As an active trader who needs halal compliance, Akinda is the tool I'd been missing
I've been using Akinda for a while now as an active trader, and it's become part of my daily routine, so I wanted to leave an honest, detailed review of what it actually does for me.
The screener is what sold me. It does everything I used to open Finviz for — technical, fundamental, descriptive filters, the full set — so I can hunt for stocks with genuine trading potential. But in the same place it also has full Shariah filtering: a halal-only filter and halal-ranking filters. That combination is the whole point for me. Before Akinda, I'd find my trade candidates on one platform and then re-check every single name for Shariah compliance somewhere else — two separate jobs on two separate tools. Akinda keeps them as two clear, separate steps but lets me do both quickly, correctly, and in one screener. It's honestly the exact thing I'd always wished existed, and it's saved me a huge amount of time.
The compliance side is deep, not just a "halal/haram" stamp. You get full compliance reports that break a company down by its data and revenue sources, with the actual dollar amounts and percentages for each Shariah component. On top of that there's Akinda's own ranking system, which gives me a fast read on where a stock is strong and where it's weak without digging through everything — perfect for a quick first look before I commit real time to a name.
For analysis, the ready stock signals are genuinely useful. What I like doing is analyzing a stock myself first, then reading Akinda's take and comparing — over time that's made me a noticeably sharper analyst. The SWOT breakdowns helped my fundamental analysis a lot too, and the Financials page on stock's own page is one of the easiest interfaces I've used for actually reading and understanding heavy financial statements.
I've also used the Akinda B2B API across several subscriptions as an Quant Researcher and Software Developer for building my own Automated Trading System following ethical way. From an integration standpoint it's been a pleasure — the responses are modern and well-structured, easy to parse and map straight into my own code, and the data has real depth instead of being a thin summary. The documentation is clear enough that I was up and running quickly, and the free plan made it easy to prototype against before scaling up.
What I value most as a consumer is data freshness. Their automated auditing system updates per stock, and from the docs and from what I actually see on the wire, they process a company about as fast as possible after its quarterly or annual filing lands. When you're building on top of an API, that matters enormously — stale audit data silently propagates wrong, misleading results downstream, and that's a heavy responsibility to get right. Akinda keeps the generated data current, which makes it something I can build on with confidence.
What really stands out on the B2B side is the transparency. The developer site has a proper changelog split into planned, pending, and released, so I can actually see where the product is heading — not just what already shipped. There's a full system/status view too: every API endpoint listed with its current live state, any downtime or incidents surfaced openly, and the whole history of updates in one place. As someone integrating against it, that clarity is rare and genuinely reassuring — I always know exactly what's live, what changed, and what's coming, instead of guessing.
The chat support has been a real help on top of that. I can ask about almost anything — API integration, data freshness, even questions about their methodology — and get straight, useful answers. It's one of their newer additions, but it already handles the kind of questions that used to mean digging through docs or waiting on email.
If you trade, invest or build and you care about Shariah compliance, this is the tool I'd point you to, which can cover almost all your needs and is actively scailing, fastly supporting and updating.
