund and the staff were extremely rude. They stole so much money from me. I want a class action lawsuit against this company, they should not be operating as they are thieves.
My experience with Airtreks is HORRENDOUS
My experience with Airtreks is very similar to the very many terrible stories here. I have been trying for one year to successfully use my so called credit of $4000. Every time the new quote is exorbitant (requiring substantial additional payments) and additional terms are imposed (must be same route, same passengers, same airline etc etc) which were never part of the original offer by Laura Wadsworth.
Do NOT use this company. Florencia is extremely rude and uncooperative,
I would be interested in joining a class action against this company if someone knows how to start this process.
Would give less than zero if I could
Would give less than zero if I could. They lied to us, said that our flight tickets, which were cancelled due to COVID, could not be refunded because the airline was only issuing credit vouchers, and we MUST rebook using AirTreks. Just spent 4 hours on hold before speaking to the airline itself, they said they had issued a FULL REFUND to Air Treks last May 25th, 2021. Even when we had tried to rebook, they wanted to charge us DOUBLE what the currently posted air fare cost was on the airline they were quoting, claiming that the "fares have increased" since the original booking that was cancelled (nevermind that this was a different flight, and I sent them a screenshot of the actual current pricing to show their lies).
UPDATE: April 6th, 2022--still waiting for AirTreks to do the right thing--emailed back and forth with multiple staff including Florencia and Maria, who state that their policies aren't the same as the airlines, even though their policies say refunds aren't possible in the case of "non-refundable tickets" from the airlines--but in fact these tickets WERE fully refunded to them by the airline last summer, and Air Treks could have sent that refund back to me. Florencia ignored this fact and got indignant that I "threatened" them with the Better Business Bureau because I filed a complaint with the BBB two weeks ago. Of course, AirTreks has NOT responded to the BBB. This company DOES NOT care about anything except keeping your money. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!
Even one ⭐️ is too much for AirTreks
Even one ⭐️ is too much for AirTreks; horrible company. My story is similar to the others; my trip can now cost double and with terrible itinerary.
Can we all get together and take AirTreks to court?

DO NOT USR THE COMPANY OR ANT OF THEIR AFFILIATES, search parent company Bootsnal Travel Network, LLC. Company refuses to give refund for a trip bought at the beginning of Covid. They got me for $6,456.00 for a trip to Australia, a country that as an American cannot get a Visa to enter. Cant change destination and credit expires this year. Their email replies are just enough to say no refund withput admitting anything. I'd be willing to do a class action suit and bury this company and put their employees out of business. They are a ripoff travel agency.
Avoid airtreks at all costs
Similar experience as the other postings. Having nearly $9K worth of African airfare tickets, cancelled due to COVID, I tried to rebook. Airtreks refused to honor the credit and told me that the credit didn’t exist , even though nine months earlier I had an email from them stating that the credit that I had was good until the end of 2022. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Total lack of honesty, professionalism and care .
Horrible
Horrible, tried to reboot flights canceled due to cove restrictions in the country of destination. First attempt, the cost was triple the initial 1628.00. The second attempt was twice the cost. Totally UN-ACCEPTABLE !!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Warning to others
Airtrek told me that they were getting my refund from Delta for my extensive trip to Asia just as covid hit. The process took a long time and when I did get a response from Airtrek they lied and said the airline only refunded a portion, approx 1/2 of the money, Now in trying to use that half refund on a new ticket I find that AirTrek is trying to charge me far more than the same flights I found on google, Next they will not accept any credit or debit cards, only wire type transfers with no protections in place for you. Last I just asked for my refund back and they refused. They will not refund the over $1000 they did agree to credit me. This company verges on of criminal. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!
buyers beware!!!
buyers beware!!!! this company is not closed they are still taking customers and booking flights.
if your flight gets cancelled they will charge you a $100 booking fee every time it happens. in our case it was 3 times. after that we wanted refund after last time flight cancelled and the trip with the travel agency was no longer happening. even though it said you could get a refund if the airlines canceled they are refusing to do so. I intend to also post with the better business bureau as well. it was 2.5 years of cancelled flights and trips. we want our money back!!!!
also you can't actually call and speak with anyone. you can only do it over email which they are mighty slow in responding to!
this place is a scam don't use them if you value your money.
Crap company
Crap company. The stories you read are true. They are stealing money from clients with bs excuses and stories. I bet they go out of business soon because the reviews ate true and their customer service sucks and full lies.

DO NOT USE!
I booked a flight with them that got canceled because of Covid. They said they could return about 50% of my money or I could keep a full credit. I’ve been trying to set up new flights since but they keep making changes that cost money and downgrading from business class to coach. I’ve asked multiple times but cannot get a refund at this point. I’ve spent way more than if I just got a 50% refund and rebooked my own flights. Horrible horrible company do not use!
