No warranty support Avoid!…

Not sure how it's still got the gall to be selling stock as it doesn't honour the warranty, no response to emails or Facebook messages or its own warranty claim form. Base on chair broken, 10 year warranty but no support to fix it. Avoid the company at all costs.

———

Very expensive but not solid products without any after-sales service

After a few months, the material of the seat and side uprights of the seat went to shreds: the whole coating is rotten… My AKRacing ProX Black/White (value 390 €) is good for the trash bin.

But more importantly, no one responds to emails or Facebook messages, there is no customer service.

Do not buy AKRacing products: it is a real scam!

Horrible to deal with.

Horrible to deal with.
Purchased on their website, 2 days later I got an email with them cancelling my order saying

"because we did not have enough stock to fulfill your order and your payment has not yet been refunded"

What do you mean NOT YET REFUNDED?

I would say avoid at all cost and go to competitor companies like noblechairs.

No warranty, no support

I have tried to contact them several times because the base of my chair is broken and I am still waiting for a response after a month. On the website, the response should be after 24 hours... It is easy to sell a 10 year warranty if you never respond to any warranty requests. Next time I will buy a seat from another company and for whoever is reading this review, do the same!!!!!

Chair ok - service awful - avoid

This review is in relation to the company as it is now and it's customer service rather than the chair itself which was fine for a few years. However, having raised an issue it seems that they do not respond to problems and may well have gone under - as such I wouldn't suggest anyone treats their warranty as worth anything - avoid and buy from a trustworthy supplier that you know will support any problems

How do I get a response from you

How do I get a response from you? I’ve emailed, I’ve completed the warranty form and I’ve messaged via Facebook over the last 2 weeks and no response. My son’s chair is only 3 months old, it’s faulty, unusable and is well within the warranty. If I hear from you and the issue is resolved successfully I can amend my review, but until then you have a very unhappy customer. A warranty is worth nothing if you don’t engage with your customers

Fault after fault, poor quality. Slow service.

Chair constantly breaks. I've owned it for just over 1 year and I've had 3 warranty claims. 2 of which are for the same item. The warranty service is painfully slow. On this latest claim it took them 3 weeks and 6 days to response to my request. 8 days later and the incorrect parts have turned up.

The CHAIR feel is great, The SUPPORT for it is TRASH, in more ways than one

The CHAIR is great. Very comfortable. The issue is the quality AND the CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

The FRAME on the chair has a 10 year warranty. After 8 years, my frame completely snapped on one side. I contacted their support team thru the website. They were communicating with me up until the point they learned from me that I wanted to file a warranty claim on it. All of a sudden, after 2 or 3 emails back and forth, I receive no further communication from them AT ALL. 2 weeks go by... I file another support ticket with the SAME INFO, saying in the body of the message that this is a warranty claim. NO REPLY at all, after a whole week... After waiting a week, I call their office, in California... They are 3 hours behind, on Pacific time, and I get a pre-recorded message saying their hours... So I wait until well-after lunch-time on the east coast, and guess what, surprise surprise, no answer AGAIN... So I leave a voicemail saying my name, my number, that it was a warranty issue I wanted to talk about, and requesting a call back... Shocker! They don't call me back....... why? Because all they want you to do is BUY BUY BUY... They don't want to STAND BEHIND the product that they make... or better yet probably... they product they pay someone else to make... I've had people in my friend circle who are very tech-savy people tell me that AKRacing is up there with GTRacing, and SecretLab, and all the big-names in the gaming chair space... but, with this service, I DO NOT see how... Their support team who is there for their product that they sell is absolute garbage. I will not be buying from them again just because of the fact that they have ignored support tickets and calls deliberately, knowing that it's something they won't make any money back on. AKRacing, all you had to do was stand behind the product that you made millions on selling to people... My $300 won't make but a scratch on your end-of-year financial statement.. but maybe if thousands of people see THIS, they will vote with their wallet and go elsewhere... Maybe THEN you'll re-evaluate where you went so wrong... but, I doubt it.

I have been using this product for two years

I bought this chair on amazon.de two years ago (Order # 302-1518155-3262759). It's presenting problems with the structure and with the leather covering the chair. I contacted the warranty, and they told me that they do not cover leather issues. The chair itself is visually beautiful. However, it is uncomfortable. If the goal is to sit for many hours to work, it will be quite hard.

Destroyed my life

It is with a sense of genuine disappointment that I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the product acquired from your esteemed company. The inherent flaw in the reclining mechanism, which regrettably appears to persist as a recurring issue, has significantly compromised the intended functionality and usability of the item. Furthermore, the choice of utilizing a textile variant that exhibits an excessively harsh and abrasive texture detracts markedly from the anticipated comfort and quality associated with such a purchase. In light of these pronounced deficiencies, I find it my obligation to dissuade prospective consumers from considering your company as a reliable source for such products.

My chair is broken now

My chair is broken now. I bought the Max model chair around 4 years and 4 months ago and here is my experience.

1. After contacting The support team they did not read my explanation and told me we will send you the replacement parts. The parts they mention were 1/3 of the problem. after explaining to them again and again + photos and videos they simply did not respond to the message for 4 days. and the contact box on their website makes you wait forever and no one shows up.

