UPDATE TO AJAX RESPONSE BELOW:
We have initiated a claim against Ajax Air Conditioning. You have 14 days to respond, which you have not done. Despite several attempts on our part to settle the dispute without going to small claims court, you have refused to engage in any discussion. Your final response from 24th July stated:
“As I have told you twice, I am not doing anything until advised by my legal team of where I stand.”
Contrary to your claim that we changed the scope, it was you who altered the scope because the original plan you submitted was not viable, as confirmed by two separate AC professionals.
Since you have not responded to our letter of 24th July 2024, this matter is proceeding to small claims court.

We had a very poor experience with Ajax Air Conditioning and its owner Simon. Here are the key issues we encountered:
Poor Communication: Simon did not respond to messages or calls in a timely manner and often claimed to be too busy. His overly lengthy and jargon-filled texts complicated matters rather than clarified them.
Unprofessional Conduct: After quitting the job when asked to move unsightly black cables running down the centre of the back wall, he sent a text the next day as if nothing had happened and resumed to the project. This behaviour was unprofessional and frustrating.
Inadequate Planning: Simon provided unacceptable timelines and ignored our project schedule, which involved other trades and installations. There were no pre-made grilles for the job, showing a lack of preparedness.
Unjustified Cost Increase: The project cost increased mid-job, with explanations that were not justified.
Scope Misalignment: He miscalculated the scope of work, including unnecessary areas and failed to account for posi joists visible in the drawings provided to him at the beginning of the project.
Out of His Depth: Despite claiming 20 years of experience, Simon's planning and execution were flawed. After we removed him from the project, two separate AC companies confirmed that his original proposed setup was not feasible.
We are currently in the process of taking Simon (Ajax AC) to small claims court to seek a refund of monies paid for incomplete and unsatisfactory service. We will update this review once further action happens.
If you want a reliable and professional service, AVOID AJAX AIR CONDITIONING. He was the only trade on our project that caused frustration, anxiety, stress, and anger!