Incredibly poor service from a company that actually used to care and now doesn't
I have been an Airtreks customer for almost 20 years. It had always provided great service until the pandemic hit. I had booked over $7000 in travel. I had asked Airtreks to start processing refund requests as soon as my flights were cancelled by the airlines, which they were. I was entitled to a full refund. Airtreks completely mishandled the claim. I ultimately got an $800 refund. I have had to hound them for more than a year on this and finally got an email today saying...oops, you needed to rebook by January and take your travel by June. I would have done that if they had informed me that I had this credit. They never did and they take no responsibility for how badly they handled this issue. Instead, they offered to send me an invoice which I could give to my travel insurance. But the deadline to do that has passed. At this point, their service is complete trash. Don't even bother.
Worst travel agent ever
Worst travel agent ever!
Due to COVID, Airtreks cancelled my round the world business class ticket worth $ 9’000. One year later, they have only refunded $ 900. They claim that they work hard to obtain refunds for their customers but their margin (which apparently is 50% of the ticket price) is not reimbursed and the refunds they get from the airlines are a lot lower than standard conditions.
As Airtreks is based in the US, no European customer protection rule applies. Legal recourse is virtually impossible.
If I had booked directly with the airlines, I would eventually have received a full refund. This is my lesson for future bookings: do not trust an online travel agent. Ever.
I WILL NEVER USE AIRTREKS AGAIN
I WILL NEVER USE AIRTREKS AGAIN. In November 2019 we booked tickets from Seattle to Amsterdam then to Nairobi and back to Seattle for an August 2020 trip. We also booked our daughter from Philadelphia to Amsterdam and back. AirTreks was a delight to work with as long as we were booking. But then COVID hit. Under both US and European law if an airline cancels your flight you are entitled to a full refund. AirTreks refused to give us a full refund. They ultimately offered us 83% of our daughter's ticket and 40% of ours all the while claiming they weren't making any money on us. They were very hard to reach by phone and emails could take days to get a response. I persevered but after many phone calls and emails I finally resorted to filing a dispute with my credit card company. Twice someone at AirTreks asked me to withdraw my dispute without offering me anything new. Ultimately my credit card company resolved the dispute in my favor and I got my full refund.
Unfair treatment to customers in times of COVID-19.
Airtreks is the only travel company that doesn't show any consideration or empathy for customers in times of Covid-19 while even the airlines are. Instead of refunding the money, they tell you they cannot offer you a refund without giving any further explanation.
Be aware that the BBB bureau revoked their accreditation due to their unfair policies with customers.
This company only refunded HALF of my…
This company only refunded HALF of my ticket, even though the airlines CANCELLED the flight due to COVID-19! I would NEVER recommend anyone use a company that only returns HALF of the money and then says they are not making any money off of my ticket. RUN FAR FAR AWAY from Airtreks!
Beware! They lost there BBB rating and are DISHONEST
My flight from Capetown to Atlanta was cancelled by the airline AFTER I had not only booked the ticket but also paid a change fee. Airtreks.com is REFUSING to let me know how they got a refund amount of $434.90 US on a $1882.65 Ticket! I expect AT LEAST HALF AS they cancelled Half of my flight OR A PROPER EXPLANATION ON HOW THEY GOT TO THAT FIGURE. They took a change fee payment on top of that $1882.64, $2000 worth of payments they want to offer me less than a quarter of what I paid. They did not even offer me half my ticket as an airline credit. They are using strong-arm tactics and low level customer service agents force into doing something I know is NOT RIGHT! Airtreks.com representatives are being extremely slow to respond and never directly answer my questions. I have had exchanges with: Mark Cala-Or, Laura Wadsworth, Florencia Massaccesi Barbara Segria and Maria Belen Balbi. We have a 25 email exchange and I still do not know how they come up with LESS THAN HALF of what I paid. They have been useless and absolutely no help whatsoever. They keep responding that they did all they can and where do I want my refund, but refuse to tell me what that means. I don't accept that refund and they won't tell me how they came up with the amount. They are being incredibly dishonest in communicating answers to my problems. I sent them DOT regulations and they still ignore them. Even foreogn airlines are suppose to abide by our regulations if they flight from the US. What is my recourse from this dysfunctional and dishonest travel agency Airtreks? The terms on my actual ticket do not match the link they tried to send me in an email concerning cancellation. Please help. On my ticket email THEN: " Cancellations If an airline cancels your flight, they can do the following things: • put you on another flight (same day or 1-2 days before or after the cancelled flight) • refund the ticket If you discover your flight was cancelled when you reach the airport (which won't happen because you checked the airline website at least 2-3 days before your flight, right?), tell the airline staff to put you on the next available flight (even if it's on a different carrier). If you discover your flight was cancelled more than 24 hours before the actual flight date, we'll help you work with the airline to offer the best solution (i.e. new flight or refund)."
Recently they responded to my better business complaint and lied that they have given me all the information about my refund they have yet to even sent me an invoice let alone the documentation that shows how they came up with the amount they are completely dishonest and liars.
Best of the Best
I used this company last year for a multi-country trip and could not be happier. I was informed when flights were changed and AirTreks had me rerouted promptly and without charge. I would use this company again and wished every company would treat customers as they do.
Best Travel Company Around.
I recently completed my second trip using AirTreks. It is so nice to use a service that understands what service really is. From each communication, AirTreks makes sure you understand everything and have all the information you need to have a smooth journey. I traveled to several African countries on this trip and there were no issues at all. I only wish all other travel companies were as good as Airtreks.