2. the Max model chair suppose to support up to 180kg but it's not true. My chair saddle is broken and is not possible to get fixed unless the whole bottom gets replaced. it also causes the bent of the mechanism.

3. pillows last for 1-2 years and there is no replacement.

I like my chair but I do not suggest anyone buy it due to bad support and warranty.

AKRacing is RIP OFF with 0 Customer service

0 Customer service given...
This brand has very poor service for their warranty.
The helpdesk is not helping/responding AT ALL.
When contacting them through Facebook they claim they are not responsible for their own product they make.
Thanks AKracing 🙂 Great customer service you guys give thumbs up.

After facebook messaging with them, due to no respoding them on any emails they have send me this message.

And as said in the message below i contacted the company they told me to contact and PCB is not doing business with AKracing anymore for over 6 years because of the poor quality they deliver.

So mr. Director of AKracing please reply :)

" Hello Chris,

Ulyana here, director at AKRacing.

First of all, I am very sorry that you are experiencing problems with your AKRacing chair. As far as I understand from our internal conversations, there has been a certain degree of misunderstanding going on. According to my information, you would like to claim the broken chair under the 5/10 year warranty advertised by AKRacing B.V. on the Overture model you purchased on Nov 30-2020.

Unfortunately, our 5/10 year warranty does not apply to the Overture model, as stated in our official EU Warranty Policy, which Shelly has pointed you to previously: https://eu .akracing. com/pages/warranty-policy. The 5/10-year manufacturer warranty is only applicable to our current product range listed on eu.akracing.com. The Overture model is not and never was part of this range. In fact, AKRacing B.V. never officially carried the Overture model in the EU and therefore has no a) legal obligation or b) technical possibility to offer a warranty for this chair simply because we never offered it for sale and do not have replacement parts for the chair.

The Overture model you purchased was sold in the EU by a 3rd party distributor, PCB that is not affiliated with AKRacing BV. They are the importer of the product and therefore have a legal obligation to service the product for their advertised warranty term. The warranty terms for AKRacing products distributed by PCB can be found on their website: https://akracingeurope .eu/warranty-policies/. Specifically, they read: "Manufacturer Warranty
Thank you for your interest in the products and services of AKRacing Europe.
This Limited Manufacturer Warranty applies to all products purchased from AKRacing Europe or any of our official resellers.
What does this limited warranty cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the first two years from the date of purchase."

I would therefore recommend reaching out to PCB and requesting warranty service for the Overture model from them as you are still within your 2-year warranty term until November 30-2022. You can contact PCB at akracing @pcb.se or, if you don't hear back, here is a mode detailed list of contact information with phone numbers: https://pcb. se/en/Meny/Contact

In case PCB refuses to warrant your claim, I may suggest opening a chargeback with your bank for the transaction because you're being refused service for a product within its warranty period.

Once again, I am very sorry AKRacing BV is unable to help with this warranty claim. "

After a convo today i get this message of them regarding to PCB :)

PCB are lying to you. They were the one and only distributor until 2018 for AKRacing products. The chair you purchased was distributed by them. AKRacing B.V. Never sold that model in Europe. Oh and Trustpilots reviews ARE for PCB.

Chair broke within 23 days, customer service is useless!

My wife bought me a Core Series LX PLus chair as a birthday present. I wanted a good chair and this one ticked all the boxes, 330 Lbs max weight (I'm 190), metal armature and base, good reviews...
We got the chair via Amazon and I was instantly pleased with it, it was sturdy and comfy, the only thing we noticed was the base was not metal but made of some kind of plastic (while their website states it comes with a metal base).
Long story short after 23 days of use, the base broke, rendering the chair unusable as it cannot hold all the wheels.
I contacted AK Racing support since this comes with a 5/10 years warranty.
It took them 5 days to reply to me, stating the claim was opened and accepted but the part was on backorder and I will have to wait an undetermined amount of time before the part can be shipped.
I replied and asked if I could have an ETA on when I would receive the new base and if by any chance I could get a metal one as advertised for this chair model. It has now been another 7 days and no one from AK Racing dared to reply to me yet. I'm now considering buying a 3rd party metal base so I can use this chair again.
I'm really disappointed that a chair with a $400+ price tag is so poorly built and that the AK Racing customer service is ridiculously bad, if not non-existent! Also, stating the base is metal when it's clearly plastic is totally misleading! Sadly, I cannot send it back and get my money back since it's past the 30 days return period with Amazon!
Not worth the money! They lied on the product build and their customer service is a total joke!
Disappointed is an understatement!

Update: I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 because AK Racing support was finally effective after a couple of weeks of battling with them. They sent me a replacement based and this time it is a metal one. I wish they added a replacement kit to detach the broken base from the gas lift (you can buy them on Amazon) but they didn't so I ended up having to use a rubber mallet to hit the gas lift and take it out of the broken base (which could have ended in a damaged gas lift but I managed to get it out without too much damage). The chair is now back to fully functional but I still believe they shouldn't sell this chair with a plastic base when they list it with a metal base. I also think their products should not break within a month. Last but not least, their customer support should be more responsive and I shouldn't have to chase them again and again to get things done while the chair is under warranty, it should have been a seamless process but they made it very difficult.
